  1. Awesome.

On an unrelated note, do you think when he hears people talking about AI he turns his head like someone called his name?

  2. My favorite player for quite a while, hell I thought he should have rapped more lol but you know what ima join you AI, I’m probably at around 7 days or so but let’s fucking make it official. Salute

  3. Man I love Iverson. Always showing love to the next gen. We need to keep showing him love to keep his legacy where it deserves to be. One of the great small guards ever!

  4. 1. We admitted we were powerless over alcohol — that our lives had become unmanageable.

    2. Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.

    3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him.

First steps of AA. Not even religious, but I saw this save my father’s life and help keep him sober for the last 30 years. I hope he stays happy and forgives himself if he stumbles.

  5. Almost 3 years myself. After about 90 days, the impact it had on my life was so profound that my brain doesn’t understand when people ask if I’ll ever drink again. There’s no negatives to living sober …

  6. Might be a little weird to say it this way, but it’s such a green flag when a former star compliments the younger generation. AI is secure with his place in history, as he should be.

  7. $800k a year for life, $32m at 55 (2030) and no obligations to Reebok was an all time move by him/his agent at the time. Guy has a lot of life left to enjoy and the means to do so probably because of that deal. Good for him getting sober as well.

  8. Good for him, but of all the people to quit.

Some dudes hit their wives, some dudes hit pedestrians.

AI would get drunk and put strippers through college.

  9. Sobriety is so hard. I made a similar pact with God: If He gives me the strength to spurn these disgusting urges, this force which lives within me to copulate with other men, if He gives me the strength to destroy this anima which resides in my innermost core and infests my dreams with thick, sweaty men, dribbling, a fine sheen on their abdominals, exerting force and power over each other man on the court, if He could do all that then I would donate all my salary to charity except what I need to survive.

Anyway, really looking forward to Sixers opening night. I got some sweet lower bowl tickets for a good price and I can’t wait to see VJ in the flesh!

  10. I can see why AI is a lot of millennial fans hero he’s really a genuine down to earth guy
