New York Rangers VS Pittsburgh Penguins Free NHL Betting info 10/7/25
Welcome back to Raw Sports Talk. I’m Chris, your favorite stat reader. My favorite time of the year. Uh NHL hockey is back. It’s a fantastic time of year for me. We have the Rangers hosting the Penguins. So, my team is playing on opening night. And the Rangers are minus 225 on the money line. The Penguins are plus 185. The overunder is at 5 1/2 goals. The Penguins getting a goal on half on the puck line or minus 142. Meaning if you were to bet them that way and they win this game outright, you win. Or if they lost this game by one goal, you win. and the Rangers laying a goal and a half on the puck liner plus 120, meaning if you bet them that way, they got to win by two goals or more. Now, these are the overnight odds. They will change the closer we get to puck drop tomorrow. They played each other three times la four times last year. And obviously, this is the first game of the season, so they have yet to play each other this season. Takes about 10 games or so. you’d kind of see who’s doing good, who’s doing bad, how they’re scoring, how they’re killing, uh, power plays, how they’re doing on the power play, uh, so on and so forth. Um, the Rangers won the first game in Pittsburgh 6 nothing. Then they won 4-2 in New York. Then the, uh, Penguins did beat the Rangers 3-2 in New York. And then the Rangers beat the Penguins 5-3 at uh, in Pittsburgh. So the road team, head-to-head, the Rangers are 7-3 against the Penguins in their last 10. The road teams won the last two. The road team is six-4. The favorite is seven and three on the money line. And the favorite winning by multiple goals, laying a goal and a half is 6-4. There have been three onegoal games in their last 10. The under is 63 and1, but at 5 1/2 goals, the over is 7 and three. And all but one game that they played against each other last year went over the 5 1/2 goal mark. Um, it’s supposed to be Jarry in net for the Penguins and Sherskin in net for the Rangers. Neither goalender has been confirmed yet. That’s who’s supposed to be there. Uh I’m going to take the Rangers on the money line. I will take the Rangers laying the goals. I’m going to go over and we’ll kind of hope that last year with Sherskin was going to be a bit of a fluke. But we saw what happened in Boston when they paid Swayman suddenly they didn’t have enough money to pay any other players and it ultimately led to how terrible they looked last season. Um, if there’s going to be a bet that you’re going to put in, it seems like betting on a team that comes from a no state tax state to win the Stanley Cup is probably going to be your best bet because they’ve been winning them a lot lately.
