no, not if they have to be on the nhl roster for 30 days
Nope, no roster space for a goalie move
Nope, let Zherenko run and see what he can do on a full season of AHL starts. Let him have a make or break season
No.
Why would we do that? Hofer is a solid back up and Husso has flailed since he left. If we claimed Husso off waivers, he would need to stay on the NHL roster, which means we would have to either carry 3 goalies on the roster or trade either Binnington or Hofer. So no, we should not.
I remember when everyone thought Husso was going to be our future goalie and that he was sooooo much better than Binner, I kept saying he’s not very good and was told I didn’t know what I was talking about. Looks like I was proven right once again. If it’s one thing I know it’s goaltending, I spent a lot of years playing and studying that position.
…what
No. Binnington and Hofer split duty this year (mostly back-to-backs and weaker opponents or heavy schedule weeks), and the Russian goalie carries the load in Springfield. Seeing Ellis go, the Russian knows his time is NOW. Two years from now, Binnington is gone unless the Blues have gone deep into the playoffs, and that’s the Russian’s chance.
No
With Zherenko and Will Cranley returning in Springfield, I think St Louis is covered for backups. Cranley is young but did well in the ECHL and had a couple decent AHL games. Big Z ran hot and cold, but letting him be the big dog in Springfield makes sense given he’s been around a while. It does seem like a make-or-break point for him.
JFC. No.
No, we wait until Ellis gets waived by the Sabres once UPL comes back and send him right back to Springfield.
Nope. I only go after a veteran goaltender if there’s an injury to Binner/Hofer and Zherenko hasn’t played well in Springfield.
Dumbest thing I’ve read today
No he sucks
No way
No. There’s a high chance we get Ellis back when UPL comes off IR.
Ville “1 shot 1 goal allowed” Husso? Naw, let Vladim get the reps in Springfield and see if we can’t loop back on Ellis here soon.

Ilya Samsonov is still a UFA.
