Paul, the Sabres, uh, they open up tomorrow. The Rangers played last night, got shut out by Pittsburgh, and the Rangers will come in here for tomorrow night’s opener at Key Bank Center. Looks like it’ll be Alex Lion in net. Let’s talk a bit about the goalending situation because they also claimed a guy off waiverss from St. Louis. And um, do you like this move? I mean, I know it’s a waiver claim is what it is, but they had just signed George Ev. Now they wave him and claim Ellis. To me, it it at least looks like, you know, they’re aware they’ve got so much uncertainty there and they’re willing to try a couple different things. Yeah. I honestly after talking to him and listening to Lindy Ruff, as Lindy Ruff said, it was just something they they felt they could not pass up. I guess Ellis has been on their radar for a while and it was an opportunity they felt they couldn’t pass up. They saw Gorgievan preseason as we did. It wasn’t good. I mean, it wasn’t any better than what I’ve seen the past two or three years. Um, but on the other side of the coin, too, the my I’ll tell you what my first thought was. If I’m Deon Levi, I’m like, excuse me. Yeah, we we we talked about this a little bit. Yeah. Uh, you just picked up a 25-year-old goalender who was in the AHL with me last year, and our numbers are almost identical last year in the AHL. Uh, so that was the first thing I thought is what’s Devin Levi thinking and what’s his move going to be one of these days. Yeah. So, we talked about that with Owen and his his theory, Paul, was like maybe that Alice is a bit more disposable here, whereas Levi, they’re invested in this idea of a development arc. But I I don’t know like it’s it’s it’s been a while here for Levi and he’s continuing to do the job and they just feel he’s still not ready because even um Armstrong, the GM of the Blues, I mean I I put some quotes from him in the article and he said he was somewhat surprised just because Ellis doesn’t have an NHL resume. So he was surprised the Sabres would grab him. He would he would have thought maybe they would have been looking if they were looking for somebody, they’d be looking for somebody with, you know, more experience because his first game is his next game is his first game in the National Hockey

I don't know much about Ellis. One thing I do know is that Levi does have an NHL resume, & it's not good.
