  7. Carter Bear is going to be a fun player to follow in the WHL. The young man will come out lighting the lamp quite a bit. He has to be excited. Played in pre-season games against NHL established players… all good stuff.

  9. Contacted Vintage Detroit, who I use for all my customizing, and they said they do NOT have the material or patches for the Centennial Jerseys. I wanted to get an A for my Raymond, but they don’t have them, or any material for that jersey.

    They were kind enough to send me to CustomizeSports’s website to check, and they do indeed have it there. You can get the whole customization kit for a blank Centennial, but they also let me just order an A. Ordering it was a bit weird, as I couldn’t find a product page for that specific A only, but their customer service helped me out, assuring me they have that specific A. You have to go to the generic “C” or “A” product page and then manually type in the team, year, and style of patch you want and then add to cart.

    Won’t be here in time for opening night, which is a bummer, but I already have 3 more games at the LCA lined up in November lol. Woo! Still beyond excited to be there opening night tomorrow.

  12. Each of the following have nice potential (for the NHL). And I think so far, they have been good in their respective leagues. 8 forwards. This is a very positive thing. Additionally, two things come to mind for me. Firstly, just another reminder of how deeply the cupboard (shelves) were empty. Second, drafting is so key.

  19. So intersting discussion on here last night about the influence Todd has had on the Yzerplan and after reading some thoughtful takes we should be really happy he’s the HC if we weren’t already.

    The Yzerplan is coming into shape because of him.

    He decided Finnie, MBN and ASP were ready for the show and he decided to get rid of rotating ACs. These things weren’t likely dictated by the Front Office, Todd probably said the kids were ready and Yzerman probably supported that decision.

    McLellan has been busy and honestly doing a great job. It’s also interesting to think about how previous coaches were kinda fucking things up and slowing down the rebuild.

  21. The Red Wings already have tenacious forwards with strong hockey IQ in Kasper, Finnie, and MBN. Now add into the mix the following: Kiiskinen, Bear, Genborg, and Svrcek. I like it!!!!

    Genborg 6’2″ and weighing in at around 205lbs. 18 year old with a April 20th birthday.

    So far… 9GP 3G and 2A.

  25. I think Sullivan is a pretty good coach and the Rangers have some interesting offensive players. The fact that their 2nd PP unit yesterday literally 2 minutes into the game included Rempe and a guy the only signed on Monday (Sheary) is mind-boggling

  27. Is it unrealistic for me to want a centennial jersey with the name sewn (not name plate) in plus no priority patch? Should I just accept the truth that at least the name will be a name plate?

  31. Kyle Connor officially signed an 8x$12m deal.

    I think there was someone in here that said he has a friend that knew KC pretty well and he said he had nothing against our organization but would never play for Detroit because of the pressure that comes with playing for your hometown team.

    Who knows if true. This doesn’t necessarily substantiate that rumor but it doesn’t hurt it either

  35. I get why the Wild did it, but it must suck to sign Kaprizov for 17 only for McDavid to sign for 12.5 (albeit as a short term discount) and Connor to sign for 12.

  37. Looking back at the Dobson thing; you have to think he’d either completely box out ASP for a spot, or at the very least forces him to the 3rd pair in the short term. (Assuming he wouldn’t have gone the other way in the first place). Feels like this is the better direction to go; save that capital and cap space for a forward if you can snag one.

    My heart still pines for Ke’Andre Miller, but he wasn’t cheap either. 😛

  38. DAE think the season is starting too quickly? I really feel like we need another half day in TC plus another 400-625 preseason games to get the guys tuned up.

  41. The lulu lemon and NHL collab seems like a shitty money grab that doesn’t even have unique gear and it’s outrageously priced.
