"Lot of pace, lot of space. Spo taught us that. I remember after we lost to Dallas, he went to Oregon and sat with Chip Kelly — that was their whole thing in football: pace and space. Get up to the line, run a play, get to the line. We’re going to make the defense real tired. Get to our sets. I’m going to give you two or three plays in advance."

I wonder if that pace is part of the reason we have our 3rd quarter breakdowns. Should be even faster this year too with a younger squad.
and despite being the best version of himself when he was here, he still chose to leave and pass up the opportunity to be even more iconic, all because they didn’t let him run the show.
It was also specifically tailored to LeBron. He ate against a disordered defense in open space
Crazy how much Spo has quietly changed NBA basketball. The Heatles with pace & space in the modern era & small ball. Now he was one of the first to switch 1-5 and play zones (especially zone no one was doing that before Spo)
Basketball genius.
I wish Westbrook could have learnthis early on
