I’ve always loved Ian Happ, and his numbers are always solid… but it’s still been legitimately frustrating to watch him for stretches this year. That homer made all my “ugh, but he’ll break through eventually” moments worth it.
Can someone forward me the Ian Happ apology form?

yep. he absolutely smoked it.
was a no doubter off the bat… huge, huge HR for us. set the tone for the entire game
And did he. Fav moment of the season thus far
What i found encouraging also is that he hit the ball hard in every at bat. Didn’t seem lost at the plate like he had been.
mlb/baseball-savant for some reason don’t have metrics on happer’s home run.
but his next three AB’s were:
* 3rd inning: 102mph ev
* 5th inning: 97mph
* 7th inning: 107 mph
