Rattler is our guy

  1. Statistically, the only thing keeping him from being ~average is about 1.5 yards per attempt, and I think the reason people are “excited” about Rattler now is because of that deep ball to Shaheed. If he is a credible threat to throw a bomb two or three times per week ad complete one or two of them then (with his ability to avoid INTs and sacks) suddenly he’s “good enough” and we can start to use draft picks and (later-in-the-decade) cap space on playmakers.

I’m not holding my breath but that seems more likely than it did three weeks ago, and that’s good. He’s our guy, for now, and we should support him.

  2. Need to see him improve his accuracy in key moments. He did well to hit Shaheed last week but he’s still not great in the redzone. If he improves there I’ll be happy!
