BREAKING: Astros make MAJOR shakeups today #Astros #HoustonAstros #MLB
Head athletic trainer Jeremiah Randall. He’s gone. Kyle Tucker last year. It’s a deep bone bruise. No, it’s a fracture per Tucker. This year, a muscle strain for Yordon Alvarez was actually a fracture. And all sorts of guys who were maybe rushed back too soon. How many times with Jake Meyers? Alex Cronone will not return as Astros hitting coach. The Astros are also not retaining hitting coach Troy Snicker. And that’s not surprising either. The mandate for this season was for seeing more pitches, being more patient. The Astros finished this past season with the seventh lowest OPS in all of baseball with fewer runs than all but eight teams, three runs or less in half of their games. Only the Rockies chased more pitches outside of the strike zone than the Astros. only the A’s and Pirates averaged fewer pitches per plate appearance. I think Joe Bada held things together as best he could. I think you could argue that perhaps the message has grown stale with him, but I don’t think this year was his fault with Dana Brown. I think Brown actually did a really good job this year. I mean, look how Kyle Tucker looked for the Cubs in the playoffs. You got Cam Smith, who was at least very good early on this past season. Perez was great when he was healthy. I know he’s a little bit annoying in press conference situations and in interview situations where he’s always a bit of a politician, but those guys deserve to stick around. And every single parting of ways that the Astros have announced today makes sense to
I agree with all the moves the #Astros made [and didn’t make] today…

good lookin' out Paulie 🤘🏻😤
Hit tha rooaaddd!!
The best pitch a player sees in an at bat is the first pitch yet no one swings at the best pitch they will get in an at bat. They let the first pitch go right down the middle for a strike yet they will strike out on a pitch in the dirt.
It's probably a good thing to shake things up.
yeah really started getting tired of seeing batters swing at first pitch (Altuve,Dubon,Diaz, etc….) Need to work counts more get opposing pitchers pitch count up.
