Can we just skip the first inning the rest of this series?

Left a lot stranded today
Just couldn’t get the clutch hit with runners on to break it open. Get em tomorrow.
A sweep was never gonna be easy. Let’s get after them tomorrow and end this shit!!!
Had plenty of chances and could not capitalize. The 8th inning was the opportunity. Get them tomorrow. I don’t think I could handle the game 5 stress.
If you are going to Freddy tomorrow you HAVE TO get it done. If you use Freddy and don’t win game 5 makes you so vulnerable
Tomorrow were gonna end them. It is written.
People in Chicago don’t understand how
Uncool that song is. It’s the lamest shit ever made
Cubs burned a lot of their bullpen, just come out swinging tomorrow.
Yeah if we don’t win tomorrow I’m gonna be fuckin scared! But we at least made them sweat tonight
Turns out a combo of Lockridge- Ortiz at the bottom of the lineup did not work!
Kept it close, bats were connecting, just couldn’t quite get it done. Feeling good about tomorrow.
Honestly still not worried. Brewers looked pretty bad today and only lost by 1? Crew in 4.
Entirely the first inning too. Man this loss isn’t a killer but we had so many chances to take the series I hate leaving the door open for them. Damn man.
Ugh. We gotta get it done tomorrow.
Still, we won decisively the first two games and the Cubs barely held on in game three. I like our chances, but nothing is guaranteed.
One thing seems obvious though: if the Cubs moved on they’d get annihilated by the Dodgers
Don’t worry guys. A sweep in the playoffs would be nice but the cubs are tough, they aren’t going down without a fight. Keep doing what got you here. 2-1 still up. We got this
Bats need to be better tomorrow. The good takeaway is that we’ve been keeping them to only scoring in the first few innings. Hopefully their pen is taxed.
After a disaster start from Priester the B-team bullpen gave us a good shot and set us up pretty well for tomorrow
😞: …..PCA strikes out
😂: PERKINS STRIKES OUT!!!!!!
Fuck the commentators for real
Some weird offensive decisions this game
Lockridge bunting and the awful Turang AB after leadoff double ughhhhhh
It’s nights like this I miss Woody the most. The Cubs had nothing past the first. A healthy Woody would have been cruising through this game.
Not shitting on Priester I still believe he’s got the making of the next big piece of this pitching staff.
Cubs threw their whole bullpen while Megill and Uribe didn’t pitch. Like our odds to finish them tomorrow
Deflating, but not worried too much about it. Cubs haven’t been able to string together anything out of the first inning and used all their high leverage relievers tonight.
Let’s finish it tomorrow
I wish Mona would have had a chance to bat. I just feel like he’s got the clutch gene.
Could be worse. A sweep would’ve been great, but the cubs are too good of a team to expect that from. The Dodgers are the only team with even a possibility left to sweep as every other series is going 4-5. I’ll take a close loss on the road in an elimination game with the cubs burning through their bullpen.
Turang gotta make up for his shit at bats tomorrow
They allowed us to stay in the game and we wasted the opportunity. God damnit.
This honestly wasn’t the worst result considering how that 1st inning went. We made them work for it and forced them to use a lot of their best arms. But the hitting’s gotta be better tomorrow and whoever we start needs to go deeper.
At least we don’t have to listen to Ron Darling suck off PCA and the Cubs for 24 hours.
Bros im nervous man im sorry. Just thinking about the past im ill fam
Remember pre-game when people were getting downvoted to oblivion for questioning starting Brandon Lockridge in a playoff game? lol
Honestly, if you can somehow watch a recap of the TBS postgame report;
Pedro Martinez has some really good points.
A *lot* of luck based things went wrong for the Brewers and right for the Cubs today.
This game could have pretty easily gone the other way, despite what it feels like in the immediate aftermath.
Brewers are also in a better pitching situation than the Cubs going into tomorrow based on starting rotation as well as bullpen availability and general workload.
We got this.
