at least resolved in the short term and moving into this phase now. Just how are you feeling? Yeah, I’ve been great. I’ve been great. Got the first couple practice out the way. Good. Seen all the guys competing hard last couple days. First day of rough practice. So, it’s been really fun. I compete. I’m happy to be here. Is it almost kind of like like for you even like mentally in a way just to kind of get it behind you now this year? Yeah. Definitely send the pass, you know. I mean, it’s a business. I know that. But I’m here to come here, play for the city of Philly, play for my teammates, play for coach Nurse, and to go out there and do whatever I can to help this team win. For sure. A lot of guys when they’re not signed, they’re limited what they can do to prevent injury. So, I guess what were you able to do workout wise during the summer and where are you at physically right now versus where you would have been this time, you know, had you known you were going to be over the summer? Yeah, I knew it would take time not being able to play with getting up and down with the guys, but I was down at UFH and if y’all know anything about Coach Samson, I was I was in pretty good shape. We were down there working out with the guys and competing down there with some some live actions and stuff like that. It’s my first time really getting up and down five on five, but I feel like I’m in great shape. Coach Hansen had me doing some pretty good conditioning down there for sure. What was the toughest part about this whole ordeal for you? Was it not being around a guy? Was it one of those things where you thought, you know, you deserve the money that you wanted to get and you didn’t get it? What was the toughest thing for you? Uh, probably just the waiting process. You know what I mean? This a business. I know that it’s the NBA. Um, there’s things that you can’t control and stuff like that contractually. uh and stuff like that, but I kept up with a guy like Tyrese, Trendy, I knew Trendon, EG was hitting me up, Kelly. So, yeah, we have a pretty pretty close-knit group of guys checking in on me. I wanted to be back. Um, so I’m happy to be here right now for sure. And you said you didn’t realize it was business. So, there’s no no hard feelings or anything like that with the way the negotiations went. I mean, n not at all, man. I come out here to play basketball, you know what I mean? Without without control, I try to control that how hard I go in the gym preparation while working on my body and I leave that up to my agent in the front office, you know what I mean? Hopefully I get to be back here sign a longer term deal. I want to be back here in a longer term deal. But you know I mean I’m happy to be here right now. I’m g do whatever I can to help the team win. You see yourself can continue on that you saw. Yeah I think I can definitely I feel like just coming in talking with coach nurse talking with assistant coaches and letting me know like come in play play my game. Any shots that’s open you shoot it. um be attacking mode at all times and just come out there and make make the right play, make winning plays, uh make the right reads on offense and just be pick up even more on defense, get back to the the two-way guy, one of the two-way guys in the league that I know I can be and just keep building up from there stack days just because you are getting a little bit of a later start than some of the guys. Just kind of what have been sort of your first priorities to getting reaclimated with with the group as quickly as possible? Yeah, we got some new some new wrinkles on offense, stuff like that. I’m trying to get the terminology down just to kind of get more reps in with the guys, know the plays a little more. Um, I was only here for about two months last year, so we got a whole new offense and I came here a little late. So, I’m just trying to get as much rep guys as I can before practice, after practice, off days. Uh, got here on Saturday. I think I was Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. So, trying to get as much rep as possible as I can. You come back, you know, a lot of Tyres. What do you think about your role in think of a guard right now. Yeah, I feel like we can just push the pace, you know? I mean, that’s the name of the game right now in the end day. Pushing the pace, lot of shooting, go out there and try to push the pace as much as we can. Try to play fast, get them down, um, put as much pressure on the defense as we can. I feel like there’s a lot of guards that can attack the rim, uh, make plays, make the right reads, lot of shooting. So, we go out there and just play play for each other and try to help each other out as much as we can and everything will take care of itself. Impressions of DJ just getting out. Yeah, he’s he’s definitely athletic uh competitor for sure. Um definitely like to play, you know, I mean, go out there and just try to affect the game as much as he can disrupting the game on defense, but he definitely an athlete for sure. Definitely. When you look at how you finished last year and your impact that you made here, what’s like the biggest element of your game or the biggest thing that you feel like you sort of found or were able to show there that you can still carry over um this year? Um I think just my just how being dynamic with the ball, catching shoot, making plays off the dribble, scoring off the dribble. flat. I kind of showed that a little bit in Dallas and here was kind of magnified a little bit more with the ball kind of consistently in my hand. So, just trying to keep up with that all summer. Um, keeping up my ball handling, my my making the right reads, I pick and roll. So, I feel like just the whole time just try to carry that over to the season for sure. Thanks, Quinn. Perfect.
