  1. So, this time we should score 5 runs in the first inning… Only for the Brew Crew to score 5 themselves

  2. 35% of the playoff AB’s have been strikeouts. Averaging 11 per game. Let’s not do that today, right guys?

  3. I feel like I made peace with the season midway through Game 2 but crazier things have happened. Even if this is it, I’ll certainly miss tuning in to Cubs baseball over the next six months.

  4. Getting ready to head to the ballpark and listening to Pearl Jam’s 2016 live album from Wrigley for good luck. (I was at night one, still one of my favorite shows ever.)

No matter the result tonight, I can’t wait to watch playoff baseball at Wrigley. I went to so many of the 15-17 playoff home games without a ticket and just stood outside the park listening to the radio broadcast and soaking in the atmosphere, so to finally make it inside will feel very special.

  5. Today’s the first time this series that I feel relaxed and optimistic about the SP. (I have the downvotes to prove it, lol) They can win this! Go Cubs!

  6. Obviously early game pitching has been dogshit but we’re also killing ourselves with stupid mistakes, gotta settle in

  7. The offense has rightly taken a lot of the blame

However, if I told you any playoff team allowed 7 and 9 runs in Games 1 and 2, would you honestly expect any wins there?

  8. Winning today is the biggest monkey off your back. Once you get that W out of the way, the climb feels manageable.

Obvious statement. But it’s 2 games. Winning 2 games at home shouldn’t feel insurmountable when we’ve done it at home without Horton.

  9. If the Brewers are whiffing on a lot of pitches today, I’m going to be really questioning if they are stealing signs at home.

  10. Regardless of how far they get from here this was still a pretty great year for the Cubs compared to most and I’m pretty happy to see if we will get better going forward.

  11. I have a ticket to Game 4, so come on, fellas! Let’s get three in a row – that’s called a winning streak. It has happened before…

  12. Really interesting conversation happening in Mariners-Tigers game about Mariners runners blatantly signaling batters. Not illegal, of course, but something about seeing it done so blatantly and out in the open is off-putting. That kind of thing used to be more of a covert thing.
