Josh McDaniels is calling 2nd down runs after an incompletion less than any other play caller in the NFL

  1. His playcalling has been really solid this year. I definitely don’t miss runs up the middle for 1 yard on first and second down leading to a 3rd and long on every drive.

  2. I feel like every game his play calling is getting better and more aggressive, which is kind of how he’s always done things as the season goes by. Definitely have been enjoying the offense’s growth this year.

  3. He’s not preventing a rookie Mac jones from making mistakes anymore he’s leaning on a star QB

(We also suck at running rn)

  4. I miss the days when we pretty much started every fresh set of downs at 2 & short after a Brady completion. Please Drake and Josh help us get back to those days!

  5. We are so lucky to have Josh back to groom Maye. One step at a time. He knows how and when to take Maye to any next step. Don’t forget that we have a QB option to scramble and run too on second and long.(safely) of course. The D line is gonna demolish their O line Sunday btw

  6. As someone who didn’t want Josh back here – his playcalling has surprised me and has been much better than I expected. It’s been a departure from almost his entire history.

    Hopefully it continues.

  7. McDaniels is about as good at it gets at offensive game management. Sometimes i feel he is too quick to abandon the run, but what the hell do know. Stats like this are just interesting.

Calling 2 passes back to back with a duel threat qb means basically nothing.

  8. well you cant look at this in a vacuum. cant exactly run the ball when the rb1 lubes up with baby oil before the game
