Both YaYa and Reddick have actually done really well in advanced stats so far (Both actually lead the league in pressure rate when under 2.5 seconds). Sacks will come, it’s not bad play..

I do think this is an interesting stat, but I’ll also say that no one is complaining about Houston’s edge rush because Danielle Hunter has 4 sacks, and Will Anderson has 3.
Our sack leader is Vita Vea with 2. So our edge rushers are getting home significantly less often than Houston’s.
So we can’t cover for 3 seconds got it.
Yeah I’m not too down on us. I have faith in this defense to improve as the season goes on especially Diaby. Sucks that Kancey is out for the season tho

Why did the Denver Broncos with Nik Bonitto, Zach Allen, Jonathon Cooper and them boys terrorize Philly and was able to sack Hurts 6 times just the week after we played them? A team that lead the league in sacks last year and is on pace to shatter the all-time record this year
We Houston… I witnessed Aireontae Ersery stonewall Diaby and earn the highest grade of his season up to that point and Tytus Howard struggled a bit against Reddick but held him in check enough. Just to see them play Jacksonville the following week and Josh Allen and Travon Walker tea-bagged their tackles.
The edge group just isn’t playing well enough. They don’t fucking finish and let sacks slip away constantly: You got these advanced stat guys coming up with these convoluted explanations on why these muhfuckers can’t get to the QB lmao
By the way majority of the Texans sacks come from their dynamic duo at edge. The Bucs sack leaders are always D-tackles since 2022 like we have fucking Aaron Donald or Geno Atkins at the helm
