All right, it’s great to see some hockey here on opening night. Three games are on the slate. We’re going to start it off with the champs here in Sunrise. This one gets an early start because they’re playing them kind of three in a row here to feature the games on opening nights at 5:00 p. p.m. Eastern, 2 Pacific. Tune in a little earlier if you want to see them raise the banner and bring out the Stanley Cup. The Florida Panthers host the Chicago Blackhawks. Florida’s been dominant in this matchup. Bring on Chicago for an easy opening nighter, huh? Uh they’ve beaten Chicago in eight straight games at home. They have taken just seven of the last 10 meetings overall. Chicago’s actually upset them a few times of late. I don’t know how that happened, but Chicago’s uh trends coming into the season don’t really inspire a lot of confidence here. They got Spencer Knight in goal, but Chicago finished the season winning just 14 of their last 19. I guess that was kind of their average by the end of the season and just 13 of their last 17 on the road. Meanwhile, Florida was 14-6 at home during the regular season and then in the postseason as well where they went 4- one of course in their last five games at home on the way to the title. Now, both teams are kind of going over there late in the season. You know, Chicago was already done. They didn’t make the playoffs. We know that. But on opening night, I’m expecting it to be a little bit tight at least for Chicago trying their best here to play a little bit of spoiler on the Champs big uh uh celebration night, if you will. So, uh maybe some solid goending in there, too, with Bob in the lineup. And uh uh I think despite the fact that maybe these two were kind of going over by late last year, especially Florida in some of those playoff games, I’m gonna I’m gonna have to take uh I’ll take Florida to rock here. That’s what I’ll do. Give me them on the puck line here on opening night. We’ll see. I right now I’ve got Chicago. I mean, probably at the bottom. I don’t know. Maybe you could put another team or two down there with them, but I’ve got to think right now Chicago, you know, bottom bottom two or three teams in the league here at this point. I’m willing to say Florida as a favorite here. I wouldn’t look at them necessarily on the futures market here as far as uh uh this year’s champs are concerned, but you can’t go wrong hitting up the market right now. I mean, you got the basically the top uh seven teams in the league are all between 15-2 and 10 to1 it feels like right now with Carolina and Edmonton both at 15-2 to win the title. Tampa Bay is 8:1. The Knights are plus 850. The ABS are 9 to1, Florida plus 950 and Dallas 10 to1. After that, you’ve got New Jersey approximately 15 to1. Toronto 18 to1. The Kings play tomorrow night. They’re 22 to1. Winnipeg in there at 28 to1. The Rangers, we’ll talk about them in just a moment in a group of teams that are h maybe 35 to 40 to1 with Ottawa, Washington, and Minnesota uh there. And that that might be where you could draw the line with the contend playoff contenders I think a little bit. You have Montreal, St. Louis, and Utah in the 50 to1 range. the Utah Mammoth. Um, if you know what I mean. So, right, great to see the NHL is back and, uh, Lex is ready to go as Lex is ready to tail some picks, I think. All right, give me I’ll take Florida here on the puck line to roll on opening night. I might be a little square here on opening night. Thank you for watching.
