After improbable comeback, Cam Ward’s ‘poise’ is why Titans are confident about his future

i sat through every miami game last year and he didnt crash out on that junior varsity level defense at any point, no matter how deep of a hole they put him in. if he survived that with poise i have no worries about his mental toughness at all. he’s the definition of a locked in leader.
This has been a really interesting week and I’m not sure what to make of it. Eveyone locally now seems high on the Titans since they got a win. If Demarcado holds the ball, Cardinals win. If the Cardinals catch the Interception that Cam Ward threw directly to them, Cardinals win.
I’ve said many times that sometimes you win because you were the better team, and sometimes you win because the other team lost. Clearly this is a game that Arizona won if not for 2 disaster plays. I get that’s life, if you’re a 3-2 team you take it and run with it. But if you are an 0-4 team who has struggled to win for 2 years in a row I don’t know how you can be celebratory about this win. YES it is a win, but you didn’t actually make the plays to win the game, you gave up 52 yard touchdown that the guy carrying the ball dropped because he wanted to celebrate. Cam Ward didn’t make the plays to win this game, he got sacked twice and threw an interception. Tony Pollard fumbled the football leading to a Cardinals TD. Callahan didn’t have some brilliant call to setup a game winner. It just was lucky.
I get that a win is a win and maybe it does propel them to something greater. But I don’t know what anyone saw in that game that would make you think that is the case.
Cam Ward is the least of the problems. Dudes a dawg.
