This runs counter to the entire purpose of having a changing QR code. The purpose is to prevent sharing but they’ll let you share as long as you do it through a wallet app? It would seem the answer would be that you need to trust the people you are giving it to and allowing them to log in to pull up the discount code or to be with them to give them the discount.
This has never worked for us. I have the STM discount pass in my Apple wallet and neither my husband or son have ever been able to get it to scan from a screen shot.
I asked the cashier last night at the signing event and she said that the Apple wallet code will not work and must scan from the app. Conflicting information it seems
It doesn’t seem like anything is being “fixed” as more information is there now. Shows my pay in full credit and discounts where it didn’t show them yesterday.
