Cooper Rush on His Start in Week 5 | Baltimore Ravens

Cooper, overall, how how do you think, you know, for first start for you went out there? Uh, not the result we wanted. Um, you know, won a couple drives in that first half back and, you know, we got some key stops on defense in the red zone. You want to go be able to go and capitalize on those. Um, but, um, you know, I felt I saw it well, things like that. you know, you can look back and it was good as a QB perspective. Um, but yeah, just all around got to be more timely in our execution. What was kind of the message in the locker room by the coaching staff after the game? Yeah, you know, it’s uh, you know, no one wants to be here, but it’s where we’re at and you got to dig yourselves out of it. And, um, we have the guys that can do it, we have the staff that can do it, players, and uh, kind of like Kyle said, you just have to go do it now. It’s, you know, it’s we’re kind of getting tired of saying it every week now, right? And uh it’s time to get out of it. Your first drive of the game, I think you went five for five right down the field, got held to the field goal, but scored. Not much else went right the rest of the first half. From where you stood, where what changed between that first drive and the rest of the half? Uh we just got behind the sticks and offense when you get behind the sticks, things like that. Um it’s hard, especially if it’s a good defense. Those guys fly around. They’re well coached. They play together for a while. they know what they’re doing and you get a sense of that and so if you hurt yourself um you’re just making it easier for them it could be hard. Do you feel like you guys are kind of shell shocked right now? I mean given what you all thought this team could be and where you are right now. Uh I wouldn’t say shell shocked now but um I mean there’s a lot a lot of guys in there play a lot of ball know what the NFL is like. It’s a week toe deal and um you know obviously no one’s happy. Um, but like I said, just got time to dig ourselves out of it. Okay.
