On Foul Territory he even mentions he was talking to the Red Sox!

More Manny is always a good thing
obviously, he’s grown up, but based on his ability to make connections in the past and his reclusive use of Fenway, I would say no.
I’ve never seen the really good hitters be good coaches, they could just do it. The hitters that had to scrap and claw often understand what has to be said to younger hitters so they can improve.

Can Manny teach Hamilton how to lay down a bunt?

“Ok so let me reach you how to be one of the most naturally gifted hitters of all time and also take steroids”
“See the ball. Hit the ball.”
Dude still puts in the work, seems to be pretty spiritual at this point in the, gained humility. Check out his IG.
“Never ever swing on a 3-0 count”
Anything is better than the plate discipline I just watched in those 2 games
I don’t think Manny had a good history with our front office. They might be apprehensive to offer him a job
Still the only hitter I’ve seen set up pitchers.
Bad idea. Elite players are usually terrible coaches. Throw him in the minors if anything and move him up if he does well
Random piss bottles in LF. I’m all in.
Saw him at HR Derby X in August and he couldn’t hit shit. Worst player on the field.
A lot of the dodgers who came up when Manny was on the team said he was amazing to work with. I don’t hate it, but I can’t imagine Manny abiding by driveline.
Can he teach them to get on the gas?
Can he keep interest for more than four weeks?
I love manny but all he’s gonna tell players is “hit it like manny!”
Give me Manny or Give me…. Not death…. Maybe shelter? Either way I’d love to see manny in the dugout alongside Varitek if we can hold on to him
Manny’s plate discipline was off the charts. I don’t know if that can be taught, but it’s worth at least a discussion.
Paul Molitor would be a better choice.
One of the best natural hitters to ever play the game. Not signing him would be a mistake.
Do we believe this ig account at all?
Considering it’s dubious if he’s fluent in English or Spanish and is prone to be a massive distraction, this is probably a bad idea.
Then there’s the fact that he may not be able to impart anything he did that made him successful, even with minimal verbiage.
Go ahead, Mets. Best wishes.
Dude is probably the best right handed hitter I’ve seen. Idk if guys that good make good coaches because there’s a sort of “it just comes to me” with their game that’s hard to teach someone
Just have him in the clubhouse doing something! He was one of the best hitters of our generation…I couldn’t imagine he’d be the worst candidate.

“Look, guys. Hitting is perfectly simple. Just have an absolutely perfect swing, an eye like an eagle, and hit beautiful frozen ropes every time. Simple.”
Hitting step 1 – Cut off EVERY throw from center field.
Obviously he’d have to demonstrate some ability to teach, but if he can? sure!
