Did Brian Daboll Just Throw Shade at Eagles’ Drama ahead of Giants’ TNF Showdown? | Rich Eisen Show

big game uh in New Jersey Thursday night. We talked about it with Fitz and Whiten hour number two because they were on their way on a bus to Philadelphia to join uh hook up with the Eagles before going to New Jersey and being part of the week six kickoff between the Eagles and the Giants. The Eagles, stop me if you’ve heard this before, early season uh conversations about their efficiency, about their locker room, about their chemistry despite having a winning record. Last year they were two-2. Uh and then they won their next game and then went up the turnpike with Saquon and just pounded the Giants and it all went north from there and Squan had his revenge and then his uh 2,000yard season ensued and the championship etc etc. Now they’re 4 in one and it’s the same conversation. Is AJ Brown going to get the ball? What’s going on in that locker room? And at the top of the ESPN news stack when we came on the air, it was the meeting. It’s about the meeting that Seaquan and Herz had with AJ Brown. I I have no idea if it was just the three of them chit chatting somewhere in the locker room, all three of them sitting together or if they were around a water cooler or they’re, you know, in a calf or whatever it was. But it’s been reported there’s a meeting and Seaquan called it a good thing. It took place Monday. Called it a good thing and that it was not a traditional players only meeting where quote all hell’s breaking loose. I guess you’re not listening to radio there. I guess um I felt that conversation was meant to stay between us, he said, but the focus was all about the team and I think it was a good thing. I would definitely say it wasn’t like a players meeting where all hell’s breaking loose. Okay. You think Seaquin told the guys, “I’ll be there for you.” Oh my god. Jaylen Herz spoke uh in his Wednesday media availability in his usual way of not giving away too much and definitely not quoting any John Bon Joy songs. I mean, listen to the sound. Tell me if you hear it. That’s just us talking about the collective, talking about taking ownership for what we can and talking about how we move forward as a team so we continue to find ways to win games. What was your takeaway conclusion of the meet? Um, I don’t want to make this about that. Right. We we got a short week. We got a um, you know, uh, the division opponent coming in here. Um, I enjoyed every second of it and I’m enjoying every second of every opportunity we have to improve. And so, um, that’s what I’ve always made it about. That’s what I’ll continue to make it about. It’s just it’s truly about the collective and and what we do and the opportunities we have in front of us. And so, everybody in this building just wants to take advantage of that. Jaylen gives you nothing, man. I love the way he speaks, too, because you can really tell that he’s living on a prayer every single day. Listen, he is perfect for Philadelphia as long as he wins. I I guess you I guess I guess you could say that about any quarterback. No, I understand that because he gives you nothing. No. Yeah. Uh, and he talks about he talks in platitudes and about the team and if you start losing fans want concrete answers, you know, like like Tom Cruz having Nicholson on the stand, you know, and and and he’ll, you know, he will always take the air out of it and put the velvet ropes around their team, even if the iceberg is a massive one underneath the surface. You want answers. I want the truth. Well, the the honest truth is they’re four in one, man. Yeah. But if there is still an inkling of a rift, a little crack in the ice last week, as you know, Denver wanted to just make it a much larger crack in the ice. And having Patrick Certan II travel with AJ Brown kind of helped with that. One would think if they’re now even more frustrated that they lost getting bagled in the fourth quarter while the Broncos scored 18 to win it. And if you’re say the head coach of a team that’s let me just give you some examples. 1 and4 uh with a rookie quarterback making his first ever short week nationally televised start. Um and you just lost a game where the team that beat you came up with its first win of the season and part of the reason why you lost was because you turn the ball over, let’s just say five straight possessions. If you’re a coach of that team and you’re able to potentially pull the pin on something and lob it down a turn pike in the most passive aggressive way possible. That’s good. Maybe you do that. Just listen to this Brian Dable soundbite. Now, I don’t know if he’s playing four-dimensional chess, but I’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt cuz just listen to the way he’s describing the Eagles offense as they’re getting set to come into their building on Thursday night. Yeah. You watch all the games um and you watch him when he’s out there get open big, strong, fast, has good hands, can run any route you want them to run. Sure, they can throw the ball as many times they want. That means Saquon doesn’t get it or give it to Saquon and AJ doesn’t get there’s one ball. They’re all really good players. Smitty I mean I’ve been around Smitty I think he’s an exceptional receiver too. So I think what I’m sure whatever they want to do or think they need to do that’s what they’ll do. You have to watch the tape. AJ’s open a lot. So but you have to Squan he’s got productive yards. You run his own read or throw it to Schmidy. There’s another thing there. There’s a lot of weapons I would say. um on that offense and whatever they choose to do is is what they do [Music] [Applause] is a chef’s kiss if that is what I really think it is. Hey man, you’re look you look at the tape. I mean he’s wide open. I mean big strong why wouldn’t they throw it to me? He’s so wide open. Yeah. I mean, I don’t Oh, you’re telling me they’re they’re having issues on offense? Cuz I’m seeing a guy who’s wide open. He Wait a minute. He sent out a proverb about basically staying patient if you don’t get your way or you’re not being listened to. That guy really cuz I’m Look, I see a guy. He’s wide open. Oh, by the way, and they got another guy. That’s many. Oh, and they got Saquon. Oh, he only had six carries last week. Get out of here. You don’t say. Tony Tony didn’t sound like that. Oh boy. I believe him, man. Chef’s kiss. Yeah, boy. You know why? No choice. Why? Because Stop it. I don’t even care what you have to say. Never lie to me. Okay, now he’s looking it up and it’s enough. Uh, and by the way, um, the Giants named three players out for the game. One of them not named Tyrone Tracy Jr., he is back. So, I mean, talk about fantasy conundrums for this week. Do you play him? What about Scataboo? What does that mean? You got Terry McLaren, by the way, on a Monday night. Who knows if he’s going to go? A lot of NFC East uh uh fantasy conundrums, but you know, I mean, again, if I’m the Eagles, what an embarrassment of riches. You got one guy who wants the ball more, who’s wide open. You got another guy who can run down your throat who got just six carries last week. And you got another guy, Smitty. I’ve been around Smitty, by the way. You know, he calls him Smitty because he was standing on the sideline when Tua found Smitty for a national championship victory. Again, Smitty won a high. And again, I mean, Jaylen Herz, he’s he’s so good. I don’t even know why he was benched. Only person he didn’t mention was Brian Dave as passive aggressive as they come. That’s impressive. Hey, you made it all the way to the end. Thanks for that. Check us out every single day streaming live on Disney Plus and the ESPN app 12 to 3 Eastern.

  1. Not really sure what Daboll said is controversial. The Eagles do have weapons, so not sure where the shade is here. And this is coming from a Giants fan who is done with Daboll.

  2. Funny that he is talking shiet when the RB ran for over 2k yards the season after he left and the QB is a super star 5 games after you booted him from NYG. I guess you are a Defense orientated coach then hah? How is that D doing by the way? 😂

  3. Why would you give this team any extra motivation to go B. T. A? This is just stupid, and will be the crowing jewel of Daboll's firing this season after Brown goes off for 215 yards 3 TDs, and after the game says "I was open all game." . That will be the true chefs kiss.

  4. I have a lot of respect for Hurts. I really don’t like him being an Eagle though. I’m a Commanders fan. That guy is not like your typical quarterback, and he gets it done more than not. I am grateful for JD5, but if we didn’t have him I would be happy if Hurts was our QB. CCC, both of them.

  5. Eagles problems are like not getting enough butter with your lobster…Giants problems are…"can I just get a plain hamburger?"…we can't afford the cheese and what not. No, even better…Giants are so fucked we serve a turkey burger with onions and katsup 3 weeks per month…well done. instead of a perfectly cooked ribeye blend medium rare with melty cheddar, crispy bacon, and a damn good tangy sauce. tbh I'd take a well done burger with american cheese, pickles, onions, and lettuce…cooked any fucking way as long as it tastes good 8-10. If the Giants win, we all win, and our 5 dollar burger is delicious.

  6. Giants fan here. I hate Philly. I hate Philly so much I root for Ivan Drago. With his record and history of success in this rivalry, Dabol needs to shut his mouth.

  7. can the media stop the drama in philadelphia?! Don't think so… I firmly believe most of the "drama" is fabricated to put a cloud on a really good team, but not sure why?! it's very bizarre… the Eagles have been winning more than 70% of their games since the Sirriani – Hurts era, with playoff appearances every single year, 2 super bowl appearances, and 1 super bowl trophy. The level of disdain from the media for the Eagles is obvious and outdated. Get a new playbook.

  8. Giant fan spills there coffee daboll fault giant fan stubs there toe daboll fault WR doesn’t finish his route turnover daboll fault its ben fake pat Riley hair due fault pat shumur it’s his fault wait it’s Joe judge fault get we’re this is going I’m not going to talk bad about some one sick but the giants might need what happened in Washington to happen in NY for this to really turn around I did money line the giants tonight I have a feeling !!
