Steelers Top Plays in 24-21 Win over Vikings | Week 4 | NFL Dublin Game | Pittsburgh Steelers

had my pick, you gave me the
first round draft pick. I might
pick Kevin O’Connell as my head coach if I could start fresh.
Mason again as Darrisaw in
front, has a first down and the ball is out and play. Here
comes Ramsey. Jalen Ramsey down
the sideline. He’ll go all the way. Is he inbounds. He is.
It’s a Steelers touchdown. Wow.
It’s exactly what we’re talking about Joe. This is the entire
scheme of this Pittsburgh
Steelers defense. Hang in there gritty. He does his own Justin
Jefferson. This is what they do.
This is what they have to do. Jalen Ramsey returns this 160
yards for a touchdown. And the
Steelers are on the board first. Continuing what they did
against New England last week
when they got outgained by 160 can see Justin Jefferson has
caught a lot of his balls here
early as an inside receiver and Jordan Addison as an outside
receiver. They can use him in
motion. Appeared together down here to the bottom. Wentz is
drilled by a blitzing Queen
Patrick Queen off to a good start in his second year in
Pittsburgh. Here come the
Steelers on third down Queen firing through there to force a
field goal attempt. Yeah you
see Queen here at the bottom. They just leave him completely
unblocked. Brian O’Neill the
right tackle. But take a look basic things that they teach
defenders. Since they’re
playing middle school football, those fundamentals never change
out of the gun. On third and
short, Rodgers looks to throw for it. Up top. He goes for DK
Metcalf, beating Jeff Okudah
for a first down and a gain of 17. Well here you go. And this
is kind of what we’re talking
about. Press coverage. He’s come away and say okay but we
don’t have Aaron Rodgers one of
the best red zone passers in football for a long time. To
the ground here. Gainwell is in
for the Pittsburgh touchdown. Steelers I’ll tell you what a
lot of the questions coming in
here in week four around this coach Carson Wentz and Sam
Darnold and the quarterback. He
can coach the entire roster. And that’s easier said than
done. Toss. Mason hit in the
backfield. Lost a few yards Peyton Wilson, who is the
Butkus Award winner as the top
college linebacker two years ago. He had a good rookie year
last year. He’s lost some time
recently to Cole Holcomb, but converted one third and long
this entire season out of 14
tries. The Steelers defense, usually really good on third
down, has struggled this year.
Wentz to throw. He’s pressured from behind and he’s sacked. It
is Herbig getting to him. Two
starts for Nick Herbig and two that was the New York Jets. But
he comes here in his 21st
season, first one with the Steelers and coming off a six
for six drive. He’ll throw to
begin this drive. And it’s DK Metcalf. He’s in the loose.
There goes DK a block from
Austin inside the five into the end zone 80 yard touchdown
Rogers to Metcalf. Touchdown
Steelers. 84 six yeah just a end zone 80 yard touchdown
Rogers to Metcalf. Touchdown
Steelers. 84 six yeah just a simple inside post. Just comes
right behind pace there. The
linebacker number zero. And just with the ability of Rogers
to play with anticipation. When
you put the ball on DK Metcalf chest and allow him to turn
into a runner after the catch,
you can see the speed, the size, get him in open space. That’s
who he is. DK Metcalf had 135
yards in the first three games. running back set up here. On
second and seven. He runs right
into a blitz. Gets around Ramsey but tripped up right
away by Juan Thornhill, one of
the many new players in the Thornhill just made that last
play. So a lot of new faces.
Only three to snap it here on third and long a four man rush.
Wentz has it hit at the line
and intercepted. Deshon Elliott in his first game. Back has the
interception. The Steelers get
their hands on more passes than anybody in the NFL at the line
of scrimmage Derrick Harmon the
rookie was the one to get his paw on that. And there he goes.
Another one of those splash
plays. And you think, can it rookie was the one to get his
paw on that. And there he goes.
Another one of those splash plays. And you think, can it
last forever? Can they continue
to make all these plays? All down to 35. Vikings trying to
find the end zone before the
break. Wentz shovels it sidearm to Scott who got dumped by
Queen. 22 seconds a bunch of
time ran off there between win. Second and seven Wenzel
look to throw dumps it off for
Mason who got met by Wilson. Payton Wilson flies up there to
drop him for a loss of four.
Well there you go Payton Wilson. this 11 personnel, three wide
receivers of Minnesota, it
makes sense to have an extra DB bringing pressure here on third
and long and getting to Wentz.
There is a flag. Wentz is sacked back at the 22 by
Patrick Queen Benton there as
well. Really. Several Steelers Darnold. Of course former top
picks like Kevin O’Connell put
it we decide that they’re not any good as they struggle early
on in their career, but still,
their blitz pick up ducked under another man and then lost
the football at the 45. The
Vikings are on top of it. And Wentz and the Vikings dodged a
couple bullets right there.
First avoiding the sack. And series we’ve seen Carson Wentz
get up grimacing. Try to fall
on that second down and 11. Fake the toss sets up and gets
drilled again. He had no chance.
Swat and Benton were both there to tee off four sacks today for
the Steelers. Yeah I’m not
exactly sure what they’re doing That’s not how you draw, I
promise you that. That’s an
offensive line without the left guard, Jackson without the
center, Kelly without the right
tackle. O’Neill. And then this is picked off TJ what? As
electric of a big play guy as
there is on defense in the NFL. Makes another big play right
there. And so the third down
totals today for Pittsburgh three sacks and two
interceptions in the offense.
Up with great field position. Nice to meet you. Maybe we
could go. That’s a cup of tea.
She said this life ain’t best Le’Veon Bell kind of hit
it. Hit it. That’s a welcome
name in the backfield for a lot of Steelers fans. That guy was
pretty good. He was the best at
that. He went back there all day until it developed. Here’s
Gainwell left side and in for
his second touchdown. Steelers game from ball six off of the
water interception. The
Steelers take advantage of the short field. Yeah nice job Nix.
Nice play design there. You
keep Spencer Anderson. He for Jalen Ramsey. The Vikings
just three out of ten on third
down today. Big part of the issues. They’ve all been third
and long like this. Steelers
put everybody at the line and bring it after Wentz and get
their sixth sack of the game
Keanu Benton having his best game. So think back in the
first half we said the Steelers
had come in blitzing six or drive. Steelers offense that
has not run the ball well this
year. Tries to grind some clock up ten on first down straight
ahead it’s Gainwell with room
off the right side and Kenneth Gainwell number 14 goes for
that many. Pittsburgh Steelers.
I’ll tell you Gainwell has done down here into the red zone.
This is all different than you
usually expect from these teams. Usually it’s the defense for
the Vikings that’s always there
to provide the big play. And the Steelers have not been able
to grind on the ground at all
this year. Here’s another big hole Kenneth Gainwell inside
the ten. Over 90 yards on the
day in this surprise start for coverage. But look at this
effort by Wilson to at least
make him run another play. At least run another two plays.
Wow what a huge play by Payton
Wilson. One of the fastest linebackers in the NFL. Tracks
down Jordan Addison and then
Patrick Queen with a tackle on going here. Second and goal 220
Wentz end zone broken up and
incomplete James Pierre getting his chance with the injuries.
And the touchdown saving tackle
has killed off 45 seconds and touchdown. Even if you do
somehow get the ball back and
get another possession, third down and issue all day for the
Vikings. Broken up again, Juan
Thornhill this time fourth down and goal offense does stay on
the field. In the last two
plays. It just looks like snap right back and they just
keep going backwards. 14
seconds fourth and 18. So everything if you’re Pittsburgh
everything underneath short
inside the numbers when stepping up over the middle
it’s broken up. Deshon Elliott
knocks it away and seals the deal for the Steelers. Steelers
who will get their first win
overseas. They’ve done their

  1. スティーラーズ‼️
    NICE game‼️

    最強ディフェンスに加えて、オフェンスも機能していた。
    点差以上に安心して見ていられる試合だった。
    地区優勝しようぜ‼️

  2. Run the ball three times kick a field goal go up by 13 with about 2:50 left and no timeouts for Minn. Make it easy on us. I swear all the coaches screw up on purpose to make the game more exciting. All of them do it

  3. Awesome job by everyone in the organization. You did it for Dan! His dream became reality with an exciting win and some pretty incredible highlights too. Anyone with faith knows AR1, Dan, Tunch, Wolf, and Lolly were cheering the game together from above with smiles from ear to ear.

  4. I understand the rule about Mason touching the ball while out of bounds but in this case it almost feels like it should be changed to needed to possess the ball: Much like when a catch is made and the receiver needs to retain possession of the ball throughout the catch even when going out of bounds until down.

  5. Got to appreciate that long catch and run by Metcalf with Austin jetting downfield to throw the block that got his teammate into the endzone. Things are starting to click, our playmakers are making plays right now, and the best may be yet to come as the O-line starts to get their mojo working.
