NHL Highlights | Blackhawks vs. Panthers | October 7, 2025

Please turn your attention
to the ice for the unveiling of our 2025 Stanley Cup Championship banner. As our banner makes its descent, it will forever
honor the 2025 Florida Panthers as back-to back champions and serve as the ultimate symbol of
determination and a selfless team first mentality. Chills as the banner rises to the Raptors here at Emirate Bank Arena. All that’s left is
to drop the puck and we’ll do that next. Hey Jason. Hey Sam. Welcome back. Welcome to the 2025 2026 NHL season. Time
to man your battle stations. Oh, how great is it to have hockey back? Mundell
wins the draw. Baby Barkov back to Forsley. gobbled up by Spencer Knight and off the draw
rolled towards the net trying to keep it alive with Sportsling could not. Badard moves in. That
shot off the post and it’s up into the netting. Oh, how much velocity on the quick snapper
from Connor Baddard. Almost beat Babski. Forsling scans the outlet to Bennett through
center on the hop across the line. Drops one to Mar. That wrist shot blocked finds it wetland
with a drive into the glove of Spencer Knight. Mikola with his long reach moves the puck
swept out tape to tape March Haggy across the line. Twoon one with Bennett. Then it
shoots. Save made by Knight. Moved in by Reinhardt. Centering pass off the stick of
Murphy. Found its way to Lundell. Reinhardt fights his way through contact. Close to
Raiden. Tips out of the net once again with the glove. It’s nice right through the top of
his crease and Reinhardt has it behind the net. Back to the point it goes to Forsler. Long wrist
shot save made and trapped by Spencer Knight. Some nice puck movement. One thing
I can notice down here at ice level, too, the officials have been great in terms of on
ice communication for the players. You got time, you can move it. Ice it. Hold it. It’s right back
to Spencer Knight. Patiently plays it to the far half wall. And now it’s outleted and a step moving
in. Nazar breakaway. scores the first goal of the season to Frank Nazar on the breakaway and the
Blackhawks on the road have the early lead. He evades the first four checker goes indirect and
that’s what spurs and nice little unselfish play by Tyler Batuzzi that springs Nazar and Nazar has
breakaway speed. It’s on full display as he snaps it past the glove. One- nothing Blackhawks.
Oh, do they have high hopes for Frank Nazar? Nazar scores the first goal of the season. Swatted
towards the net, blocked in front on the doorstep. Score. The Panthers answer and it’s the fourth
line. Poking it home. AJ Greer. We’re tied at one. This is all about game management. Watch AJ
Greer with speed. A little chip to space and then get on his horse. Number 10 in red. King it
in is Marian. Back to Jones and that shot goes wide. Marian first to the puck. Pivots through
traffic. Coming. Penalty call. The hustle and effort in the offensive zone of Marian will give
the Panthers their second power play. I think this one’s going to a tripping infraction. Chicago
Moni Tripping. Fred Marshian last year only two goals in the 10 games he played in the regular
season for the Panthers but then six goals in the finals. Unbelievable. He was unbelievable.
Score shorthand side as Verhagy is able to beat Knight stuffing one home on the power play and
the Panthers have the lead. Well, here’s another look at that play and Spencer Knight goes for the
post check. He’s got it, but he’s a little bit out of sorts, but he regains his post only to lose his
footing. And it’s fed forward. Marian with a step, tries to split the defense. Marian moves
in, slides it right. Save made by Knight on Bennett. Marian almost able to dive and force
one over to Sam Bennett. Knight read it. He hit a post of the first period as well. Nice outlet.
Nazar off the one touch from Bertusi. Across with Terrain. Feeds it to him. Shoots. Save. Papowski.
will score. It found the back of the net. Oh, it looked like Babsky may have gotten it with
the blocker, but Terrain is able to sneak it home to tie the game at two. Disappears as you could
see. Marshand across the line back doors to the backhand save. Knight on for Hangy. Well, Weeksy
the coach knows. Absolutely. Here’s a tow drag. A glad shoot. Save Knight the rebound loose.
Los Arena tries to tee it up across the line. Leans in shoots. Save it made by Knight hugging
the right post and it has it back. There comes a play right off the rush and Aaron Ecklad shoots
rockets. He gets all of this. Knight already made a glove save on him and he makes that save and
look at this lost art. Spencer Knight staying on his feet. Sam Bennett trying to go up high the
way Verhagy did the firing pass flutter just wide of Knight right on the doorstep was cutting. Nikes
the puck up not past Pratusi. One touch to Renzel. Renzel off. Badard fires one off the shoulder of
Babroski. Really good opportunity. Expensor Knight pushes off the post and gets just enough off of
his arm. Point blank on cut it. And then Badard with a rocket, but Sergey Babroski says no. Center
with speed across the line. Back hands one moving in. Try hard. Save with the pad by Knight and
Verhaggy Trove. Vanette by Connor Murphy. Possible twoon-one the other way. Bard across the line.
Baddard to the backhand to the forehand. Save made by Babroski. A terrific crossover by Baddard. And
Babroski said no. Colton docked the outlet. Some speed across the line. Gets a return. Save. Babski
kicked the left leg out. Wow. And was able to get in position. Future Hall of Famer on the case.
Bob Rosski is painting. Look at that flexibility coming across with a big time split. And how
about this pass by Carnabard. He puts it on a pillow for Doc who doesn’t get all but he gets
enough but it’s Sergey Babroski to the rescue. Marshan with a stick lift wins the puck skates
the stick for HGY up top. Kulakov wrist shot save is made by Knight. Kicked it to the far
boards. Bhaggy reverses. Marian centers spam it into the skates of Renzel I believe.
Not sure it found its way to the pads of Knight. Spinama on the outlet by Jones. That
shot off the blocker of Knight. Poked ahead to Doc and he clears Dickinson with a step.
Dickinson wrist blocker save made by Babroski. So no lack of action here so far to start the
third. And watch Marian. Beautiful pass and a great great defensive effort by McKay. And here
come the Panthers in transition. You see cuten initially looking past goes shot. Spencer Knight
extends the arm and at the other end same thing for Dickinson and Sergey Babroski. Impeccable
positioning there. The outlet to Rodriguez center circle cross corner it goes leaning
in. Samoscavage out in front. Score. Tiptoe by Funkquist. Out of midair from the Samoscavage
feed. The Panthers have the lead. Every coach harps on breakouts in the Dzone. A perfectly
executed one here for Paul Maurice’s Panthers. And then a little indirect play to speed. This
is absolutely perfectly executed. A baseball player with that little bunt. He’s going to beat
that and then some. And speaking with him today, Landell puts one towards the net, rolls in on
Knight, digging for it most centering pass ends up at the blue line and breaking back the other
way. The Panthers through center. Verhagy on the back hand. Verhagy off the outside of the
net. Well, he got it back to the forehand and now tries to bank one off of Kaiser and Knight.
And that almost found the back as well to Terra Biden. Banks one to Nazar who moves in. Nazar
had it float off the tip of his stick. It’s out to the neutral zone. Greer a steel. Gajovich
moves in. Centering pass save made by Knight. Terrific setup and Spencer Knight does it again.
and escaping as Mare looking over his shoulder to see if he has support. He’s by himself. Shoots.
Save is made by Knight. Terrific singular effort as Spencer Knight is doing everything he can to
keep the Blackhawks in this one-goal game. Hands one off. Reinhardt brings it across the line.
Reinhardt dangles. Reinhardt shoots. Save made with the blocker by Knight. Wow. What a shift by
Reinhardt. An even better save by Spencer Knight again. Nazar drops. Baddard carries. Net empty
for the Blackhawks. Baddard finds a trailer. Terra and shoots. S. Babroski. And the rebound put
right behind Babroski. Orling looks to move it. 6 seconds to go. Stopped by Renzel. He couldn’t
keep it on side and Chicago will run out of time and the Panthers will win on opening night as the
Rats fly here at Emirate Bank Arena. and Babroski.

  1. Blackhawks did way better than i thought they were going to do. Knight kept the score low but their team made it hard to score anything. Happy to come off with the win but i see a better season for Chicago so they should be happy too.

  2. Bedard please bring us back to the 3x champs we were between 10-15. They were actually savages for the modern era. Instead of Kane an towes it’s bedard an nazar

  3. Great game and I hope, with a lot of pleasure to witness glory for the 3rd time, with so much fun in South Florida , mainly in the Miami area. I really hope they win it again which will make this sport even grow faster…it’s fantastic to see the Florida Panthers changing Miami..in sports.
