the new general manager of the LA Kings, Kenny Holland, to go out there at some point this season to help Kitar and his team win, at least try to win a Stanley Cup. Underway in Vegas, opening night for the Golden Knights Kings. I think if he gets the mindset of shooting the puck more, he will probably get more opportunities because teams will respect that and things will open up. Here is Keno on Q. He scores. He pulls it in and then he fires it right over the left leg. Swept around by Edmonson. Chased by Side, deflected out by the goal scorer to his play. And now moving in is Bfield. He scores. Two nothing Kings and he just is able to get up here on the defender Loz on and in the turnover and then this is just a great move forehand backhand shelf in a tight that that doesn’t do any any justice though cuz it’s in slow-mo but some quick hands by Quinton Bifffield. Watch this play by Kusenkco. He gets the puck out of the zone. That is the key. And then the pressure you talked about B defense leads to offense and Biffield with the goes on back on it for the Golden Knights. Now Doria goes on the former Bruin and Predator. [Music] up top with a great play and it was Drew Dowy that ends up drifting just enough. He left the front of the net and then Stone realizes and he throws it across. And then just an incredible play, an unselfish play by Jack Eel who had a chance to shoot that puck and he decided to pass it back to Barbashell. Unbelievable. I mean, confidence off of this penalty kill here. Remember, the Kings played last night. Now short-handed, Trevor Moore moves to the net and scores. short-handed goal pulling LA to within one. You’re on the power play are deadly and everybody’s going one way. You got the penalty killer stopped. Trevor Moore with pressure coming from Carlson just makes a beautiful play. So the excellent plays earlier on the penalty kill lead to a shortand a breakaway and he just roofs it right over the shoulder of Hill. 5-4 lead for the Golden Knights in their season opener. Vegas has won six straight season opening games. Here’s Clark. Here’s Mano and now Biffield. Highfield cutting wide. Plugs the net. Score. The Kings tie it on the beautiful setup and the finish by Clark. Up to the blue line here. Now all of a sudden there’s only one D back. White club gets beat wide and then Clark wins the battle with Riley Smith going right to the blue paint and it is 55 here in Vegas after the penalty kill. A little bit of a line juggle for Jim Hiller’s group by field lefer and Kusmano. Season opener here in Vegas. The Golden Knights and the Kings headed for overtime up against Highfield. Dial up front for the Kings. Andrew Dowy. Golden. The Knights control. Oh, what a play by Dowy. And now Biffield looking to gain a step. Moving in. And the save by Hill. Dowy knocked that puck out of midair to create the chance for Biffield. Dowy 5 seconds. Here’s Deno with a shot blocker save. Hill shootout upcoming moving in on Hill. Kee shoots. He scores. Good patience here by Kempe. coming down the off wing as a goalie. You got to you got to be careful against a low blocker shot. He’ll seem to drift. The Kings two for two. Here’s Dorafia. He has a hat-tick tonight. Dorafia scores. [Music] Right here. Whoa. Almost stick handled that puck right in the corner. First game is a goal of the night. has a couple of points. Roll it in on Forsber. He digs and a stop. The Kings win in a shootout six to five. [Music]

Pavel Dorofeyev compiled a hat trick and Jack Eichel tallied four points, but the Vegas Golden Knights couldn’t overcome the Los Angeles Kings, falling 6-5 in a shootout. Quinton Byfield and Andrei Kuzmenko each posted two points in the win.
