[Music] It’s Bruins Brenda’s postgame live presented by the Inside the Ring podcast network through inside the rink.com and the Inside the Rink YouTube channel. Subscribe now and hit the thumbs up. Let’s get the comments in the chat. It’s already humming for our Bruins banter later on in the show presented by Evolve ABA. Our three up and three down comes later in the show. Put in your, you know, Bruins three ups and three downs for tonight. another win. And Mattie is Nostradamus. He said that they would win these two. And here we are. Here we are. Did you think that the game against the Blackhawks would be that close? No. I Well, I thought they’d win. See, all the games are going to be close because you can’t [ __ ] score. Yeah. So, yeah. But I didn’t think it would be back and forth like that. No. Tell you what, three and four in two games. Seven goals in two games. That’s three and a half. Three and a half a game. That’s like We can do the mathematics here on this program. Yeah. Six different goal scorers. I’ll take that all day long. You want to score three and a half goals a game. The Bruins are going to be pretty good if that if that keeps up. Oh, that’s that’s that’s amongst the that’ll be amongst the tops in the league. Yes. Typically the top in the league scores about three and a half goals a game. Yeah. So there you go. Uh, I don’t think it’s I don’t think they can sustain that. We’ll see. You never know. You never know. Look. Hey. You never know. Know. How about How about with Elias Lynholm leading the leading the club in goal scoring so far? Two two goals. Yeah. Power play goals. Now, I’ll tell you what, that that line largely struggled. I thought it was probably the worst line of the night to be honest with you. I didn’t I didn’t think I didn’t think it was a great game for Pasta. They missed a lot of you know Can you hit the [ __ ] net? I thought G I was awful tonight. Well, Geeky was terrible. In fact, that’s a foreshadowing for three up, three down, but Geeky was not good. And I’ll tell you what, Morgan, I I got news for you. Pasta’s looking for you all the time. Yeah. Can you act like you think it’s coming? Yeah. Can you be ready to shoot? That was one of the positives with him last year is when Pasa was looking for him, he was ready to shoot. He seemed surprised when the puck came his way. I mean, I don’t understand there was a few time like the good like on the power play. He has it, you know, in the lower right wing. Pasta has it in the lower right wing circle and does the crossing pass to Geeki and it and it explodes off his stick. There was another one. He wasn’t ready for it. Um he kind of fumbled it into the corner. He just wasn’t he he he didn’t seem like he was engaged offensively at least. It did. Yeah. And then it kind of crept into the rest of his game. It did. I I And I don’t know why because typically last year he’s ready to go with those. Yeah. And you got to be like feeling like Pa’s looking for you all the time. And so many pucks like into his feet or explode off his stick or he’s not quite ready to catch it or um you know and it happened quite a bit. You know they’re passing still. Oh yeah. There’s much to be desired. I mean there were times tonight where I’m like can you just make a pass? You know just make a pass. Catch it. I mean look that’s what hap that’s what happens when you have a team full of fourthliners. Yeah. I mean I mean you I mean you watch Chicago come down on some of their oddman rushes and it’s tic-tac-toe and then you know a guy’s walking down the slot wide open like we would have no chance of completing that number of passes in a row. We would send it into somebody’s skates or the somebody would fumble it or you know it it just bad things would happen and and you know it happened to us in overtime. We you know we’re joining the rush and then we miss the net and then it’s a two on. I mean, thank [ __ ] God for Copaso, uh, you know, in overtime. Oh man, I’ll tell you what, that was outstanding. Unbelievable. I mean, that was he had Nazar with the paddle like and and then Bedard and I thought I thought that was actually a mistake by Baddard. I thought he should have waited for his teammate and created the twoon and I think they have a much better chance of scoring that goal probably and probably winning winning there. But of course, Badar was going to try to take it to the net. And of course, he’s the best player on your team and he wanted that to happen. But I think if he waited, that was a twoon. Yeah, he he was a little nonchalant. He tried to like to brush them. It was like come in and like try a little flip. Yeah. And Yeah. Didn’t work out for him. No. But I’ll tell you, it was Frasier Mitten. Minty fresh. Minty. So fresh and so clean and clean. So fresh and so clean. So, I wish we could use that that that sound that that music in uh in the YouTube restrictions, but you’ll you’ll just you’ll just sing it and we’ll be fine. So, fresh and so clean. Yeah, that was a that was a nice finish. Mitten actually had a beautiful pass earlier to Janelle that uh you know they he made a great save on sort of po um who actually played pretty well too I think today. I think the goal is kind of thrown in their heads at times and there were money there were many pucks in the crease as Peson said in the comments like many pucks in the crease that the Bruins should have been able to tap in and that’s going to be a theme as he says throughout the year that it’s just going to be just off the finish like just off quite a bit and um look they win these two games I thought they would I thought they’d beat Washington at first and I thought they’d win this game at home and you You know what? I think they can win Saturday at home against Buffalo. Like I think they I think they could win Saturday at home. Not 3 and 0. But I’m telling you, there’s going to come a time during the year when they either get injured like home tonight. They either get injured in the forward group or they go through a slump that causes a losing streak and causes some doubt and some tough in a tough road. So that’s going to happen. But right now they’re ready to go. You would you would hope that, you know, they can minimize some of those losing streaks and you just don’t let it snowball so that it gets to, you know, three, four, five, six, you know, games. You know, if they can keep it to, you know, you lose, maybe you go like, you know, 02 and one or something on a road trip or, you know, 03 and one or something at worst, but you still grab a point and then maybe you can get out of that thing. Like you just hope that they don’t that it doesn’t snowball and become so bad that you know it just derails the season because if they can keep the losing streaks to a minimum and you can you know bounce back and you know play 500 hockey you should be okay. Well if they play like this they they’ll be better than Buffalo and Detroit. So they’ll be they’ll be in the mix for a while. I mean, Detroit’s goalending like John Gibson in the in his first period of play with Detroit had a goal saved above expected of minus 2.64 or something. He gave up three goals and and it would they should have scored like zero goals, right? Just to compare, Swayman had like a 3.64 or something. Yeah. In game one. Like that’s that’s that was putrid for Gibson. So that’s going to be a problem. I mean, look, I they can be better than Detroit and Buffalo and they can be in that mix, but with the five teams above them, you know, Montreal and you have Tampa Bay and Toronto and Florida and, you know, so there there’s some teams there that are really difficult, but right now, you know, the Bruins are playing the style they need to play. There were still some I’ll tell you what, on video, teams are going to start seeing that trail defenseman. Oh, yeah. in the slot like especially when Middlestat and Mitten are the centers like they just don’t pick up that guy and it was a couple of times tonight Renzel one time and another time someone else came it was Vassic or someone wide open. Yeah. I mean one time it looked like it was Jano. It looked like two or three guys went to the puck and they just left that weak side defense. It was just puck watching. They’re just standing there puck watching. Yeah. So, that’s something defensively that they’re going to have to tighten up because they’re going to be there’s some really good defenseman in the division, better teams. They’re going to take advantage of that and you just can’t have that. Yeah. Um, you know, but tonight, I think one of the good things about tonight was that when they went down a couple of times or whatever or coughed up the lead, they kept responding. Yeah. Um, and they did put on some that was a pretty good offensive effort for them. They put tons of shot attempts on. didn’t hit the net as much as I’d like, but they put some shots on goal and they played a pretty decent offensive game and got pucks to the net, bodies to the net. That was my favorite part. Yeah, that was my favorite part. They got they got pucks and bodies to the front of the net and created chaos along the front of the net and it allowed Tanner Jano to score his first goal. Like it was a nice move off the wall from Asimont, right? and then takes a shot and then there’s, you know, Mitten standing right in front where he should be and, you know, the puck squirts out to Jano and he buries it. Like that’s how they’re gonna have to score. It’s not going to be tic-tac-toe, you know, coming down off the rush. They the Bruins don’t have that team. It’s going to the the way that they’re going to stay in games is greasy goals and power play. and they scored on the power play again tonight, you know, um and to take the lead, which was another, you know, big goal at the time, um you know, to to to put them in front. So, they’re getting timely power play goals, and if they can do that, you know, that would go a long way to them, you know, making the playoffs. Yeah, for sure. uh you know in the five on three you know uh Peterson and Jaffy were talking about it um in the intermission five on three was kind of a disaster and I think the problem the culprit was Zaka he was he was to the he was to the left of the goalender and a few times they got it low and Jesus Christ like he didn’t bloating off his he no he would catch it and not even look at the net yeah like why are you standing you know, the bottom of the right wing circle and you’re not moving towards the net at all once you get the puck. You just stand there and like you’re not a threat from there, dude. You’re not a threat from where you’re standing. You got to take it to the net and make one of those defenseman respect you and then and they knew he wasn’t going to do it and he tried to go up and they got this [ __ ] like what is he doing? Yeah, I they they need more from they need and then you know Pa sets him up uh later in the in the power play. Um misses the net by a mile on a like get little give and go kind of Steve. Like I I just he he he drives me insane cuz he does have talent and he has a good shot that he doesn’t use very often and if he shot more he would probably hit the net more often but he only shoots once in a [ __ ] blue moon so he you know he doesn’t know where it’s going really and it Yeah. Yeah. And it it it’s just it crawls [ __ ] right up my ass. One time he passed the puck and it got deflected. How do you get it past deflected on 513? like you got deflected out of the zone. Like what are you doing? You’re just flatfooted and you know you don’t have any plan. Have a plan when you get the puck and that’s something that needs to be corrected because that just wasn’t very good at the end of that period. Uh and then Hampers Lynholm uh exits uh last shift was just over eight minutes left in the second doesn’t come back with a lower body injury. Hope to God it’s like a groin or something and not something to do with his knee because look, Kevin Miller had this stuff. Uh had this type of injury, never was the same in and out of the lineup. Of course, he was a different type of player, more physical, but man, I just hope it’s not the knee in any way because this could be really bad for them. It absolutely could. And you know, you one of the things that we were banking on was having a healthy hampus Lindholm to really help anchor that decor. And if he’s already starting to miss games and is going to miss, you know, who knows how long he’s going to be out for, but if he’s going to miss a bunch of games again, you know, D’s, you know, it’s good as a whole, but once you start getting some injuries and you get into the depth, you’re in trouble. Not a lot there. No, you’re in trouble a little bit. So, um, you know, you have to hope that he returns, uh, sooner rather than later. Yeah. I mean, Jordan Jordan Harris will probably step in now. He’s been he’s been scratched and he’ll probably step in. Uh, he’s he’s okay. But after, you know, four, five, six games of that, you know, it starts to chip away, especially if you’re a defensive structure, you know, keep the puck out of the net team, you can’t have injury problems in your defense. So, this is this is really something to look at. and to watch for as we go forward. If he has to do a Cam Me play every other game type of thing, even that would be tough for them to handle the course of time. You can’t just a little uh correction too. The Lynholm injury was in the first, not the second. Oh, the first. Okay. So, so yeah, I mean, we’ll see what happens with him, but hopefully it’s something else. Yeah. And not his knee. It didn’t look like, you know, Robert Charas had something on X where he kind of looked at the last shift by him and nothing really stood out. So, I don’t know if it’s just general soreness. Yeah, general soreness over, you know, locked up maybe playing back to back nights or something like that and they’re being, you know, precautionary and and hopefully it’s, you know, it’s nothing too serious. Yeah, for sure. All right, we’re going to get to Bender’s banter and your comments. And that’s presented by EvolveABA. Mind you, I didn’t see the goal. I’m watching the box score, so I don’t know if it was a fluke, but uh you know, look, Middlestad has offensive talent. He does. And uh he can pass it. He’s probably one of the better passers on the team. Absolutely. The problem is is that, you know, he just makes some real bad turnovers and defensively he can be a train wreck. Yeah. Um he just doesn’t engage. I wouldn’t mind seeing him out there on the first power play unit with Zaka. Put him down on that left side down below. That’s what I’m talking about. Yeah, put him there. He’ll try to make a play. Yeah, he that might be an adjustment. Uh yeah, I mean he had a really nice um you know cross crease pass to Iverson that they just got a stick on at the last minute there. Yes. Um got a stick. Yeah. Yeah. But still, you know, on one of the Chicago goals, he kind of fumbles it in the offensive zone and then, you know, they go for a bad line change. Chicago beats him down the ice and scores. And, you know, it’s just like, and it doesn’t seem like a ton of effort, you know what I mean? Like a ton of effort. It’s just like my goalie is going to make a save here or whatever. Like, it’s just like a last gasp like throw a throw a stick at his leg and it’s just not a lot of extra effort. you know, I I need to see I need to see more from him. Uh, you know, defensively and I I won’t say physically, but more like engagement. Like he doesn’t seem to really want to battle for pucks. He just No, he likes to play with the puck. I mean, we’ve played with people like that, like in street hockey or basketball or whatever. Just want they just want the ball over the puck and then they’ll play like hell. Like they’ll play great. He want he wants it on his stick and then when he has it on his stick he’s he’s fine but you know if he loses it or someone battles him for it like you know he he checks out which you know I would rather not have on my hockey team. Yeah details not a details guy not a real details guy. Oh Mr. Masters is uh not a details man not a details guy. Matthew Curtis says if it weren’t for Middlestat’s goal you could fire him into the sun. But I I probably would still like to do that. Yeah. Can we Can we What do we Can we come up with a different name for for Middlestat instead of Mr. Masters? Can we call him like uh Pebble Beach or something? Pebble Beach. Pebble Beach. Yeah, Masters is lowrise. So, you gota you got to have Middlestat is like is like uh what is it? Beth or Beth Page or one of those. Where’s Where’s uh TPC Srass? Yeah, we’ll call him we’ll call him Sawrass. Sawrass. Yeah. Okay. Middle nodrass. Matthew Curtis also says contributions from all the lines tonight. I thought the lines, you know, offensively I thought the lines played all played fairly well. I thought I really thought the first line wasn’t great. I thought Geeky was bad. Uh Lynholm did have the goal. Pos seemed off. he was missing nets and and really didn’t seem he sort of seemed to be out of sync. It is a tough like you know second out of a backtoback to start the season home opener like and it looked like that especially in the second period and this team has had second period problems. Yeah. In the past and tonight was another one like come out the second period just didn’t have a ton of energy. Yeah. Looks sloppy. Just looks sloppy as hell. And this team has to be ultra focused to play at a high level because they just aren’t super talented. They can’t just slide by on skill. They can’t fall behind two goals and then come back. You can’t just you can’t they can’t just show up and expect to win. Like they really have to work hard for everything they’re going to get. So if they’re not doing that um or if they’re sloppy or if they’re not, you know, valuing the puck the right way and and managing the puck the right way, it’s going to look bad. It’s going to look bad. And tonight it looked bad at times in the second period, but you know they fought their way through it and when they got down they you know um you know were able to tie it and then take the lead and hold on eventually. So yeah. And Adrienne says, “Am I wrong or we at seven goals by seven different players?” We’re at six different players. Elias has two has two. But you’re seeing some different guys, you know, putting the puck in the net early on here. So, and like you said, three and a half goals a game, three and four. Now, look, Chicago Blackhawks are not the best defensive team. They’re not the 96 Devils. You know, this is not this is that this is not that at all. So, let’s pump the brakes a little bit on that. But I will say that it was good to see them second night of a backtoback put a lot of shots on net, get a lot of pucks and bodies to the net, score four goals uh and get the win and uh go to get the first four points of the season is uh I mean played really good for them too. He I mean he made some big stops. Yeah, he did. Uh Corp was lights out in overtime says T Boss. He sure was. It was that was a great sequence there. You know, that’s where the threeon three is just great. I mean, Chicago doesn’t want to play any defense, so they’re going to be up and down the ice and they’re not going to drag it around and all that. They’re going for they’re going for the goal. Uh, and that was a really good high, you know, high energy threeonree back and forth. Um, Pashanak had that shot before bed chance where it’s that off angle that you can’t take like you can’t take that chance to have that off angle shot miss and it zips around the boards three on three. Yeah, that’s a tough one to take. But Corp Corp was up to the challenge. Now Corposalo was irritated he didn’t play more last year. Um, Swayman looked good in game one. Corposalo looks good at times in game two. Like I still think it’s going to be a 5527 or whatever it is split. Um I think I I think uh Corp is going to get more games this year. You think so? I think they’re going to get the 30. Yeah, because they they were talking about it a little bit on the broadcast and saying um that uh I don’t know if it was Sturm or Sweeney or somebody agreed that Copasalo should have gotten a few more games last year. So, it sounds like maybe it’ll be, you know, and it may only be a few more. It might be, you know, 52 and 30 or something, but he it sounds like Copasal is going to get a few more games. But look, if he starts to suck, then he won’t. Then he won’t. But if both are playing well, I think he’ll get a few more games. We also have that condensed schedule, too, right? Yeah. So, you’re playing a ton of games in a short period of time, so he might get into the 30s. You might be right. And yes, he has to be playing well to do that. Tonight he looked super focused. That’s as good as I’ve seen him play when it comes to attacking the puck. He was he was slapping at guys in the crease. Like he was really engaged. He was in net tonight. Uh Dan Mus some of these young fellas are really proving themselves already. Well, I think there’s some there’s been some good some good stuff from Frasier Mitten at times. Um I like Frasier Mitten’s game a lot. I do. I do. and and Sturm does. So, he he plays a mature game for a 21-year-old and and nothing more evident than when he scored the gamewinner because I think 90% of young guys in the league pass that puck. They do as a veteran on a twoon-one in overtime. 90% of the guys in the league pass that puck because it wasn’t the right play. He held on to it and he shot and he scored and they won. And that was um that really just proves, you know, that he’s um kind of uh has a mature game and and has a really good hockey IQ, which this team could certainly [ __ ] use. Oh my god, there’s more guys that think the game the right way. My god, could they use it? I’ll tell you, if Minton is, you know, a 40point guy or whatever, oh my god, then they’re then they’re in really good shape. like they’ll they’ll talk ourselves into them being I think I think you know what I I said I said before is going on I said they’d win these two games and they’d missed the playoffs at 78 points. I’m still with that. Like I still I still see this team struggle. I want I want the I want the Benders uh in the comments to ask you every every game if you’re going to change your mind. I I I can’t change my mind right now because they played, you know, they they the Caps game was a good win, but this is a Blackhawks team that’s still one of the worst teams in the league. Yeah, I I 100% agree. I didn’t think they would win in Washington on opening night. I really didn’t. I I thought they’d win that game, and I don’t know why Washington hasn’t won a season opener. Oh, I mean, in a few years. Yeah. So, there’s that. There’s that. Yeah. And they were half asleep most. You’re like, uh, you know, one of those uh wise guys in Vegas, you know, I like look at all the trending. Yeah, trending. Yeah. Uh Heather Dawn says, “Go Bruins.” Yes, sir. Yes. Yes, ma’am. Yeah, you are right, Heather. Go Bruins. I’ll tell you what, it’s a good start to the season. And one thing I thought of tonight after that win in Washington and they come for the home opener with the New Jerseys, they must that that pro shop must have been [ __ ] humming tonight. Oh yeah. There’s already like some energy and some hype. Yeah. And and here’s the other thing that scrum where Cari and Zidorov went to the thing, you know, to the box and Zidorov cross checked Nazar a couple of times and and that whole thing. I’m going to say it right now. This this team, yeah, for different reasons might be one of the more likable Bruins teams just because of the nature of Neanderthal Bruins fans that love this type of [ __ ] Like they’re going to love this team. Oh yeah. Just for the way they play if if if they have some like line brawls or some [ __ ] with I mean Yeah. It’s gonna pop off like that. It it will be this team will become lovable, especially if they can stay relevant and not slide down the standings if they can play this way up in people’s faces and face washing and scrums and fighting and blocking shots and hitting. They they hit the hell out of Chicago tonight. Zadorov was crushing people all over the ice. Like they were really uh bringing the physicality. If they can continue to do that, the team will f the fan base will fall in love with them. Honestly, they will. They will. I mean, I’m I’m watching that scrum and I’m just thinking that’s like mid80s Bruins right there. Well, they loved it when the did the did the uh you know, took the penalty on the puck that popped up in the air and then just went around hitting everybody for, you know, the next minute and a half. The fans were like loved it. They loved it. Yeah. I swear to God, I sometimes I think Bruins fans don’t give a [ __ ] if they score. Like if as long as they’re taking people’s heads off, they don’t care. Like this is almost like roller derby sometimes. Yeah. Well, they don’t care about the points. They just care about someone getting hurt. Like they just want they just want the Brewers to go out and just maim people. Yeah. I think if you um if you really want to get that crowd on your side, you send out your fourth line or your third line or it doesn’t matter because they’re the same thing early early in a game and you just have them crush people. Yeah, you do. You just have them run around and crush people. Go out of their way to make hits. Yes. And you will get the get the crowd on your side early. And I think that could be a recipe for this. I’ll tell you what, I I I love I I have fallen in love with Nikita Zorov and And one of the reasons why is he he cross-checks Nar a couple of times. They’re in the scrum and everything. Then he has this who me look on his face like what do you what do you get me for? He get me for two or four or what do you got? What do you got? And he’s standing next to the ref and I’m just like that is priceless. He’s out and he he leveled Burkovski one time like just drilled him at one point and then it was uh the defenseman there uh Hanzel Renzel Renzel coming down the boards and he spun and he drove his head right into the dash. He did. I’m glad I didn’t call it cuz don’t put yourself in a prone position. Oh, especially not against him. What are you like? What are you drilling? Nuts. Turn yourself into a vegetable. That’s That’s nuts. That was nuts. When he crossed Nazar a couple of times and Nazar turned around and looked, he was like, “Oh my god.” It looked like he was like looking at King Kong in like one of those movies. Yeah. Like, “Oh my god, how do I get out of here?” Uh, Pezar says, “There was a dozen pucks in the crease tonight that just needed to be tapped in and somehow stayed out.” That will be a theme all season long and I think it will at times for sure. Yeah. Not enough finish from a lot of those guys. TBO, it is nice to see Mitten with that kind of confidence in overtime and Smitty’s talked about it like that’s absolutely that’s a great that’s a great, you know, decision to shoot it and to score it. Um, and not a lot of young guys would, you know, no, they’d put himself in like no man’s land. they’d hold on, hold on, hold on and not have any angle or just put it in the pads or but he uh he took the shot and made it. Um Dan May says, “If we can fix these problems, we will be on track for postseason. This is already a better team than last year.” It is. I mean, it is. I mean, last year’s at the end of last year was a complete dumpster fire. Um, I’m not sure if this is a better team than the start of last year talent-wise, but I will say that they seem to buy in early. The structure is better. The camp was better. Yeah. You know, all that stuff. They were more prepared to play at the start of the season um than last year, obviously. Yeah. We’ll see when they go up against, you know, the Winnipegs and the, you know, Colorado and the Dallas’s and the, you know, Florida’s um, you know, of and the Carolinas of the world and see where they stack up against those teams cuz the Bruins last year got blown out by by playoff teams and if um, you know, they’re going to need a really solid defense. Um, right now they’re minus Hampus Lindholm. They’re going to need Swayman to be, you know, the Swayman that played opening night and not the Swayman of last year. So, we’ll see how that all shakes out. But right now, um it looks pretty good. So, hopefully they can continue it. And uh TB Brazers scored again tonight. He’s on he’s on a freight train. I said in the text chat to you guys, I said Brazers is playing with Malcin. He’s going to score 25 this year. Yeah. And you know what? I’d still have him for like 10. I think he’s going to score three now and then seven the rest of the year. I just I don’t because Malcolin’s going to get traded to Florida and he’s going to end up with, you know, Joe [ __ ] sleeve and then it’s going to be he’s gonna have 10 goals again. All right, we’ll see. But I just I can’t Maybe Tos and Maddie need to make another wager. Maybe. Maybe I have another wager. Yeah, maybe. Uh Travis Hower says, “Uh, Hampus out longterm. Not sure yet. I just looked on AX. I didn’t see any updates.” Um, so there’ll be an update tomorrow, but uh I’m not sure. And that would be somewhat devastating. Uh Michigan Mike wants Bluel and Steves. Screw these other guys. These other guys uh he wants more excitement from Blumel and Steves. Well, they’ll they’ll provide the uh excitement down in Providence. uh they’ll score tons of goals on there. I think um the second line uh as currently constituted doesn’t really work. I don’t think Zaka and Middle stat should play together. I don’t like that at all. I I don’t think they complement one another at all. I think Blue Mel would be good on that line with either of those guys as the center because both of those guys are pass first and I think Blue Mel has the speed to stay with Arbitson and I don’t think either one of those other guys do. So, I think um that might be a better line. I wouldn’t mind seeing that. Um but I think one of Zaka andor Middlestad is going to need to be traded in order for that thing to happen. And that probably won’t happen until at least mid-season, if not, you know, um ever. I don’t I don’t know if they’ll do it. I don’t know. One of those guys is uh you know, attractive enough to other teams. Zaka maybe because he’s got um you know he’s pretty pretty responsible defensively has some offensive upside and um you know he has a low contract so yeah right I can see him filling in for as a you know a bottom six guy on a contender. Joe Bandara says optimistic Smitty 82 and0 for the year. Yeah. Do you think that Sweeney and Neilie like I could just see smug Sweeney right now? You just see it. I almost hate that we’re two and 0. Like, you know what I mean? I almost hate it because I could see Sweeney walking around the office like, you know, Jesus Christ. Like, that’s the one thing that just irritates me about it. I’m with you. They’re going to make the playoffs, have a mid-range, couple of mid-range first round picks, maybe even trade him off for some guy who won’t [ __ ] reach expectations, and here we go. Yeah, it’s going to be the same [ __ ] again. But, you know, he’s thinking in the back of his head like this is what should have happened last year. Like, this is how we should have been last year, right? You know, he’s, you know, he’s going to be like, “Oh, I was proven right all along.” Play well. That’s That’s what he’s think I know that’s what he’s thinking. It just helps his ego a ton. And look at you didn’t invest in Monty and Monty gave up. You’re both wrong. You both, you know, you you didn’t want to invest in in Montgomery further and Montgomery was a child about it. So, you’re both [ __ ] up and the season was a disaster. So, I mean, get that thing right. You know, either fire him before the season started if you didn’t want him any further. Yeah. or extend him and you know maybe it’s different but Montgomery knew the writing on the wall was a lame duck coach you know but that’s the GM’s fault absolutely before anybody else um T-Bos says bees need a pickle ball mentality and they will make the McKenna sweeps um yeah I mean the hard part is with McKenna is that you don’t know you got if the ball’s going to drop your way but they do have it it is seems seems to be a more loaded draft than this year. So, you’re going to get a pretty good player in there if you don’t make the But I’m telling you right now, folks, they’re not making the playoffs. They are not [ __ ] bookmark this, Connor. They are not making the playoffs. And we’ll play this goddamn thing again when they’re mathematically eliminated. We’ll play this very clip. They are not making the playoffs. Well, aren’t you Debbie Downer? Yeah, I’m telling you they’re not. Um, so don’t not to fear. They are not. They’ll have 2.6% chance of getting [ __ ] dabbing McKenna. Yeah. Uh, and then they’ll get, you know, you know, I don’t know what do what do they call it on Felgore Maz? They call the enemy schmedlap. They’re gonna get that guy. Enmedlap. Uh and you know at pick eight uh Craig Lee the second line is boner deflation to the extreme. Uh yeah. Well I’ll tell you middle stat scores and this is going to be middle stat though. He’s he’s Todd Ell you know what I mean? He’s he’s got to put some points and some goals in and stuff but he’s like fool’s gold. It’s like it’s Frank Vrono. You know what I mean? It’s yeah offensively Jesus. Look at the stats. But he doesn’t play defense. He doesn’t pay attention to details. Honestly, he’s not a winning player. I know. I’d rather have Frank Padron. I’d rather have Frank. Yeah. He just He just doesn’t He’s not a winning player. Need winning players. Yeah. Uh Dan Mayor says, “Just throwing it out there. I’m becoming more and more of a Zidora fan.” Me, too. Yeah. He’s got more brewing blend in him than most players over the last two or three years. Um, he does have he’s a he’s a lesser version than Charara, but he’s almost a a more dirty version of Char. Yeah. Like he’s just like borderline institutionalized out there. Yeah. Char was Char even at 69 was still a gentleman on the ice. You know, even when he was beating the hell out of you, he was a gentleman. Yeah, Zedorov’s kind of, you know, he’s like [ __ ] Drago from Rocky. Like he wants to [ __ ] break you. He does. And he smiles at you. It’s like, it’s like psychopathic. Yeah. You know, he smiles. Uh, hey, we got some sips out there. I got to jump ahead to sips. Don’t want to forget those. Adrianne has ginger ale and Wild Turkey. Absolutely. Oh, yeah. Right. Abs fuckingutely. Uh, and I think T-Boss had had one earlier. Uh, I lost it. But if Connor can source through some of those having the uh Sam October Fest again. Oh, the October. Tell you what, the harpoon October that that that festival is pretty good. And that and the and the and the uh that was pretty good. And they had the UFO. UFO is has always been one of my sneaky favorites. UFO White. So good. It’s so good. Um, they had that hockey club logger though. That [ __ ] was good. That was pretty good. That was pretty good. It was in a can, which you know, yeah, I don’t typically like it in the can, but uh if it was in draft uh then I would uh let’s see. Elias, where are we? I just lost it. Elias started hot last year, says Pesman. He had five points in the first three games. Good point. And then we know what happened. We are going to be any good this year. He has to be uh playing with 88 and 39. He has to clear 55 points. I’ll tell you, Elias was hurt. He was dinged up. He was and then got into a real good slump for himself. But he has, as Ty Anderson tweeted out, 20 20 points in his last 27 games since four nations. So, you know, he’s he’s producing and and coming together with Parak has been a good for him. And like like we said, like Smitty said, you know, Smitty said so many things that have come to fruition. Elias Lynholm is a good offensive player with good offensive production when he plays with Johnny Hockey and Makachuk and he plays with David Pashnak. Like put him with elite players and it elevates his game offensively. Yes. And that’s what’s happening. You can’t put him with Harry Schmmedlac and [ __ ] Tanner Jano. You can’t do that in no offense to Tanner, but you know, you can’t. Ever since Four Nations, he’s been good. He has. He’s been good. And so if Four Nations gave him his confidence back, great cuz we need it. That’s what we that’s what we need him to play like. So if he found it there, fantastic. And hope hopefully it continues on because he’s going to be here for a long time. A long time. A long he’s not going anywhere. No. Hopefully um someone else will elevate to the number one center role and he can slide into number two center and win draws and be that guy and and that would be probably you would be better off as a team as a whole if James Hagen say in a year or two uh took that number one center job right away from you. Sure. Yeah. He would. Fingers crossed. Yeah. Elias uh you know he maybe he slips into the sulky sulky thing again. I’d be fine with that if he’s uh he’s playing really well and they’re you know they’re a plus plus line all year long. Maybe he slips into that conversation. Katar has a good season. He’s going to win it because it’s his last. Yeah, it’s on his way out. Yeah, they’ll give him the they’ll get do the same thing and Barov’s hurt for the year. So I think if Kopitar has a good season, it’s going to him. Kopitar, you know, we they talked about him briefly like he’s an underrated, undervalued, undertalked about player for years. Like very very very underrated. Like crazy underrated. Like you look at his stats and stuff. We talk about Bird. If it was reversed, Kopatar would be, you know, sure ballot hall of famer and people be talking about him all the time. I mean, he’s going to be that anyway. He’s going to be that. He’s going to be that anyway. He’s just not. But it would be wouldn’t be under the radar, though. No, he’s not talked about as much because he plays in LA, so people don’t a lot of people don’t get to see him because they the games are late. But yeah, he’s a he’s a better offensive player than Berson is. Yes. And he’s worse he’s a little bit worse defensively. Not a lot worse, but he’s a little bit worse defensively. I think overall overall I’m talking about you could make the argument he’s a better player than Berser overall. You could you really could. And that’s sacrilegious. And this this thing may be taken off the air, but uh yeah, I mean it could be. It could be. You could make the argument. I’m not saying it’s true. I’m not saying it’s true cuz I have I have a I have a special place in my heart for Patrice. Sure. Um but you could make the argument and Kings fans could make the argument and they wouldn’t [ __ ] kidding me. Thanks, Connor. Would be absolutely beloved here if he played here. Although you would absolutely be loved and 100%. I hope he wins the Sulki. Good for him. Uh Sticks and Puck says, “I was really hoping for a goalie hug there at the end. What a game.” I don’t think they’re a huggy pair. No, I don’t think so. They like each other really. I don’t think they I don’t think they love each other. Like I don’t like I’m sure they’re fine with each other, but I don’t think I don’t think it’s a love affair. No. No. Uh Dan May says, “I feel like there’s more shooting for the Net than last year. I don’t know if it’s these younger guys or if Sturm has railed them to actually shoot more for the net. Well, here’s the thing. Against Washington, they didn’t have a ton of shots on net. I think they had I don’t know what 21 shots, but some of them were late. Like it just when they play good teams, it’s going to be a real struggle to get shots on net. They went I think seven different segments or five different times. They went like more than five or seven minutes or whatever it was. Five different times. More than five minutes without a shot. Yeah. without a shot on net. So tonight, Chicago sucks defensively. Yeah. Like, and they turn it over and they try to make home run plays and they do all the [ __ ] that young pe young players do. So, you’re going to get more chances tonight. Now, good on them, the Bruins, that they opened it up offensively a little bit and tried to score some goals. Good. Great. But against good teams, you’re going to see a lot more what you saw against Washington. Yeah. Yeah. You will. You will. And and the other thing about the Bruins is they don’t hit the net. They don’t. Oh my god. They don’t hit the net. I mean, tonight was a even bigger example of that cuz Posanak was a little off so he wasn’t hitting the net and Geeki wasn’t hitting the net, but like Zaka doesn’t hit the net. Usually the defenseman don’t hit the net from from the points. Um, so they’re a team that, you know, they might have shot attempts, but you know, they’re gonna have low quality shots on net if if, uh, you know, they’re facing good teams. Minor injury to Hampers Lynholm, not related to the knee. Excellent. That was just tweeted out about 20 minutes ago by some of the Boston media. So, excellent. Has a minor lower body injury, not the knee. So, that’s excellent news. Yes. Uh, Corby plays 35 games minimum, says TBO. Mark my words. Could be. Um, let’s not [ __ ] ourselves, boys. And in Adrian, we are we are one topline injury away from a six to eight game losing streak. Could be true. Could be true. Ash gets hurt and you cannot gets hurt. We might as well just turn the whole damn thing off. Oh my god. You can punt the regular season. Goodbye. We won’t be doing We’ll be doing a you know a drunk sadfest. Yes, we will. We’re doing the Bruins wake every night. Yeah, that would be disastrous. Knock on wood. Uh Dan Manner says question with Storm at the helm with the team looks right now. Could we see an actual Bruins culture to show? I think you’re starting to see some culture. I think you got guys who buy in. I will say this about Sweeney begrudgingly that he’s gotten guys who who like to play the style he wants to play. So for the first [ __ ] time in like 10 years, he’s gotten guys who actually can can show some sort of an identity together. You know what I mean? Like I I see what he’s doing. Yeah. We’ve always wanted a plan. Do I agree with the plan or agree with the contracts and all that stuff? No. But at least I see somewhat of a plan and all the guys who we brought in are buying into the plan. I would agree with that. I I think that what you need though is you need that in a bottom six, the the tough to play against, the scrums, the physicality, the whatever. And then you need some talent up top. Ideally, you’re like Florida and your talent up top same plays the same way as your bottom six guys do. But I don’t think the Bruins the Bruins to to reach that level would have a long way to go. You know, Parson plays physically. You know, Geeky plays physically, but they’re not in scrums. They’re not in people’s faces. They’re not Sam Bennett. They’re not Sam Reinhardt. They’re not Brad Marian. They’re not, you know, they don’t play that way um consistently um like Florida does top to bottom. You know, you got a handful of guys who play that way. Um but the Bruins need more offensive talent to go along with, you know, some of the guys who are, you know, irritants and in your face. They do. I mean, it it’s set up if you get a couple of really good young offensive players, it’s set up for a good little mix there. Sure. But you just need those good dynamic offensive players. Yeah, and those aren’t hard to come. Those are hard to come by. Yeah, those are really hard to come by. Michigan Mike says, “Becher hasn’t played yet.” And then Dan Maynard says, “Music, don’t trigger Smitty.” You know, we were having such a good time. My uh best friend, I love I love I love Beach’s role right now. Yeah, I’m big fan of his role right now. I think Watch all the I think he’s excelling at his role right now. Uh um he’s no Riley Tuy though. I think Riley Tuy really should have beaches job. He should He’d rather have Tuy in there. Yeah. I haven’t se When’s the P Bruins when they start up at some point, right? For real. Yeah, it’s probably it’s probably this weekend, I would think. Right. I wonder I wonder I wonder what I saw that Patra was going to play with Lysel, I think. Um Potra, Lysel, Blue Mel, maybe. Yeah, something like that. Patra, Lysel, Blue Mel, maybe. And then uh Mercur was playing with Steves and somebody. Yeah. I mean they’re going to have an AHL All-Star team down there. Be Patrick Brown and Jeffrey Vl. Jeffrey V’s on this team. Oh V and Beach are up in the ninth floor. They are V popcorn swings. Oh god, they are um I’m not sure why you signed Beecher to put him on the says Brazil scores 30. I So you have to bet with them. You have to bet with Brazil scores 30. Okay, if I can go under 30. You know what? I’ll go under 25. Yeah, you go. You go 25 and above. I’ll go 24 and below. How’s that? And then we’ll we’ll wager something. Playing with Malin. I’ll tell you if he scores. I’ll tell you what. I will [ __ ] my hat and put it on. What did you say? You said you were going to eat eat your hat or streak naked. I was gonna eat my hat. I was going to eat my hat. Yeah. I’m gonna eat my shorts that he’s going to eat. He’s gonna eat shorts. Yeah. I just don’t see that happening at all. He’s gonna I’ll tell you what, he will struggle to get 10 goals. He will. TB says, “I own all the relevant Bender swag. What is left to wager?” That’s a good question. That’s a good question. And thanks for buying. TB has a guest spot on postgame episode, I reckon. Oh, we can make that [ __ ] happen. Throw T-Boss on. We can make that [ __ ] happen. We’ll throw T-Boss on. Yeah, sure. We’ll get a We’ll make a Brazers shirt and send it out to him. Yeah. Brazers.com. Yeah. And then put Justin Brazo’s big 6 foot6 badass on there. That’d be great. I think you should 6 foot6 uh Brazo. Yeah. Wax statue. Yeah, I was going to say, but I didn’t guess it. I tell you, spitties turned a quarter this year. Yeah. Uh Christ. Uh Bes Peshman says, “For this team to make the playoffs, way too many things need to go right.” Yeah. If we and we’ve talked about that like Swayman has to be back to elite form. Second line looks like an NHL second line. D is out and special teams are impactful. Yes. Like once you get to seven or eight ifs, buts, ins, and buts, they never they never all work out over the course of the year. So again, they’re not making the playoffs, but it’s going to be a fun team to watch probably when they beat the bag out of people, I guess. Hopefully hopefully that’s what they do and it’s entertaining. Uh we did we talked about this on one of the regular episodes. There’s there’s too many ifs. So yeah, usually you don’t have seven or eight ifs all go your way. You might be lucky and have one or two go your way, but usually all of them don’t go your way. And the Bruins really need all of them to go their way in order to be a playoff team. And it’s probably not going to happen. But you know, that’s why they play the games. That’s why they play the games. It’s funny you mentioned that, Adrien. Adrian says she wants T-Bon on as a guest and Dan Maynard. We actually have a new thing where you can send in a video. Yes. And you can email it to us. We have had a submission that we’re going to play on the regular episodes. Yes. Um so if you want to make a video and send it to our email [email protected]. Yes. We will get it on an episode as long as it’s not, you know, Yeah. I mean stupid or can’t be, you know, don’t be don’t be nude, you know, unless you’re female. Yeah. If you’re male, don’t be nude. Don’t be nude. If you’re a male, don’t be racist. Probably is. Yeah. Yeah. Don’t do that. Don’t say extremely inappropriate. If you if you keep it to hockey, you’ll probably get on the Yeah, you will. You will. So, we’re doing that on the regular episode. So, go ahead. Send us a video submission. Um, cut. We’ll see if makes a cut. I mean, maybe he’s terrible at this. I don’t know. Maybe. Maybe. Maybe. He’s probably not because he’s good in the comments. So, he’s probably good at it. But, you know, yeah, we’ll see. We need someone, you know, we could use just as a reg on a regular kind of basis is a is a female voice. You know what I mean? Someone is a good You’ve been saying years. I have. It’s one because he’s looking for a girlfriend, folks. That’s not true. Actually, if you love hockey, I’ll consider it. But that’s the only way I’ll consider it. you know, uh, unlikely to all unlikely to all happen, but at the very least would like to see the kids like Lori, Minton, maybe Zeers take big steps. Yeah. I mean, they need more Will Moore and James Hagens and Dean Lerno and some of they need three or four of these guys, Lush Melis, three or four of these guys to be, you know, to be good, to be NHL players. like they need because all the free agents are signing with their own teams and they don’t have a ton of assets. I mean, they have a couple of first round picks the next two years, so they could use those, but you know, are you going to get a NUS? Are you going to get a Are you going to be able to sign an or trade for an Adrien Kempe? I don’t know. Those guys want to come here. Nas hated Carolina and Colorado. You think he’s going to like Boston? The only reason that he would like it here maybe is because of the connection with the check guys. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Then take a swing. Yeah. You know, take a swing. I’d be willing to. He’s a 70 point guy. Take a swing. Sure. Uh Mra says Tom Fergus. I just had an acid flashback. Yes. Tommy Fergus. Yeah. Uh Kenny Hodgej Jr. There’s been some guys. I love him. Jake Jake De for Christ’s sake. Yeah, there’s been some guys that came out of the shoot and you were like, “Wow, this guy’s great.” And then h you know, Dimmitri Caro Talnoff. Sure. You know, Mario Chakosski. Oh, sure. Uh Michigan Mike says, “I have to settle on Bllandon for my stomp. My Frey Ranch 123 proof is gone. God bless you. It has a government warning label on it.” Wow. Wow. 123 proof is Yeah, it’s lethal. Yeah. Don’t operate heavy machinery with that stuff. No. Um I probably wouldn’t even walk around with that stuff. No, I wouldn’t. Yeah. Yeah. Just sit still and drink. Yeah, sit still. Try not to do too much. Um Matthew Curtis says, “Uh, Nate just wants to play with his Czech teammates and also wants to play in a big market.” Um the cap is 107 million. Yes, Mike. But the problem is I don’t know if they’re going to be able to spend it all. And if they do spend it, they’re going to spend it stupidly. Like I don’t they need they need Yeah. I mean part of the problem is is they build the roster from the bottom up. They do. Um which I don’t understand. Like signing Tanner Jano on day one of free agency is a mistake. Um, you know, you can get Tanner Jano on a different day at free agency and maybe not have to give him 17 million bucks over five years. So, you know, get some offensive talent like they said uh in behind the bee or whatever Cam Neily said, “Oh, we, you know, we thought we were going to uh improve the offense, but it didn’t materialize or whatever, right?” So, it sounds like, you know, they maybe had some things cooking that didn’t work out. Who knows? Maybe it’s Nas and maybe they revisited the trade deadline. Yeah, maybe that’s where they’re really keying on is getting NUS for guys and then Jesus, you get Nas. If you get Nas and you’re in it like Jesus, you know, maybe they do sneak in and they do, you know, they are a little danger little dangerous. They are a little dangerous at that point, aren’t they? At that point. Jesus Christ. Yeah, you get a hot goalie and you know a little scoring the power play gets hot, you know. Yeah. Jesus. Who the [ __ ] knows? Who the [ __ ] knows? Who the [ __ ] knows? Tbo says Stag Jr. 132 proof is smooth as can be. And Zack Haste is sipping the tequila Caesar tonight. Very nice. I love that everybody’s out here just drinking. Just drinking. Thirsty Thursday for Christ’s sake. Thirsty Thursday. Connor, if you guys wanted to give some of these folks who are thinking about making a video a little inspiration, we could show them the one that we already have before next week. We could you give giving these people a little tease? Yeah, give them the teaser. We’ve we’ve had it ready. I mean, let’s tease it. [ __ ] throw it up there. Let’s tease it for you. What’s up, guys? Got to try to be uh quiet to not wake my wife up, but I want to yell. I’m so mad. Why did we send down Blue Mel to Providence and not [ __ ] Johnny Beecher? I’m so done with the Johnny Beecher experience. He’s so bad. I don’t care if he’s fast. I don’t care if he’s good on the PK. He provides absolutely nothing. offensively. He’s so bad. Turnovers, turnovers, turnovers, no goals. I I’m so so sick of him. I don’t understand why the [ __ ] the Bruins are still entertaining this experience cuz they’re afraid to admit that they made a mistake on this guy. Like, I I’m so mad. I’m so done with this guy. There it is. There it is. Good start with Johnny Beecher. Yeah. I mean, he I mean, he knew that he was um sucking up to me with that video. He knew that he we would play it, you know, if he attacked Johnny Beecher cuz, you know, he’s a man after my own heart right there. Going right after the beach, man. He knew. Yeah, he knew what he did. He did. He did. [ __ ] Beecher is correct, Zach. Yeah. I mean, Brun’s 1970 says, “Beer and blue are irrelevant. Not worth waking your wife. Get in there. Yeah. I mean, yeah. Get in there. So, so there’s that part of it, too. Like, you can yell a little bit. I mean, if you’re mad at Johnny Beach or enough, you you can yell a little bit. It’s okay. You know, to yell and wake people up before I have. Yeah, I have. Happy Thanksgiving, Zack Haste. Canadian Thanksgiving off till Tuesday. It’s Canadian Thanksgiving? Yeah, it’s Boxing Day. Is that box? Is that the same thing? Yeah. Right. We should know this. We have Boxing Day is after Christmas. Oh, it’s not. We have a lot of Canadian fans. So, the World Juniors is played. We should probably figure out some of this [ __ ] Dan, that was Brian in the video. Brian sent us a uh Yeah. sent us a Canadian Thanksgiving is typically our Columbus Day. Ah, okay. Well, or indigenous people day because we found out that Columbus was a corrupt, you know. Yeah. [ __ ] [ __ ] Uh, speaking of corrupt [ __ ] let’s go to three up, three down. Uh, three up today. Number three, Frasier Mittton scored the gamewinner in overtime. Made a great pass to Jano for what could have been a goal, eventual game winner as well. Uh, so number three was Minton to Elias Lynholm. Second goal in as many games on pace for 82, baby. Uh and and Elias has been good and he seems to be re-energized and maybe just maybe playing with good players or a really great player is going to maybe get him to a 50 60 point season. Wouldn’t that be nice? It would be very very nice. And then number one, Yonas Corposalo was terrific, especially in overtime robbing Nazar, robbing Bedard and allowing the Bruins to win. Yeah, 100% agree. 100% agree. Uh three down. Uh number three, the injury to Hampus. Although we found out now that uh it is not that serious. So that is good, good news. Good good news. Uh number two, Morgan Geeky thought he was off all night. Um didn’t look ready offensively. Didn’t look shot ready, which is a big thing they’ve talked about over the off season. Um for guys uh and especially somebody playing with pos you have to be shot ready. Yeah. Um for sure. Uh and then number one the officials and you know I I said it tweeted it during the game and I said it’s game two and already I’m done with the officiating. Like I just Yeah. I’m You watch them call games and I just don’t know what they’re looking at. I just don’t I really wish they would cut down on the overall amount of penalties called. I really do. I think it should be like one or two a game. I mean, I know power play is exciting and that that should be egregious egregious penalties. That’s you know, it’s goal scoring and that’s important and you know, you want people to have the high point totals and all that thing. I get it. Um but it it like the call on Makavoy tonight like God’s laying on his stick. Unbelievable. Yeah. And he yanks it out from under him and then he gets a penalty for interference or something for Again, that’s a call you don’t make in the postseason. You don’t make that call in the postseason. Don’t make it. Yeah. I mean, all you got to do as an official is say, “Knock it off, boys.” Or whatever. Yeah. And then if they both do something stupid, you either call them both or you call no one. That’s a no call. Every single day of the week, that’s a no call. But you know, here’s here’s [ __ ] Joe Blow got to insert himself into the game and then he walks over and you know, he does his little delay. 73 Boston 2 minutes. Yeah. Interference, right? [ __ ] yourself, buddy. Yeah. No one watch you. No one thinks it’s cute. Just announce the penalty and get the [ __ ] out of the way. Yeah. And Zack Hay said it right. Some of the icings were all [ __ ] up, too. Some of those calls uh the linesman weren’t great. I It’s just I know it’s the beginning of the season. And I know they have some uh you know they go with those uh things they need to watch and they want to make a statement early on and call these penalties and try to set the tone for the year and all this other stuff but it starts to fade away fade away and it’s garbage in the beginning. Um, for sure. Travis Lynholm is a minor injury. Uh, not the knee, so you can exhale there, brother. Um, Dan Mayer said that was the best segue, Maddie. The three up, three down. He said he did spell segue, I believe, correctly. Did he? Um, I think that’s correct. S eg gue. Yeah, that that is correct. It is. I think it is. Uh, and also Matthew Curtis makes a good point. uh Potra passes that puck in overtime and doesn’t shoot probably. Probably. So, yep. And that’s what we’re talking about. He’s one of the 90% that say, you know, I’m going to pass it and not shoot it. And Mitten shot at the right time with a good good shot on that. Yeah. Um All right. Look ahead. Saturday at 700 p.m. at TD Garden. The Buffalo Sabres who lost tonight four to nothing to the Rangers. Rangers scored three in the third. Uh, the Sabres did not score. Alex Tuck six shots, Paige Thompson had five shots on that, but they were shut out. And the Bruins have a chance to go to 3 and 0 to start the season.
