👍Chicago Bears Get FANTASTIC Injury News

[Music] The Chicago Bears got some great injury news today as we are three days away from Monday Night Football against the Washington Commanders. My name is Harrison Graham. We’re going to break it all down as the injury report for Friday just dropped. But before we do that, help us out. Hit that subscribe button. We just crossed 133,000 subscribers. Round of applause to all of you. You guys make this channel go. If you haven’t already, please subscribe. We are still in the middle of our subscriber battle this week with the Commanders Report as obviously the Bears play the Commanders on Monday night. And so if you want to help support the channel, help support the movement, go ahead and subscribe right now. Only one player did not practice today and that would be one Grady Jarrett as several players did return to the practice field uh today at Howis Hall. Remember this is like their Thursday. So kind of the last big big practice of the week. They’ll practice tomorrow. It’ll be lighter and then obviously uh getting ready for Monday night after that. Here was the full injury report. Uh Grady Jarrett still dealing with that knee issue. I would be surprised uh if he played at this juncture. Uh three players limited Kyler Gordon, Coloulston Lovelin, Darnell Wright from yesterday to today. And I know yesterday’s were estimates, so maybe that’s a lesson to learn that uh we looked a little too far into those, but they had practiced the two prior days. Uh today, a lot of guys out there on the practice field. Now, if I’m going to nitpick, still a little annoyed that uh Kyler Gordon is limited uh with that hamstring. Is that a sign that there is still a chance he could not play even though he was adamant that he will play? Hopefully, he’s going to be out there. Brisker certainly seems like is fine. I’m not sure what the quad deal was to go from DNP to play. And then also Kyle Manungai with uh the run game issues that this team has had. Very, very good uh to see him out there. So, a lot of positives that I want to break down a little bit more specifically here uh on today’s show. Let’s start with Darnell Wright because I think this offensive tackle situation uh is pretty interesting. I think with his elbow injury, it’s just a pain tolerance issue. Is he going to be able to play through the pain? And if he can, I still think you probably need to have him out there, right? Like to me, I understand, and I I know I’ve repeated myself and I’ll continue to say it. I understand that the random lapses in focus are frustrating. couple penalties in each of the first three games. Six and three games. It’s way too many. Uh, you know, in the second half of those games, uh, it seemed like his technique was maybe breaking down. It brought some, you know, some conditioning question marks. Okay, fair enough. Like, I I don’t know specifically about the conditioning. I do know that the penalties have been the one thing in my opinion that have held him back from being a good instead of a great player, but he’s still a good player. like he is your best and most proven offensive tackle by far. You’ve already benched Braxton Jones, your second uh guy in that pecking order. So, you’re going to go Theo Benedict and Aussie Trapillo first start. Like maybe that works really well. But to me, if Darnell Wright can play, I think you play him. Now, part of me wonders if the Bears kind of just look at this and they’re like, “Well, Darnell’s clearly not 100%. We drafted Aussie in the second round. We’re clearly going to Theo at left tackle. Let’s just see how the Theo and Aussie combination look for a week and let Darnell rest that elbow another week. Okay, fair enough. To me though, you got to play your best players if they’re ready to play. This is a big game. If you win this game, maybe vault yourself into a legitimate playoff contender status for 2025. If you lose, it doesn’t mean you have no chance of making the playoffs, but let’s face it, you knock yourself down a peg. There’s just there’s just no way around it. like this is an important game um for a lot of reasons, not just forget the story lines of, you know, trying to, you know, flush what happened last year, Jaden versus Caleb, uh all these different things. Ben losing to the Commanders uh in the NFC playoff/ forget all that. These are two teams that have playoff aspirations and that could be jockeying with one another in the wildard picture. This is an important game. having the head-to-head over Washington could end up being vital down the road. So, if Darnell Wright can play in this football game, I think you got to try and put him out there. So, it’ll be very interesting. We got one more practice to go tomorrow. We’ll see what his injury designation is then. The extra day helps before they play on Sunday. So, we’ll see. But, uh that’s where I’m at with that situation. I want to hear from you guys before we tell you about our awesome sponsor, uh Prize Picks. What would you do if Darnell Wright is healthy enough to play? Would you start him? Type Y for yes, you would or type N for no, you would not. All right, today’s show is sponsored by Prize Picks. You and I make decisions every day, but being right on prize picks can get you paid. So, don’t miss any of the excitement this season with prize picks where it’s good to be right. I just missed out on a little Thursday night lineup last night. Hit two out of my three players in my three player lineup. should have gone with the flex play which is an option with prize picks in which you can still uh up to double your money on certain lineups even if you uh miss one of your players in your prize picks lineups. The way Price Picks works is simply pick two to six player lineups and take more or less on their stat projections. Yards, uh, touchdowns, field goals, sacks, targets, receptions, rushing yards, passing yards. It’s, you know, dozens of statistics available. And that’s just football. It doesn’t count. Baseball, which is ongoing. Hockey is back. You can cross over players in your sports. Very simple. Two to six player lineups. If you hit all your players in a lineup, you win money. If you choose flex play option, you miss one, you can still make some money as well uh for this uh weekend. I got a little Monday uh lineup for you guys just within this game. Again, you don’t have to pick them all within one game, but I’ve got uh Caleb Williams more than 21 and a half rushing yards. I’ve got Roma Dunay more than 64 and a half receiving yards and a Goblin play, which are typically easier to hit. Jaden Daniels more than half passing touchdown. Chances are he’ll throw at least one. So, uh three player lineup there. Just an example of what a PricePix lineup can look like. Get started today at priceix.com/lns. Uh download the price app today. Use our code cls to get $50 in lineups once you play your first $5 lineup. That’s code cls to get $50 in lineups once you play your first $5 lineup. Price picks. It’s good to be right. Okay, let’s talk about some of these other uh injury uh notes here as we uh pull the injury report uh back up on screen for you guys. Um, okay. Coloulston Lovelin and Kyler Gordon. I assume both are going to play. It sounds like both are going to play. I mean, Kyler came out and said he’s going to play. Colston Lovelin toward told Courtney Cronin that it feels good and ready to go, but they do remain limited. So, we’ll see. I think tomorrow will probably probably provide a little bit more clarity. Safe to say TJ Edwards is back, so that should help, especially against a Commander team that uh is either first or second in the NFL in rushing. Uh they’ve been really good on the ground. Uh I also want to talk about the two guys that uh had their practice windows open this week and can be designated to return from IR and put on the 53man roster within the next three weeks. Uh of course, Austin Booker and Travis Homer. Let’s start with Austin Booker. Um obviously this pass rush, it’s well documented. It has not been good. Um, I’ve been very critical of it. Um, I actually have a video coming out talking about the defensive line as a as a whole later this weekend, so stay tuned for that. But it just has not been good enough. And if Austin Booker’s healthy, I’m activating him immediately and I’m giving him a role to see if he can provide a spark. Uh, doesn’t mean you’re going to bench Montes Sweat or even Dioangbo necessarily, but I’m giving him snaps. I’m putting him out there to see if uh, he can be a mismatch guy, if he can get after the quarterback. I think one thing he offers is he’s not just a bulky big guy. He’s got some speed coming off the edge. He does have a relentless motor. So, I think he’s a guy who could provide a bit of a different look for Dennis Allen. Now, he hasn’t practiced until this week in two months. He got injured midway through August uh in training camp when he was having a good camp and a hell of a preseason. So, um how how is he going to play right away? That’s anybody’s guess. But, you know, the expectation was for him to be a heavy rotation pass rusher this year and kind of be that third guy after Dio and and uh Montes Sweat. So, put him in that role right away because those two guys aren’t getting it done and neither is anyone else from a pass rushing standpoint. Travis Homer, I do wonder about. He is a special teamer. I don’t think he’s really going to do much in the run game. I don’t expect him to line up at running back much if at all. Uh, but if they do activate him, I do wonder who who they’re cutting or who they’re play. I don’t think there’s someone you’d place on IR unless Grady Jarrett’s injury is really bad and you put him on IR. But, you know, DeMarco Jackson could be a guy. Carl Jones Jr. who they elevate they activated a few weeks ago off the practice squad, you could cut him again. Uh, there’s a few guys on the back end of the roster that could make some sense. I do wonder too, Roshan Johnson, does it make sense to have a Travis Homer and Roshan Johnson? Like if they’re both if they both play huge roles on special teams, fine. But you’re not using Roshan as a running back. If Homer’s better on special teams, is Roshan a guy you would just cut? They seem reluctant to play him at running back. I don’t really know why. Maybe they just don’t think he’s any good. I do think Manungai is better. But um if he’s not even going to play on on offense, then it kind of feels a little redundant there. So I wonder if he’s a guy you could cut. And if you’re activating Booker, which I expect that one to happen almost no matter what this week, then um you got to cut another guy for him, too. Do you cut Tenno Passeno? Um I’m not sure. I mean, Tano has actually flashed a little bit. So, I don’t know if you’d want to go that route. Maybe Chris Williams, although with uh Grady Jarrett uh banged up right now. You might not be able to do that. So, uh some interesting decisions to make on that front with these guys uh on short-term IR. Uh, let me just double check before we sign off to see if the Commanders uh, have put out anything today on their injury report. Looks like they have not yet, but as of yesterday, Terry McLaren did not practice. Debo Samuel had what was labeled as a a heel/rest day. So, I think he’s going to be fine, but I don’t expect McLaren to play. If he practices today, maybe he’s got a shot, but uh, he was not trending in the right direction as of 24 hours ago. So, that’s kind of where things sit on the injury front, but got to practice tomorrow and then kind of just the walkthrough day on Sunday before the Bears uh head to Washington on Sunday uh to get ready for Monday Night Football. Uh that’s where things stand. If anything major develops tomorrow, we’ll have another video on the injury front tomorrow. Otherwise, we have some other pre-recorded videos that we will publish for you guys as well. All right, that’s going to do it for Chicago Bears now. Appreciate everybody for tuning in. Just got a notification. Let me make sure. Nothing on the commanders. Nope. Um, hit that subscribe button. Reminder, we’re still going to go live this Sunday since the Bears had their bye-week last week. Uh, we’re going to go live uh on two channels for the noon window. I will be live on forverts and chat sports. A little simocast red zone. If you want to check me out on my other channel, uh, forverts. Let me see if I can flash that on screen there. There it is. That’s the link. YouTube.com4verts. Uh, and then lastly, um, we’ll be live for the noon games there for a little red zone action. And then around 3, 3:15, we’ll be live here on Bears. Now, we’re going to do kind of a a Packers hate watch as they face the Bengals. Can Joe Flacco beat the Packers twice? He beat him with the Browns a few weeks ago. Bengals traded for him this week. He’s going to start. So, uh, we’ll do, uh, keep tabs on that game. But then also a big game in the NFC at that same time. The Bucks uh take on who is it? I keep forgetting who the Bucks play uh in that noon window. Let me try to pull it up, but we’ll keep tabs on that game as well. Looks like it is Buccaneers versus 49ers. So pair of 4 in one team. So we’ll monitor that game while keeping an eye on obviously the Packers and the Bengals. So, if you want to join us for that, we also have a pretty cool month-long raffle item that we’re going to debut uh on Sunday if you guys want to get in, get some raffle tickets in on that. So, be on the lookout for that. So, lots coming your way. We’re going to be here for all of it. Hit the subscribe button. Thank you guys so much for 133,000 subscribers. Enjoy your weekend and we will see you live on Sunday. [Music]
