It would have been annoying too if we did hire him because he’d have gotten one last ‘fuck you’ in on us. He’s doing a great job of ruining his reputation, so that’s been pretty cool
I’m glad we didn’t hire him. But I’m also still equally mad we hired Raheem Morris.

It would have been stupid to hire a guy in his 70s for a partial rebuild of a team
The fact that he got absolutely *ZERO* offers from the 7 NFL teams that interviewed him should have ended the conversation right then and there.

And I’m not super happy with Raheem but I think we are in a better spot now with him than if we hired BB.
As a Duke alumni I hope this never ends, I don’t want him to leave ☹️

I remember last year this sub being PISSED about passing over Belichick for Raheem Morris.
He’s always come off as such a dirtbag to me, but I assumed it was a shtick or a front. First he did the jets dirty, now completely ostracized himself from the pats organization, then he does this at UNC? Bad guy, bad guy.
Not signing him, or Watson were heavenly.
I don’t think Raheem will lead up to a Super Bowl or anything, but I feel confident he’ll leave this young team better than he found it. Bill would have burnt this team to the ground and set it back 5-10 years by bringing in all his “guys” and forcing us to draft a bunch of mediocre white small school players. Rah is a bridge coach and that’s fine. Bill would have been an absolute dumpster fire.
I really didn’t understand why anyone wanted him in this fan base.
He is old as dirt…and seems to not even have the obsession for the game anymore..
That’s why I didn’t wanna go that route.. he is not the same guy that won’t all those superbowls.. and even then a lot of it was Brady and McDaniels. He just ran the defense and made the big decisions and their defense had been trash for quite some time.
