5. He is blowing by his defender with ease. Let’s see if that’s gonna hold up when he has to play better guys.

   I think his passing timing is off. His passes to bigs were a little bit too early. That drop pass after a pick is too early, he needed to wait for the defense to commit to his drive before he drop the pocket pass.

   Granted he got assists but his guys were not receiving the ball in rhythm. They had to adjust to his passes. That won’t work in the season.

   He’s not yet ready to be a starting pg. I wonder who will play that by the start of the season. If he’s the starting pg, our offense will suffer because he’s not yet a serviceable pick and roll gu

11. oftentimes, it’ll look like the game is moving too fast for a rookie and they have to wait a few seasons for the “game to slow down”. it would appear kasparas jakucionis has figured out that you can bypass this rite of passage by just making everyone else play the same game as him

    i think if there’s any hitch in his first year, it’ll be that he *loves* fakes and a lot of his game works because defenders are biting. jimmy was special in that he was faking his high% areas and *could* score out of them, but a lot of KJ’s fakes seem to be in tough shot situations (hopstep to the FT line with a big in his way, deep in transition run, etc) and defenders will wake up to that

12. I have been saying since summer league this kid is going to play day one. For one he is 6’6 and unexpectedly he’s a good defender. And three he can make plays for others.
