Atlanta Falcons Receive ENCOURAGING Update On 3 Key Playmakers | Falcons News
[Music] You’re going to double dose some moose today. This time talking about some Falcons injury updates that believe it or not could be trending in the positive direction for the Dirty Birds. Welcome in Falcons fans to Falcons today by Chat Sports. My name is Moose and on today’s episode, booyah. We’re talking about all three of those players that Raheem Morris talked about at his most recent press conference, giving positive injury updates. And you know how much I love Raheem’s press conference skills, but every so often he’ll give you exactly what you want to hear. And on today’s episode, he did, especially when it came to one specific player on the defensive side of the ball. But then he also gave us two other injury updates. one to Cadrell Hajj and one to Darnell Mooney, but of course the one on everybody’s mind being AJ Terrell. So, let’s talk about Mr. Terrell, somebody that got injured against the Minnesota Vikings in week two. Now, before I continue on talking about what that injury meant for the Dirty Birds and why they’re missing him so badly, do me a favor. If you love these little daily updates twice in one day, do me a favor, hit that bell notification. Once you’ve subscribed, you select that bell notification, you click the all button, and you will never ever miss a time that we post. So, like I said, Raheem Morris came out, talked about AJ Terrell, and basically said that he feels good that AJ Terrell is going to be back for week six, that he will be practicing this week. That is very good information. Obviously, we know, like I said, that AJ Terrell injured himself against the Minnesota Vikings in week two with that hamstring injury. Here’s what we know from Falcons Wire, who I trust with my life when it comes to my Falcons news. Terrell missed the last two games, but Raheem Morris said that he’s looking forward to getting his number one corner back in time to face you know who, Mr. Josh Allen. Terrell will return to the practice this week. And while there’s no guarantee he plays on Monday, he is definitely trending in the right direction. So you might look at that and go, well, there’s no guarantee, but there was never a guarantee when they made him week to week. So the fact that he is coming back to practice this week, a fact that we have not really seen over the last couple of weeks where he’s been in his street clothes or just absent from practice, is a good sign. If he’s going to practice, that means he’s trying to gear up to play. That’s the great news. And don’t let the stats deceive you. AJ Terrell is a dog. You know it. I know it. We don’t have to talk about what he does well on the field, what he brings to the Falcons secondary. The only fact you need to know is that the secondary gets even scarier with AJ Terrell in the lineup. And again, another thing that we’ve talked about numerous times over the last week on this channel is how good I believe this Falcons secondary is, especially when the pass rush gets to the quarterback. The they are so sticky in coverage, you will force so many errant throws. This uh Falcons defense, by the way, number one in the league in yards per game allowed. number four heading into week five in opponents passing an opponent’s passer rating per game. So you tell me what you think about this Falcons secondary because I believe that once you get AJ Terrell back from what we’ve seen from Billy Bowman Jr. Jesse Bates is always good. Xavier Watts has been the biggest surprise in the NFL and I don’t even want to say it’s a surprise cuz I called it. He’s been the biggest steel in the NFL. That’s a better way to say it. And of course, Mike Hughes is my Q. He’s probably your weakest link. But if you want AJ Terrell back, if you can’t wait to get CB1 locked down corner back in the lineup against the Buffalo Bills, do me a favor. Hit that thumbs up icon. And if you don’t want him back, well then you’re not a Falcons fan, but like it anyway. All right, let’s talk about the other two guys, right? Cadarl Hodgej. There’s a lot I could say about Cadrell Hodgej. He’s been a non-factor this season. He did miss the week four against the Commanders against or excuse me, he missed week four against the Commanders with a groin injury, but it’s not like he was doing a lot on the field before that. And I have one very empty statistic that will leave you feeling not so great about Mr. Hodgej. But before we do that, I have to tell you about my friends over at Factor Meals. Look, the fall time is the time for you to get back on your schedule, right? It always feels like it’s a complete reset. You know, the kids are back to school. So, Raheem Morris then was asked about Cadrell Hajj and Darnell Mooney and he said that he’ll know know more about those wide receivers as the week goes on. The Darnell Mooney thing I’ll touch on here in just a little bit. That kind of doesn’t make a lot of sense given what we were told from Ian Rapaort just last week. But let’s focus on Cadrell Haj for just a second. I’m kind of over the Hajj, but he’s got no receptions in the 2025 season. He’s just a body at this point on this field and I get it. Injuries, right? I’m totally aware that when a player is playing injured, they don’t look nearly like themselves. I totally understand that. But come on, if you were to tell me that Cadrell Hajj was playing injured and he had five receptions on the year, I’d be more understanding. If he even had four or three receptions on the year, I’d be a little understanding. But zero catches. You mean to tell me that you go from an NFLbodied wide receiver to someone that is a literal non-factor on the offense because of one injury? Come on. That’s just It’s just bad. It’s pathetic. And maybe somewhere down the road, Cadrell Hajj gets put into a trade package if the Falcons are serious about getting another playmaker on the outside because right now Drake London is your number one. Darnell Mooney with his injuries doesn’t look nearly good enough. And then your next best playmaker is Kyle Pittz. We’re not talking about Bejian Robinson right now because he is a running back even though he’s been kind of like your second best wide receiver up to this point. So, let’s focus on wide receivers again for just a second. Darnell Mooney, who injured his hamstring against the Commanders in week four, and prior to that was dealing with that shoulder injury that limited him uh to not playing against the Buccaneers, comes back against the Minnesota Vikings. Has been very slow into getting back to who he is. It’s not really been the ramp up that we’ve been expecting. Here’s where the confusion comes from. This was last week, September 29th. Ian Rapaort, they don’t put out misinformation. Like, they’re very calculated about what their tweets say. And he said that despite the hamstring injury suffered in the win against the Commanders, it was likely that Darnell Mooney wasn’t going to miss any games. But then Raheem Morris comes out and says that he’ll have more of an update on them later this week. So, has the injury gotten worse? Has it been misreported that it was worse than originally thought? Like, I just don’t know why every single time we hear some of this information, Raheem Morris gets to the mic and says, “We’ll have more information to you later.” It just it doesn’t quite click with me. Here’s what does click. You’re going to need every single one of your offensive firepower weapons to beat the Buffalo Bills. Period. You will need Cadrell Hodgej. You will need Darnell Mooney. You will need Kyle Pittz, Drake London, Bejon, Tyler, every weapon that this team has, you need. And if we’re singling out Darnell Mooney, again, the injuries, they’ve clearly prevented him from being the Darnell Mooney we know and love, which is that over the middle of the field at the line of scrimmage, yak monster. It’s just been kind of blah in 2025. So, I need him to get right. Hopefully, the by-week was good enough for that, but it has to be a bounceback game for Darnell Moody. I I can’t have another performance where he goes out and has four targets, two receptions for 23 yards. It’s just not good enough. You got to find the end zone. You got to have a game where you go, even if it is just a slow ramp up game, you got to have four or five receptions for 50 or 60 yards to get yourself back into the swing of things. Darn Mooney is one of those players that it’s a non-negotiable. He has to be playing well for this Falcons offense to operate at the very best that it can. But when it comes to a player that I need back in the starting lineup, somebody that I really, really need on the team to make their most immediate and most impactful impact, impactful impact. Nice. It’s AJ Terrell. So, I’m typing my AJ’s. But if you think it’s Cadrell Hajj, if you think it’s Darnell Mooney, you let me know down in the comment section down below. For Cadill Hodge, type KH. And for Darnell Mooney, type your DMs. Don’t fire in the DMs, but type your DMs. But I’m typing my AJ for AJ Terrell. That’s going to do it for us on today’s episode of Falcons Today. A little news dump for you. Sorry that one wasn’t so analytic driven. Uh sometimes I like to just give actual reports based off of what the head coach has said. So until tomorrow, Falcons fans, reminder to rise up, like the video, and be cool. [Music]
Falcons star corner A.J. Terrell injured his hamstring in Week 2 against the Minnesota Vikings and Atlanta Falcons head coach Raheem Morris said he is “looking forward” to getting Terrell back from injury to face the Buffalo Bills in Week 6 of the 2025 NFL season. The Falcons secondary improves immensely when A.J. Terrell gets back in the lineup and they will need all the help they can get to get to a 3-2 record. Falcons Today host Trace Moustakas runs through the latest injury news for the Atlanta Falcons on this Falcons YouTube video for the fans of the Dirty Birds.

Ill be glad to Terrell back. I dont think I want Anderson out there against Allen his 1st week back. Deablos speed is needed for that. With AJ back we have everyone covered. Just dont let the run game kill us. Hodge is our special teams ace. But besides that bucs ot td hes forgettable

We love khadarel, great of special teams and great locker room guy
Give him a break he wr 5 at best
Hodge is a special team’s nightmare bro!!
Honestly if you told me preseason that the Falcons would start 2-2 without Terrell I'd be happily surprised. Most people would have been surprised about 2-2 even with him. Hopes are high rn
Moose you’re losing more and more credibility everyday… hodge is our best special teamer and was a pro bowler last year
👍
Hodge was never really a WR for the Falcons. He was a pro bowl special teamer. That’s been his role.
Bills Defense is 28th against the Run. I would like to see nonstop Play action from Zach and a Run heavy offense this coming Monday night.
Hodge never was good idk why yall keep thinking he’s a contributor
Rise up moose big baaaaby baaaaby
Falcons gonna win 28 17 falcons
Aj
Not to sound harsh Forget hodge falcons and focus on Casey Washington and improving him
Dm if he starts getting better

Bijan's great elusive skills which is one of the best ever, will be the reason they go deep into the playoffs if they do. Of course it will take solid play from Penix as well. Robinson must stay healthy. Algier is above average but he is not among the best ever like Robinson. I would never get rid of either one of them.
They should never rush that injury with Terrell. I would let it heal.
They are not throwing to Hodge, come on man give him a break. We need him, we are not deep in that position.
nick nash should be in rotation asap
DM
Moose u being alil to hard on my BIRDS sometymes Bruhda sum tough love is understandable but u jus got here try breathing more life into tha fan BASE AND BUY SUM GEAR WHY DONT CHA!!!!!! 👍🏾
Moose Hodge won 2 games last season, and it is early this season. The man has earned benefit of the doubt.
My biggest worry this week so Allen running the ball on us , we have a problem with Qb’s running on us
Hodge been injured since the preseason what are you talking about?
AJ
