Looking like a draft where there is a bunch of possible options at the top in terms of QB, but nobody is head and shoulders above the rest yet and that scares the living daylights out of me as a Jets fan
Literally any first round QB can come here man.
This senior qb crop doesn’t seem that strong. That said, anyone drafted would be an upgrade. I’d give Fields another game or two and then depending on his performance see what they have in Brady Cook.

I think he’ll probably stay in school for one more year, but I could definitely see the Jets drafting Arch and burning 5 years on the only bad Manning.
Simpson has been stellar this year. The only negative mark on his profile is going to be a lack of starting experience, but his game is really impressive. From a physical perspective he looks like a prototype qb, with an arm that immediately stands out and quality athleticism. He makes good reads and sets his guys up for success. Even against FSU, you could see the ball popping off his hand, and now that he’s really in the flow of it, Bama is rolling people.
Get Mac Jones and start rebuilding where we need to rebuild: DL, secondary, WR2-4, guard
We should be taking 0 QBs this one. If we have the first pick Trade it for 3 firsts and lets get some support guys. J fields is fine enough with a better D and team around him. Plus there’s a bunch of young QBs floating that can plug and play in a good team. IE look at the vikings last year.
Basically im saying lets stop trying to build QB out.

I like him, Dante Moore might not declare, that leaves us Sellers, Nussmeier, Simpson, Mateer, Mendoza, and Beck. Personally if Moore doesn’t declare I want either Sellers, Simpson, or Mateer. Mendoza’s ceiling is Jared Goff at best, he plays in a non pro style offense and is bad outside of his first read. Simpson gives me Mayfield vibes in his play style and Mateer is just white Lamar. Nussmeier could be interesting but he’s just so un-athletic and cant escape pressure. Wouldn’t surprise me if Nuss is good thi
Sellers is the top QB in this draft. You can’t teach 4.4., 6’4″, 240, huge arm, and the ability to stay healthy in the beating he takes behind that nonexistent line.
His upside is crazy. Moore is an outstanding and better prospect stat wise as well. He also runs a 4.4 and at 6’3″ is no slouch.
But with this being said:
Bain and Parker are both ridiculous edge rushers. Bain rates as better prospect than Clowney or Chase Young who were two of the greatest DE prospects in history. FWIW.
I still think this line is good enough to keep either QB upright and I would be ok with either. I don’t like Mateer or Nussmeier as much though as both are 6’1″. And Beck and Allar (lol) are massive dropoffs after that.

Dear god the definition of insanity is doing the same shit over and expecting a different result. If we finish last, you trade back and take Caleb Downs. Secondary is a problem, Cisco has been awful and this sures up the secondary. Let Fields play out his contract and figure out Qb in ‘27
