‘The expectation is to make the playoffs’: How the Ducks are building a new Western power

Good article to read on Opening Night. Not a lot of new information to fans like us who follow the team closely but nice to hear it all again and hear why the veterans have been added, what type of player the Ducks target in the draft and why Quenneville is behind our bench.
Tonight’s the first time I’ve been excited for Opening Night because I expect the team to be good and competitive all season. Can’t wait for the puck to drop. Let’s go Ducks!
Whoa! Someone at ESPN actually wrote a pretty good article instead of an AI slop of an aggregated, rehashed and regurgitation of Twitter + Reddit
Haha Kreider’s memories of that era of California teams. Those were the days! Every team left with bruises and sometimes injuries missing games after. We were so big and heavy. I remember feeling anxious the glass panels were going to fall on top of us with some of those hits. Some of those panels did fall and the constant adjustments the ice staff had to do with the supports lol
I think it’s going to be close. Maybe fighting for a wildcard spot. I think the season after we make it for sure.
I haven’t been so nervous about a game for long time and I know I will be overreacting about the game results no matter what happens. ‘Playoff or bust’ I think that’s the mentality for a lot of fans this season.
