Jacksonville Jaguars Are Legit & Joe Flacco Becomes A Cincinnati Bengal
Dr. Fax, this is your moment. Said it once, I’ll say it again. The AFC South runs through Jacksonville. I know the Colts, they’re having an amazing run, but my Jags, bro, bro, you watch all these games. We’re four and one. And honestly, we can be 0 and five. Like, like to be to be honest with you, we can really be 0 and five. Some of these games I feel like our opponents didn’t take advantage of a lot of mistakes that we made that they probably should have that would have been different outcomes in the game. And last night, Monday Night Football against the Kansas City Chiefs, it was no different, dude. So sobering sobering take from you. No, like it’s just that like that’s why that’s why I’m even more excited and why I want to talk more trash is just knowing that we haven’t even scratched our potential yet, bro. Like, we haven’t scratched our potential. To start the game last night, Trevor Lawrence runs over the line of scrimmage and throws the ball. Like, bro, is if that’s not an indication that it’s like we don’t have everything together, like to start a game like that, I was just like, oh my goodness. I got Nate, I got to say though, and hey, before I get into anything on the game, hand up. I told you I was like, “Hey, I’m betting the Chiefs.” I had him minus three. I had him in a teaser. Thank the Lord. Had uh Mahomes rushing touchdown anytime. had Kelsey first touchdown asterisk, but we’ll take it. Um, Chiefs, even with the couple calls that they got, they they made so many mistakes. I mean, they they uh you know, like Chiefs are the Chiefs are making the the mistakes that you’re kind of pinning on the Jags that are just like little mindless stuff and missed and missed opportunities because the the pass that Trevor Lawrence had to Tim Patrick where he tipped it up in the air and two Kansas City Chiefs guys had had an interception dead to rights and they didn’t get it. And honestly, that was the game was 14- nothing right then. That would have changed that would have changed the trajectory of the game. So, it’s just one of those things that I don’t know like it goes around and I don’t know if the luck bug is in Jacksonville for our team this year with certain situations that are happening. But, I’m enjoying I don’t want to call I don’t want to call the team lucky though because I do think the team looks good. Yeah, I think the team looks good for this team and we talked about it before the season and I, you know, I’m a known uh I don’t want to say Trevor hater, but I’m a known Trevor like, hey, he’s got to prove it to me. I think it’s a pretty reasonable take. Um, I I was wrong about this team, you know. I’ll say that for the third time this season. They really Liam Cohen’s a hell of a coach. And, you know, I I think who did I see? Bucky Brooks tweeted this thing today and I had said it yesterday on the show and that’s why I love Bucky Brooks because he’s a smart football guy. But like 85, he was talking about Devin Lloyd. 85% of the players in this league are system players or guys that are are dependent upon the the context of the team they’re on, the system that they play in. Is it the right fit? Is it the wrong fit? And I think there were a ton of those guys on this roster. And somebody like me failed to see that uh Liam Cohen could turn this thing around so quickly. They kind of they were wearing the reputation of a team that was as bad as any team in football since December of 2023, tied with I believe Tennessee and Carolina for worst record. And I think what gets lost in the shuffle a little bit and Jags fans have pointed this out to me is that they lost a lot of close games last year and now they’re winning them. Um, and I think when you look at the fact now they have a, you know, an offensive line that’s functional. They have a run game that’s a weapon. Um, and obviously Trevor Lawrence, although sometimes he picks his boogers and throws the ball past the line of scrimmage and and does all types of like confounding [ __ ] he had a signature moment last night, dude. Like that was to be able to make that throw on the right sideline, which is probably one of the most improbable throws of the young season. the throw to Deami Brown in the red zone. The the the quintessentially Trevor Lawrence way to score a dramatic game-winning touchdown. But wait, even before the throw, him taking a sack with a minute to go in the game. Him taking a right before that throw. It’s just like, bro, you’re running to the sideline. Flick that ball out of bounds, bro. Like, just don’t take a sack. Like, don’t take a sack right now. And I’m glad you’re doing this, not me. No, I’m just saying it’s just the emotions because you see that throw by him at the end of the game and you’re just like you’re like Trev, like what’s going on? Like you don’t have to only do this when the game is on the line and it’s about to be out of out of reach or or whatever it is. Like we want to see that all the time. And I I said it before is just that the Jaguars right now like their mistakes and and some of their mishaps I feel like they’re just happening at the wrong times for them. Like where it’s just like it’s like this this this is you can overcome this but like don’t do this right now. And I just feel like we have too much of that right now and too many pre- snap penalties. Um Trevor the we’re the we’re good in his cadence. We’re good. We’re good. And freaking getting delay a penalty game. I mean the delay a game penalties is so funny to me. And it’s just like I don’t know what they need to do in that aspect of the game of getting a call in quicker or he doesn’t need to huddle or whatever it is, but they need to work that out before it becomes a problem. Listen, that’s going to be the thing that like this is a playoff football team. They look like a playoff football team. They’re walking like one. They’re playing like one. Um the defense is really, really, really um opportunistic, which can which can make you go a long way in the NFL. There are certain people that think what comes up must come down. There’s turnover luck, that sort of thing. But they made their own luck last night. And the guy that I was talking about, Devin Lloyd, being the quintessential example of a guy that is is going to play better. Not just that is the year that, you know, he’s got to go out and ball out so he can get that big new contract. He looks sweet in that number zero. He does look he looks lighter. He looks like he’s in better shape. He looks quicker. Um, but like th those are the guys that that you need to step up around Trevor Lawrence while him and Liam are getting on the same page throughout the year. Him and the receivers are getting on the same page throughout the year. It, you know, it’s going to be a project with this guy. There was a lot to clean up, but when when he does things like he does at the end of the game last night, you think, “All right, we’ll take it, man.” Like, because the reason you pay a guy like that and the reason you keep a guy around like that is the top end talent. It’s it’s not the it’s not how high the floor is, otherwise he wouldn’t he wouldn’t be the guy they’re hitching their wagon to. It’s about being able to make those throws. Now, can we make every other down look really efficient? and can we play within the structure of the offense and make split-second decisions that in the past he’s selected like the worst of three options in a lot of situations. Let’s let’s make those things go last night was a big step in the right direction. And Travis Hunter, dude, I know that he had the big ball the ball that he came back to in the middle of the field that was great and everything. His first catch getting that catch and making those guys move like miss and and getting up the field for that first down set up a field. No, but to set up a field goal on third down on third and long when they’re when they’re in in um on like the 40 yardd line or 45 yardd line and he catches the ball and makes a couple guys miss. That’s 24-21. That defines the the rest of the game just getting points in that situation. So, there’s a lot the Jags should be excited about. And and I I think the biggest thing is the Kansas City Chiefs, who and we’re about to to turn to discussing them, are in my opinion going to look scary offensively by the end of the year. Oh, yeah. Looked very good last night. They were up 14 nothing on you. I didn’t like the calls. Okay. I’m with everybody. Yeah. Um now, the one thing on the call down at the goal line is Yeah. Yeah, you know, I looked at it on on sideline on all 22 and it was within one yard. The contact happened at one yard. Now, was it an obvious pick? Like that’s kind of the game you got to play. Like I don’t I think there’s too much cloudiness around that rule. It’s almost like they need to take a look at how they can make it a little bit clearer. For me, even even being a fan like other Jags, my issue is if you’re not going to throw the flag, like don’t throw the flag. Don’t throw the flag and then a bunch of guys from the Kansas City Chiefs running to you with one finger up saying the one yard rule. It’s one yard rule. One yard rule and make that change change change your mind. Like I and and I I don’t know and I I say it all the time. It’s really the independent contractor that when you’re watching the game and you hear them say that, hey, this is a wrong call. It just eats me up. And I just feel like it’s hard to watch a game when you hear that. like, hey, like, how are they allowing a call to go on if this guy is telling me that it’s wrong? But yeah, I feel like it’s a bang bang play and Kansas City, they’re a team they I feel like Andy Reid, like they’re going to they’re going to use stuff like that and hopefully they’ll just get it right and we don’t have to deal with it again. Yeah. The thing that um the thing that I think y’all should be most excited about though is that the fact that Kansas City Chiefs who looked really good offensively last night were up 14 to nothing on you and you found a way to get back in that game and and win. That’s not something the Chiefs do a lot which is blow a lead like that and um you know the run game was not an issue for them last night. They ran the ball well. You know Kareem Hunt ran the ball well. They blew, you know, they bit off a couple chunks with um with with Isaiah Pacheco and uh so like being in that situation, you’d think most teams would be dead to right rights. You guys found a way to to climb back in into it. I think that’s when we look at the Chiefs right now, my assessment of that team is the the offense will be and we I’ve been saying this for a couple weeks now, so it’s not like I’m just coaching on the result here. when they get Rice back with the addition of the the young tackle, with the addition of toys like number 24. Yeah. The rookie who they’re going to use. That guy’s a [ __ ] weapon. Okay. Xavier Worthy coming back in the lineup, stretching the field, get forcing teams into more too high, allowing you to run the ball, getting involved in the screen game, opens the whole field up. They will look as good or better than they’ve looked over the past three years. Yeah. Before this is all said and done. the place that I worry about them, the kicking game, he’s becoming an issue for this team, not akin to what happened with with Justin Tucker. Obviously, Justin Tucker had other issues. Yeah. Um but, you know, as far as his performance is concerned, when a kicker goes, he kind of like it just happens like and all of a sudden you’re like, “What the [ __ ] This guy forgot how to kick the ball.” He’s missed a ton of important kicks this year, and none may be more important than the kick that he kicked out of bounds last night. gives the Jaguars the ball at the 40 yardd line with a minute and a half to go. And it’s kicks like that and it’s situations like this where maybe I wasn’t that much of a fan of the new kickoff rule, but the fact that seeing that some kickers really like I feel like the kickoff the way it is now as a professional kicker, I don’t feel like it should be an issue for you that it you’re kicking the ball out of bounds. and the fact that it’s popping up all over the league and it’s it’s now becoming like a real crucial part uh of the game and last night we seen it like that ball being placed on the 40 like probably won us the game honestly. Like it definitely helped. It definitely helped for sure. For sure. Because if you kick it out of the end zone like what it goes to 30 like that 10 yards is big right there. If you kick it if you kick it out of the end zone it goes to 35. If if it hits if it hits in the landing zone and dribbles in the end 20. So, like either of those outcomes, I mean, that’s a big 10 yards, you know, like at at the end of the game, all that stuff counts. And just the I don’t know, man. Week one against the Chargers, he he um chief third quarter, Chiefs scored to make it a 13-12 Chargers uh game. Can’t tie it up because of the PAT. Then they got to go for two later in the in the game. They, you know, they they they failed the attempt. Um it’s a nine-point game. It’s a two- possession game in the fourth. um you know, and the Chargers respond with the touchdown drive. Week two against the Eagles. Uh first quarter, Bucker misses a field goal wide right. Um score 000, Chiefs lose this game by three. Week three, the Giants. You know, Chiefs win that game 22 to9. But second quarter, Bucker misses a field goal wide right. Uh keeping the score 6 nothing Chiefs. Quarter four, uh Bucker misses an extra point. Wide left for a change. This must have been tough for him to miss wide left. And then uh and then week four against the Ravens where where you know he misses another field goal. Week five you you get uh you know the bad kickoff which is a killer. So I I don’t know man. Maybe I’m holding him to too high of a standard. He was one of the best kickers in in the in the league in the over the last couple years. It’s that and the defense man. And listen, I know there’s some guys in the secondary that like Spags is a guy throughout the season that’s going to find his best combination, the whole thing. But those guys are going to be under a lot of stress if they can’t generate a pass rush. Okay? And I know Spags can generate that through bringing pressure, but that’s not going to work every week. It’s not going to work in every situation. And right now, their best player by far on that defense is Chris Jones, as it has been the last couple years, right? Trent McDuffy’s a total stud, too. But like as far as the front’s concerned, they go as far as he goes. They move him around. They line him up over different spots. And I got to say, like the defensive performance is one thing. They can work to fix that. And you know where I’m going, Nate. Coach Nate, 20some seconds to go in the game. First and goal. You know, I don’t know if the directive was to to let him score, but that goes out the window when you when when Trevor Lawrence’s knee hits the ground and people are rallying to tackle him. I I timed it. He’s standing in the middle of the field. I think it took him like 3 seconds to get to to get to the end zone from where he kind of gathered himself and stood up. Chris, you’re going to tell me Chris Jones can’t run that distance and put a hat on him? That’s the hard thing is Chris Jones is the defense, but they have to he has to be, you know, a standard bearer, dude. And in that moment, that that’s I don’t want to be hyperbolic, but that’s one of the worst loafs I’ve seen with the game on the line. And here’s the worst thing. Like Trevor’s first touchdown. He had a terrible loaf, too. Like he’s getting blocked, but like he has a situation where Trevor does a flyby and they if you slow it down, they literally clap hands. Like he just does one of the like I’mma reach my hand out and him and Trevor Lawrence’s off hand. They literally touch. This is in the This is Trevor Lawrence’s first rushing touchdown. I think it’s for about 13 yard scramble or whatever it is. And even then, I was just like, that’s a bad loaf. I was like, that that just looks bad. And I feel like every football player, if you play football long enough, we’ve all loafed. Yeah. Who gets credit for this for this um for this quote, but fatigue makes cowards out of all of us? And it’s just one of those things like I know how it feels to be dog [ __ ] tired, but it’s you have to make a choice. You have to make a choice whether it’s those situation and like we all got on Anthony Anthony Richardson for this but like yo like come out of the game like yeah like you don’t want to be that guy to come out of the game um or or you need to um you need to get in better shape. I I don’t know bro it’s not he’s in plenty good shape that’s what I’m saying it’s not it’s not hey he can’t tap his helmet. The [ __ ] game’s on the line. Yeah you just got to suck it up. You’re the best player, dude. You’re you’re the whole defense, dude. Like, I don’t know if you looked around and noticed, but the other guys, with all due respect, are mostly just good, solid players. Yeah. You’re the all world guy, dude. And so, you know, functionally, you’re the last line of defense in that situation. But symbolically, man, like, you’re the [ __ ] team, dude. You got to be a leader. And uh and I think they had a situation at the beginning of the year where um where one of the linebackers is getting on him in the game and they’re kind of going back and forth at the end. Well, that that to me was a different thing. That was the Chargers play. Yeah. Is it not? And it’s just it’s just one of those things where we’re not the only ones that see it. And if you’re in that defensive room, me as a back, me as a guy that was a career backup, third third string fringe guy, I know if I was playing behind Chris Jones, I would be looking up to him and being like, “This guy’s great, whatever.” But at the same token, if I’m in that Dline room and I want a chance to play, yeah, that’s the best guy in our D line. But as a as a teammate and a player, you’re just like, “Hey, coach, like you guys aren’t going to say anything about this. Like, you’re not going to coach this up. Like I know he’s I’m sure it’s being coached up and that’s why I said fly on the wall is like you don’t have a choice. I’m sure a Dline coach might be like I prefer not to chew Chris Jones out because I don’t want to get like Chris Jones might pull pull the you know I want Jones card on me. No. And and and you know obviously like he’s got so much leverage because he’s their best player and like they literally can’t win without him defensively. They don’t have enough special players. And so my assessment of this group is by the end of the season, the Chiefs, not even that long, just wait a couple weeks. They’re going to be fun to [ __ ] watch offensively. They were fun to watch offensively last night. Oh, I think the defense is going to have to hold up their end of the bargain, which was my concern about this team going into the season. You know, we just saw somebody make a trade for a pass rusher in division there. I don’t know that Kansas City has the capital or the cap space that they want to part ways with to make any big move. So, it’s gonna be us, guys. Like, if I’m Spags, I’m saying, “Hey, lock the [ __ ] doors. It’s going to be us. We’re living and dying with this group in this room.” And Chris, you’re our leader. Dude, I’m so excited about the Joe Flacco thing. You called it, man. Well, I called it and that’s not it’s not some crazy take, right? Yeah. You put two and two together the minute Joe Burrow gets hurt and you look around the league and say, “Where are the shitty teams and where are the guys that are serviceable back there?” Um, as bad as he played in Cleveland this year, what have we learned over and over again? Context matters. Situations matter. Yeah, I know the offensive line might be worse in Cincinnati. I know that Joe Flacco’s taken his life into his hands and this is borderline elderly abuse. But the [ __ ] NFL needs people watching Bengals games. Yeah, fantasy owners need fantasy owners need Jamar Chase to get touches. All right. My son needs Jamar Chase to get his touches. And most importantly, I like watching the Bengals. And when you look at that division where the Ravens are still favored to win it, why the [ __ ] not? This is the first sign of life I have seen from the Cincinnati Bengals since Joe Burrow got hurt. Just try something, guys. Bro, I don’t care if it I don’t care if it doesn’t work. I don’t But I want to watch the games and think that a team that paid their superstars and are playing in a division that is there for the taking at least tried. Hey, Joe Flacco doesn’t he doesn’t he doesn’t give you a little bit of a little bit of hope that you could just you could just you could just drop the green light and just decide to go back for a few more years. Jump out of retirement and hop around be No, bro. I’m not going back and tearing my Achilles. The third play and getting cooked on Twitter like people being like that looked like the stiffest, dustiest rubber band snapping in that guy’s sock. They’d have me in slow motion falling like an 86 year old man. I actually thought about that the other day if I went back to play like what if the first play I threw a long arm into some guy’s chest and he was like you’re old bro. He’s just anchoring on my That’s how it would probably go. You know what I’m saying? No. And that’s and honestly that’s my fear is just like seeing this Bengals offense and seeing what happened just happened to Joe Burrow. It’s just like how can I be positive that by you guys going to get Joe Flacco who’s less mobile than Joe Burrow that he’s going to be he’s dude he’s going to get killed that’s but in the process but that’s what I’m saying like older guys like they get up off the ground it takes them a longer time to get up off the ground and I just wonder how much more of that Joe Flacos has in them. I think his I think his journey is amazing. I think he definitely still has spark and magic and just like you said, if anyone Jamar Chase is going to be happy at least for this week for just the unknown of just thinking about, hey, exactly like I got someone who Give me a chance. Yep. Yep. Give us a chance. You know what else Joe Flacco does? He checks the ball down. Yeah. So great. So, we’re gonna throw we’re gonna get give some check checkdowns to Chase Brown and we’ll see what happens. Dude, I I just want a reason without Joe Flacco on this team. I won’t even have this team on a side TV. Now they’re like on TV two or three, at least this week to see if there’s something going on. Now, who do they play this week? I don’t even know. They play the Packers. [ __ ] catching 14 catching 14 and a half points on the road. Um, yeah, maybe they won’t put him out here out out there this week. No, they have to. I don’t know, man. Maybe they just concede this week and get out. So, so um Oh, you know what? You want to know what a different angle? A different angle that people probably like don’t want to hear. Another reason why I’m happy about this trade. Yeah. One step closer to Shadore. Oh yeah, it is. It is like it is. And I cannot one way or another, we’re gonna find out. We’re gonna find out because all and all that can stop. What what new quarterback comes in? If that new quarterback comes in and they’re just like he’s number two, like everyone’s going to know that something’s up in in in Cleveland, right? At that point, I would think they were just trolling people. Okay, that but that’s what I’m excited about is just the next week with that the depth chart if it moves if they’re be if they even be funny with it because you know that’s the next thing for them now is just like oh he’s out the picture they’re the only team that drafted the guy and they can’t do anything right you hear what I’m saying no yes they can’t do right in anybody’s eyes they’re the only team that drafted him and the audacity of these two teams making a trade the two worst teams deciding to make a trade right now with with two of the like Cleveland’s like Cleveland like misery Cleveland picks up the phone they’re like misery loves company right since he’s like we’re not like you and you know what’s crazy too how long is that drive they sent they sent the Uber for Joe Flacko bro how long is that drive that’s not very long that’s crazy bro hey hey hey I’m I’m not going to lie I I I’ve been saying it the this whole year over and over is the best reality TV and just all the different angles and and and subplots. And I loved this for Joe Flacco. And honestly, at the very least, we got to get at least one 50 yard plus ball to Jamar Chase to to to at least keep everyone excited in the NFL. This is the third indivision trade involving a quarterback this century. Eagles trading Donovan McNab to Washington and the Patriots trading Drew Bledsoe to the Bills. And also, if you want to talk about Joe Flacco’s longevity, Bengals Ring of Honor member Willie Anderson, drafted by Cincinnati in 1996, blocked for Joe Flacco. Willie Anderson, legend. Hey, is this Joe Flacco’s ninth team? Did I see that? Nine. You know what number nine is? It’s the number of completion. Huh? You didn’t know that the number of what? In numerology and some spiritual traditions, nine is considered the number of completion because the final singledigit number in the decimal uh system marking the end of a cycle before a new one can begin. It symbolizes endings, a sense of finality and the culmination of efforts but also carries the potential for a fresh start or a new beginning. Wait, so are you saying that as a good thing or a bad thing? Like it’s about could be either dude. This is the end, dude. This is the end. Joe, if you count his college teams, this is Joe Flacco’s ninth team. Pittsburgh, Delaware, and then the Ravens, Broncos, Jets, Eagles, Browns, Colts, and now the Bengals. Yeah, I counted two uh because I had Raven Okay. I had Ravens, Broncos, Jets, Eagles, Jets. I counted the Jets twice and the Browns twice. And the Browns twice. Yeah. So, never mind. But hey, count count as college teams. That’s nine right there. Nine teams for Joe Flacco. Number of completion. Um, that’s just some [ __ ] I heard somewhere. Uh, you know, here’s the other thing I love about this year, and this is why I think teams are going to make a lot of trades. Adam Shhater said, “Hey, we’re going to have a [ __ ] ton of trades.” That’s what he said today. Anybody can win this thing. feels like I think this is the week and it’s no it’s no um coincidence that the two undefeated teams lost but it feels like everybody’s like hey my team could win this thing. I keep getting asked questions like I was on Rich Eisen today and Rich loves the so Chris are the are the bang you know are are the Jaguars contenders that kind of thing and um I’m like you know my usual litmus test for my my the bar to clear to to become a contender is a lot more north of like what I’m looking at with a couple teams but you might as well make them contenders because it it seems to me Like usually there’s like an elite class of teams that’s only a couple teams and then there’s like the class just below them like the 1Bs. It feels like there’s a bunch of 1Bs this year. A bunch of 1Bs and teams that I usually couldn’t see making a run could make a real run. Um so one of those teams, the Chargers, um made a move today as well. they they go get OA from the the Ravens who obviously they they weren’t going to pay him and um he’s been productive. He can rush the passer and he’s been one one of the relative bright spots on that defense this year. It is a little bit declarative of where they are. Um in Baltimore, you have no pass rush. You send off one of your very few pass rushers. What you do get back is Alo Alohi Gilman. Um, which probably means they’re just going to reshuffle their secondary. Um, and they, you know, for the Chargers, they feel like, hey, our our safety depth is better than our edge depth. You know, that’s one way to think about it because they have dipped into their edge depth bag and they don’t like what they have to, you know, what they see. They need some pass rush. They have young players that they can push along in the secondary and rush and coverage works together. Uh but as you can see without the rush the coverage doesn’t look as good. Um so for me the move makes a lot of sense. It also doesn’t put so much pressure on Tulie um to be primarily an edge rusher. You can move him inside, you can move him around. Um I I think you add him to a group like this guy Tart is a [ __ ] player. I can’t remember if I shouted him out uh but he was one of the lone bright spots the other day. They have some pieces up front. They just need their edge rushers. And when they get Mac back, whenever that is, now you’re cooking a little bit, make that late in the year push. But for the Ravens, you know, it probably means moving Kyle Hamilton inside. And so it’s kind of the inverse of what happened last year where last year they wanted Kyle Hamilton to play more safety, but this is what they hope is the one big move that changes everything defensively or just realistically they they know where they’re going and they’re selling pieces. Selling pieces. And then they also they also picked up um CJ Gardner, put him on the practice squad. So might not see for maybe maybe a week or so if they like what they see. But that’s going to be interesting to see if he can he’s a guy that like I feel like the old Ravens defense they they how they used to be and their attitude. He’s maybe a guy that can fit in per perfect there. Maybe help change the culture back to what it was that gritty scared scared of Baltimore defense. But right now, it’s just even with all these moves, they they got to put a product out on the field. They got to put something on tape where you you can you can respect it, dude. Uh you know what’s going to be so funny is CJ Garner Johnson and Gyra Alexander uh interacting because GR Alexander is one of the funniest people in the NFL. I I don’t know if we talked about this yesterday, but him grabbing the ball from from um you know the Texans rookie null after he caught that touchdown and did the Ray Lewis dance and Gyra Alexander notably from Charlotte uh was offended by it and he’s been there like a month, but he’s like all about the Ravens way of life and what to get that football and and after the game his sound bite was hilarious. So, I would love to see what that that relationship turns into. CJ Garner Johnson and Gyra Alexander. Two of the funniest people in the NFL in my opinion. Yeah, it’s going to be great. CJ, I’m glad glad CJ got back on the team. Hopefully hopefully he’ll stick here for a little bit. All right, so other pieces of news around the NFL. Just a little grabag of [ __ ] Um Jerry Jones, he was he was fined. You want to take a guess at how much he was fined for flipping People the Bird? $7,000. Or they hit him. They hit him a little higher. Oh, 15K. Little higher. 27K. It’s a weird number to come up with. Probably higher. 35K. You’re going to keep going. They hit them for 50k. Oh, they hit him for more than that. A 100 bands go up. A half a million dollars go down. A quarter mill. That’s right. They hit him for 250K. Yeah, but that’s nothing to Jerry Jones, man. No, [ __ ] that. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. He got a hell of a deal because this is the same number that Bud Adams was fined for for a very similar interaction in uh 2009. [ __ ] inflation. Exactly. So, it’s just kind of detrimental like like is you can give the finger but if he cusss the fans out like would that be the same fine? That’s that’s my thing, dude. Because isn’t the middle finger just a sign language for [ __ ] you like or no? Yo, I’m with you, bro. I I the middle finger to me should be like with how crude our society is today. Yeah. Like why are we worried about the middle finger? I don’t know. And I mean you why is that like a why is that sacred cow? How much how much how much are the the the the fake brandish of firearm fines? Like I mean that I do you think like if I’m like pew pew pew I’m fake shooting you I’m fake [ __ ] you like what’s worse I’d rather be [ __ ] than shot you know. Yeah it makes no sense. It’s just funny bro. Like I just feel like the what if Jerry Jones pulled out the invisible strap? Yeah. Well, the one thing that’s good about the fines, the one thing that’s good about the fines that people might not know is that all the fine money supposedly goes to charity somewhere. So, someone’s charity is about to get a huge check because Jerry Jones gave a fan the finger. Dude, the the middle finger is just way way over. Well, he tried to he tried to say he was doing a thumbs up to his fans. I guess that’s the funniest thing that that tongue and cheek justification. It’s hilarious. That’s like a I think this quarter million uh dollars is a total [ __ ] joke. You know what’s funny? You know what’s funny about the middle finger? I always thought about this. So if I was playing like what if what if just aggressively like after plays I just throw up I just throw up a different finger. But you just do it aggressively enough. You know, they’re still gonna find you. They’re still gonna find you. Like, but it’s just like, what are you gonna say if I just go like this to you or go like, “Huh?” I don’t know. You’re not gonna say anything, dude. You have to say anything. And I wonder if people like, “No, he meant to give you the fingers.” So, it doesn’t matter. Or if you’re a person, that used to happen. You’ve probably done this before. You ever had to buddy tape your fingers to? Yeah, I had to buddy tape my fingers. So if you go like count if you do this exactly I just wonder it’s just the middle finger just being offended by it if you really think about it is just it’s just funny together it’s just hilarious middle finger is just total yeah it’s like so 1996 bro who cares about the middle finger because who we have graduated we have so far what if the middle finger was the thumbs up what if thumbs up was offensive like what if that was the offensive thing S&s were pots and pans. What’ you tell me? The world would be a kitchen. Yeah. So, all right. Uh, and then the last thing is this very interesting tweet I saw today. Rex Ryan has been speculated to be a possibility if Steven Ross fires Mike McDaniel. Ross is expected to pursue someone in the mold of a Dan Campbell, a disciplinarian with previous head coaching experience. Huh. I I could have swore. Maybe they should call the defensive coordinator of the Minnesota Vikings. See what he’s up to. This [ __ ] franchise is unbelievable. It’s unbelievable. You didn’t like the guy cuz he was too mean to the guys that you’re being mean to now. You you you see like you see what I’m saying? He was too mean to the players that I hate now and now I’m being mean to them online. I just Hey, time capsule some of the [ __ ] takes from from a couple years ago. This is this is hilarious. This is like um this is like an onion article. Honestly, I was like, “Wait, do you mean like Brian Flores?” It’s also hilarious because owners tend to go in the complete opposite direction when they make a change of head coach. Like if they were offense before, they go defense. If they went with a younger guy, they’ll go old the next time around. I don’t know if I can think of more of an antithesis for Mike. Yeah, basically they just call Mike McDaniel. And wait, and let me ask basically call Mike McDaniel a [ __ ] And then let me ask let me ask this. Is is Rex Ryan like like known for like being like a disciplinarian? Yeah, dude. I think so. Is he? Yeah. Well, he’s known for being a [ __ ] hard ass. Yeah. Like an old school coach. emblematic of your I mean the only thing I have cussing ass kicking [ __ ] toe sucking demon dude but he’ll give you a reward. He’ll give you that snack reward when you want. Yep. Snack eating demon. Let’s go get a snack. I was just about to say the only sample size I have from him is is Hard Knocks that season. You know who could use some um quarterback of the future in my opinion? The Miami Dolphins. And you know who they they should go get Sanders and with with Rex Bryant. How great would that be? The NFL, the storylines, the just never ending. How great would that be? Yeah. Yeah. You know, some uh some other trades uh are probably coming up. We’re going to talk about maybe some of those on Thursday. But um the Jags, this is a the Jags might have to start looking. Man, we we didn’t even say that before. Brendan Strange getting hurt is big deal for us. That’s a big deal. It’s a big deal. He He’s one of Trevor’s like security blankets and he’s just really good. We’re going to need him in the up the seams and hopefully the IR like he’ll get healthy and he’ll be a guy hit the hit the ground running when he gets back. Bro, how fort how fortunate was it for Trevor Lawrence that he didn’t put whatever he was digging for in his mouth last night? No, I think I think it would have been greater, bro. I think it would have been greater the way that game end like the way the game ended. Like if he had lost, if he would have lost, it would have been absolutely like it would have been nuts. But the fact that they caught him on camera picking his nose before they won that game the way he won that game, like I literally was yelling on on the live stream I did. He scored that touchdown with boogers on his hand, bro. Like it was immediately after. And it’s just the fact that your your your franchise quarterback is sitting on the bench picking his nose before the biggest drive of the game was was just comical to me. But it’s one of those things with the internet nowadays. If we would have lost that game, it would have just been it have been one of those things that that that’ll make you not want to go on social media for a few minutes. Somebody touches Trevor Lawrence down and the game ends a play later because of time or something like that. They’re skewering the guy and sh and putting up booger memes, dude. Everything and it just that sports. That’s what’s so [ __ ] hard about this occupation. Mhm. Is like you asking us to tell you who’s going to win a game? I don’t know. Is Trevor Lawrence going to get back up when he falls on his face in the red zone with 25 seconds to go? Is Chris Jones going to loaf? Are the refs going to miss? Are the refs going to blow the Are the refs? Yeah, there’s no way. [ __ ] dude. You got to I mean, you you got a better chance of winning the lottery than than gambling on football sometimes. And I think uh I think that’s why some people are uh are kind of pissed at the refs right now, man. Exactly. I just can’t imagine. I I just think about it in a business aspect and if you’re if you run a casino or you’re a bookie with a book or whatever it is, it’s just how do you explain this? How do you um what is it? Damage control this because it’s just one of those things where like I said, I think it’s more hearing on the while you’re watching the game them telling you that they got it wrong. So you’re if you’re a person that is a casual better, you’re just like, “Hey, like that if that affected my bet, it’s like give me my money back.” I understand there. And and listen, there’s a ton of calls that get missed every game that people don’t see either. And and that’s the whole thing. But the NFL could probably be a little bit better officiating these games. um because the uh the the the camera angles, the the sharability of the moment, the discussion online, the real- time analysis has outpaced an official’s ability to make the right call. And you know, if there’s any time for um robots taking over, but what are the people in New York doing? Like they they’re so quick to get other calls in. It’s just like a call like that. Like I don’t understand why it’s not like, “Hey, hey, that was a PI. That was a PI. That was a PI.” I I just I I don’t get it. And I just don’t understand it because I feel like they have all these these these steps and regulations and different procedures for this stuff to get it right. By time this Thursday night game starts, unless there’s a bad call, we’ll forget about these other calls. Do you know anybody, now this isn’t justified, but do you know anybody that stopped watching the NFL that watched it a lot? Have you ever met anybody that was like, “Yeah, you know what? I stopped watching. They missed a false start last week. Cost my team.” No. I’ve met I but I’ve encountered a million people who who have threatened to do that, but they never follow through. Now, I’ve never met anybody that was like, “Yeah, I’m done. You know that that kick landed in the landing zone the other night. So, I’m going to stop watching. Take care.

Are the Jaguars the best team in the AFC South?
Bro robots calling games would be so fucking stale. Also some calls are subjective . We don't want to go down that road
0-5? More like 5-0 DUUUUVALLL
Trevor makes some horrible mistakes that will catch up to him.
“This must have been tough for him to miss wide left” LMAO 😭😭😭😭😭😭
what do we think the fine is for a thumbs down ?
The FAXonville Jaguars
Like you Chris, I need a reason to watch the Bengals. Had seats in a box on the 20 yard line in Lambeau this week and cancelled the trip as soon as Burrow went down. Trading one Joe for another. Maybe I will start with half a game this week. Next Thursday against the Stillers, I am all in. Keep the shows coming!
It's almost like Butker has been dealing with some home-life issues ever since he decided to share his insane world views 😂😂
Maybe his wife wasn't as cool with the trad-wife label as he assumed when he vomited his antiquated views all over that crowd of college kids 😂😂
Why all these people say when KC gets this player back they will be better! They got players back and still losing! Why is it not easyto see that the NFL is caught up with them . They are a regular team that everyone wants to keep hyping up! Cmon man 😮
DUVALLLLLLLLL TALK YALL SHIT…. Go Bills
Please keep doing this show, this shit is gold.
Trevor has everything you want he was just never coached properly remember he was the last class to MISS OUT ON NIL and having those resources Matter to a young player so watch out he's gonna bloom late but BLOOM HE WILL Being SO MUCH MEAT ON THAT BONE DUDE BELIEVE IN HIM
IDC the refs threw flags n still only threw bout 25% of them the game has become to a few teams foul and bet the refs dnt wanna flag every play and u get more than u lose your the Chiefs or Eagles uuuug it's plain to see n I'm a fan of both and neither I have no ties to either team nor do I hate either so 😂
Because of the landing zone, a lot of kickers are accidentally kicking them out
Boy I LOL'd when Chris called Rex Ryan a "toe sucking demon".
Bucky Brooks says 85%, I've always thought it was more like 95%. The other 5% are game breakers that could play anywhere.
Flacco (*cough and Browns D cough*) beat the Packers already once this year
Actually laughed out loud, "Well I'm fake fucking youuu."
I stopped watching NBA about a decade ago because of the refs but not football. I don’t think I could ever give up football.
