NBA LIVE! Oklahoma City Thunder vs Indiana Pacers I NBA 2K26 October 12, 2025
One thing you got to love watching is great ball movement, which is something both of these teams take pride in. It’s always fun to watch guys be unselfish with the ball and look to make each other better. Now the opening lineup for the Oklahoma City Thunder. The four and the five. The lengthy pair of Homegrren and Hardershide. Gilis Alexander runs things with Gord to his side and it’s Williams at the three. This guy is such an explosive athlete. Shay Gilders Alexander goes straight to the cup. A nice shot by Hallebertton. And once he got to the 10, I think he was surprised to find himself that wide open. I think defensively that is not the way you want to start giving up high percentage looks. That doesn’t typically end well. It It really does make the game easy for your teammates when you can lead them to the rim that well with a pass. Hallebertton passes to Siakum. Here’s Weisman. Pass to Nemo. Hands it from downtown. You can’t just stop when there’s a big setup. Got to fight over it. As a defender, you know exactly what that takes. It takes energy. It takes activity. It takes intensity. Now, here’s George outside Williams. Shot clock at six. Here’s Hartenstein. And the dunk by Harden Shine. What an excellent post entry pass. Good things happen when you make that next look. Pass to Nemo. Now here’s Wiseman. And here is Siaka. And he gets the whistle for the 3second call. Thunder have gotten their first three shots to go in for him to start off this game. To the paint and the dunk by Harden Shine. Well, that possession to me highlights the importance of creating for your teammates. And here’s Hallebertton. He’ll bring it up for the Patriots. It’s a three-point game. Pass to Emmo. Outside Matin face up the pick. Down to five on the shot clock. Inside. Here’s Weisman. And finished off by Weisman. Oh, that’s a big man move by We Wiseman. Roughing up the D with that emphatic finish. Back to Dort. Oklahoma City moving the ball around. Hardenstein passes to Gilgus Alexander over Hallebertton. It’s a big high bounce and goes in under duress of that shot clock. The ability to stay focused and understand timing and when to get it off. Shay Gildish Alexander. Yes, sir. And Rick Carile decides to call timeout. And coach has decided they need a moment to talk things over. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Pacers trail by three and the Pacers doors last season trading for Pascal Siakum to compliment this hungry team. And Kevin, it’s important in a couple of ways. First of all, he’s a two-time all-star who’s got a championship pedigree. The other part of this is Indiana is an equal opportunity offense. So they want to share the basketball, but Pascal brings individual playmaking and shot making and sometimes that’s a mustave in this league. And the dunk by home and attacking the rim. Homer making excellent use of that height inside. Outside Matan from the baseline and Hallebertton gets it to go on the assist from Matan. Hallebertton’s got his second bucket and Gilgish Alexander’s got the ball here for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Homer sets the screen for Gil Alexander wide open. Couldn’t capitalize. And I thought that was going to drop and it looks good from here. Here’s Hallebertton Eisner. It’s rebounded by Oklahoma City. Left side Williams and he uses the glass on the layup. Boy, wide open teammate. Really pretty pass by Lou Door. No hesitation there. Pacers trail by three. Pass to Seakum. Shoots over Hungry. Seiakum that’s good. What a terrific play by just a tremendous allaround player. This guy makes it look easy. And now we’ve got some time to check in from the sidelines. What do you got for us DA? Well, Kevin Rick Carlile gave me a few minutes to catch up with him. Andy knows his team has its hands full going up against Shay Gilis Alexander. Coach said she is one of the best in the league when it comes to scoring off the bounce. And when he’s not scoring, he’s kicking it out to an open teammate. So, we have to make sure our rotations are quick. Let’s see how the defense responds, Kevin. Okay, David. Thanks. Well, Pascal Seakum has the ability to play on the inside and score with that length and Gil Alexander throws it down. Gives the team such a great element having a one guard who can get to the 10. A certainly something every team wants to have. Oh, you love it. Fearless, aggressive leaving. No doubt whatsoever. Outside Dorsch. Pass to Gilg Alexander. There’s the lob to Dort and it is flushed down with a nice jam. Wow. Dor showing off that incredible strength as he takes it right to the rack for a slam. And so it’s Rick Carw here calling timeout. Wants to regroup and go over the strategy. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Matherine passes to Hallebertton. Back to Matan and stolen by Williams. One shot on the way. Kansas Alexander can’t get it to go. Pacers trail by five. Here we are sizing up GA Jaylen Williams and his shooting has got to be his biggest strength. Absolutely. He’s great at spacing the floor for his teammates with his catch and shoot abilities, but he’s equally gifted shooting off the dribble. Now over here is the rejection by Homer. Long 71 with that 76 wingspan. Homer can alter or block just about every shot in his vicinity. Here’s Williams and here’s Kilis Alexander outside. Siaka kicks to Hallebertton. Pass to Nemo. Hallebertton outside. 17 ft shot on the way. Connects. The jumper drops. Hallebertton’s got six. Well, you love to see guys willing to exploit the mid-range. If that’s what the defender concedes, go ahead and take it. Here’s Gilus Alexander and he banks in the layup. He’s got eight. And guys, they continue to put a lot of pressure on the interior defenders with their work down low. Seakum finds Hallebertton. Back to Seakum. A three ball. It’s rebounded by Hart. Boy, a wide openen shot from his favorite spot. That is one he’d like to have back. Giler against Hallebertton and two free throws coming up. Unable to get that one to go with all the contact. One guy who now seems to be a perennial MVP candidate, Shay Gilis Alexander. He is rocketing up the charts. He is Kevin. There’s no doubt about it. He can consistently put 30 on you like it’s absolutely nothing. He gives you everything else as well, including incredible leadership and great teammate skills. That’s good from Gilas Alexander. Greg, seems like we always talk about Shay Gilas Alexander’s offensive side, but when it comes to deflections and steals, his defense, he’s one of the best. Yeah, his two-way ability is sometimes overlooked in the mainstream media, but people in the know how good of a defender he is. Just Alexander hits them both. Just solid. Really one of the very best there is at the free throw line. Pass to Nemo. Shot clock at five. Indiana needs to get a shot off. It’s a two from Here and the rebound goes to the Thunder. Hartenstein’s got his fourth rebound in this one. Gildas Alexander passes to Hartinstein. Catherine against Williams. Oklahoma City moving it around outside for Gilg Alexander. It’s the three-point bomb. Gil Alexander’s got 13 points. Yeah, they they have gone full throttle from the opening tip, showing no signs of letting up. Well, you set the tempo early and when you get command and control of a game, it’s perfect. Right on the bucket. Six points for him. Well, you love the size and the length of Saka. So he’s comfortable in the painted area. Does nice work there. Double team on Gilg Alexander. Homegrren kicks to Williams. Hartenstein with the screen for Williams down low. Two free throws coming up and they call the shooting foul. Well, the ascension of Jaylen Williams Torres has been swift and very fun to watch. Oh, absolutely, Kevin. He became very quickly in his second season a number two option and frankly borderline 1A option. And it’s not just his offensive game, Kevin. This guy has become a scout defender. He’s got the perfect NBA frame and he fits in personalitywise. Indiana making some changes. Obin checked in for Weisman. E Smith comes in for Benedict Matin and Shepard subbed in for Andrew Nemhar. And then for Oklahoma City, Aaron Wiggins, he’s checked in for Homegrren. And it’s Isaiah Joe in for Dors. And so Hartenstein nails both of them. Dors, do you think the Oklahoma City Thunder has the best young core in the NBA? Well, they are absolutely loaded with talent, Kevin. Not only that, they fit together now. They’ve got a perennial MVP because Shay Gildas Alexander has inserted himself into the best player in the game conversation and rising starring Chip. Look out and they have owned the paint so far and the score reflects it. I know it’s early but you have got to like the dominance down low right now. They are playing bully basketball. There’s an aftermade shot from Shade Gilis Alexander. Here’s Joe. Gild Alexander passes to Joe. Now here’s Williams. Enem covering. Master Williams. Second chance effort. Kicks it out to Wiggins. Drops in the train. And the Thunder lead by 15. building up a big early lead. They have taken charge of this game and they’ve been doing it largely at the offensive end. If the defense does not adjust, this could be a blowout. This guy is a high flyer. I mean, especially for a power forward and he needs to be as an undersized player. Wiggins a screen on McConnell. Here’s Kilis Alexander. It’s rebounded by Indiana. And the latest now from our sideline reporter, David Aldridge. David, it’s all yours. Take it away, Kevin. Thank you. Shay Gilgis Alexander is an elite scorer. Coach Mark Dagnold said the sign of a good player is being a source of reliable offense. At the same time, he’s learned to impact the game in other ways. That’s why he’s a really good player. He’s not just a hired gun scorer. Kevin, totally agree, Da. He is a franchise cornerstone type soccer guy. We thank you for the report. Henstein can’t get it to go. Aces trail by 10 to the left wing to the inside. Shout the bucket and he’s got a free throw coming up as well. So far, both teams scorching the hits. You got to love it. Well, you love it when you can get off to a fast start offensively. You hate it though when your opponent does the same. Catching up on the changes now for Indiana Jackson. He’s checked in for Seakum and Hallebertton subbed in for TJ McConnell. And then for Oklahoma City, Williams comes out for Isaiah Hartenstein. And it’s Alex Caruso in for Jaylen Williams. The Thunder leading by seven. Here’s Gilas Alexander. Basket is good. He’ll get a chance for one more at the line. Well, Shay Gilas Alexander shows you he’s not afraid to draw contact. Now gets to the free throw line. This is his second trip to the line in this one. And in their last contest, guys, that he was unconscious from the foul line. The Pacers making a switch here. McConnell’s checked in. And that one misses. What you love about Shay Gilis Alexander is this young man’s work ethic. He is a gym rat who’s always looking for ways to improve. He just punched the ticket on that one. That’ll get the job done. Powerful two hand jam. Here’s Gilgis Alexander with the layup off target. That’s not the type of opportunity he fails to convert very often. Hallebertton no good. Now Caruso and a great assist by Kilis Alexander as that one goes in. The basket’s coming early and often in the first quarter. It’s the Thunder. They’re up by nine. Let’s take a quick break now and then it’s on to the second quarter after this. And welcome back to the second quarter of action. Plenty of basketball left to play, but this one has been one-sided so far. And what do you guys think so far about the offensive approach from the Thunder? Straight away they they’ve opened things up offensively with skillful passing, running smart plays, and just setting guys up for success. I think the other thing they’ve done a great job of is making their presence felt inside, converting tons of paint opportunities. Taking a look at the Thunder, we’ve got Williams. Isaiah Joe is out there with Gilg Alexander. Then it’s Wiggins. And it’s Caruso in at the three spot. And so Caruso will bring up the ball for the Oklahoma City Thunder. The biggest lead of the game, 15 points. Now here’s Caruso. Wiggins. That’s a screen for Caruso. Five on the clock. Outside Gilg Alexander from outside the arc rebounded by Jackson. Acers trail by nine. Now here’s McConnell. Pass to N Smith. Top screen on Caruso. Nith the pass to Tophin. Hallebertton on the wing covered by Joe Hallebertton. That’s good. It seems every season, Doris, we have players speak out on being unhappy with their roles. Well, consider Kevin that if you’re one player on a roster in the NBA, how coveted each of those spots are, but also how competitive they are. You don’t get there without that nature, which means you want to play. You love how fast Shay Gilders Alexander gets into that shooting motion. As soon as it touches his hands, it is ready to go. Now here is Hallebert. 10 points for him. Smith can’t get it to go. The Thunder lead by nine on the wing. Gilis Alexander. Second quarter play with the round two gone so far. Well, he was wide open. You wonder did he overthink it? That’s a missed opportunity. He Smith the pass to Chompin. Hallebertton kicks to Chompin to the middle. Williams with the steal. Pass to Wiggins into the lane and Wiggins throws it down. Well, if you don’t take care of the ball, fellas, that’s what can happen. Absolutely, Greg. That makes the turnover even more painful. At the end of the day though, it’s two points. Don’t hang your heads. Let’s get refocused and play with more patience. And Doris, when you look at Aaron, he is someone that is accepted readily more responsibility over time. There’s no question, Kevin. What I love is he didn’t let not playing early in his career affect his outlook. In fact, it almost added an edge and spurred him to incredible improvement. He’s an excellent defensive player. He’s worked hard to become a three-point shooter. Somebody defenses must now account for from range. And love the work put in. And Sony Smith nails both of them. And Greg, we know the Pacers have to improve defensively, but where do they start? Candidly, Kevin, I feel like they’re too soft giving up offensive rebounds, cheek fouls. They’ve got to be tougher mentally and physically, especially on the interior. And so, it’s Rick Carile here calling timeout. He’s going to have a discussion here on the sideline. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. And Hallebertton’s got the ball here for the Indiana Pacers. They trail by 11 pass to N Smith and it’s good. Two points. Smith has got four points now in the quarter. A pretty pass from Tyrese Hallebertton. You want this guy running the show. George Alexander. A screen on Hallebertton. Nobody near Williams again. Oklahoma City. I love the ball movement there. He put that on a silver platter. Just served him up. Ash to McConnell. Hallebertton on the wing. Covered by Joe. That shot off the mark. Excellent D there from Williams. It’s Joe on the wing. Still without a basket. Wiggins. A screen on Hallebertton. Here’s Gilis Alexander and foul on the shot. So he’ll get a chance at the line. Let’s remember Shay Gilis Alexander is 6’6. So getting on the interior is not a problem. He’s got free throw attempts number four and five here. That’s good from Gilgus Alexander. And some changes here for the Pacers. Wiseman comes in for Jackson. And Andrew Nehard’s subbed in for TJ McConnell. Hartinstein. He’s checked in for Oklahoma City. Tort comes in for Alex Caruso. Alexander hits them both. And when you think back to that Sabonis Hallebertton trade, Doris, it really worked out for both teams. It’s rare, Kevin, that you can talk about a quote win-win for both sides. Most trades are a little bit harder to evaluate because they involve more moving pieces. This was a straight up one to one swap with young stars and positional fits for each side. The Thunder leading by 13. Pass to Joe Weisman with the rebound. The Pacers have gone two of five from the field here in the second quarter, shooting 40% to the paint. and picked off by Weisman. And no doubt they’d love to see him get a lot more of those opportunities. And that deficit will go away quickly if he does. Greg, now here’s Gilas Alexander. He’s got 23 backed in off the glass. Gilas Alexander’s got 25 points in the game. Well, let’s remember that at 6’6, Shay Gildas Alexander can more than handle himself near the cup. Hellbertton inside the three-point line and he sinks that one hitting the back of the rim on the way in. The Thunder have gone five of eight from the floor here in the second quarter. Over 60% shooting. Joe passes to Gilas Alexander. From down in the low post it goes. 27 points for him. And this is SDA’s role. He He’s out here to score and score often. There’s a screen by Toppen. Here’s Nehard covered by Joe. Lock at six. Here’s Nehard off the mark there with the three-point shot. The Thunder lead by 13. Dort passes to Gilg Alexander. Screen by Wiggins. Gil Alexander against Alberta. Gil Alexander can’t get it to go. Now here’s Nith. It’s defended by Dorch. Hallebertton against Gilas Alexander. Hallebertton feeling it out a bit. Pass to Nemo. It’s good from long range. Near’s got six points. This is why coaches love Tyrese Hallebertton. Just plays the right way. The Thunder have gone six and 10 from the floor here in the second quarter. Wiggins passes to Dorsch. Here’s Joe. There’s the three. Nailed from three-point landing. Joe’s got himself going there. His first points of the game on the deep ball. Gil Alexander against Hallebertton. And he’s dropped by Weisman. Well, what he lacks in size for a typical center, he makes up for with all that athleticism. Boy, can he elevate. Wiggins outside. outside Dors and the Thunder another three. You can see the work Lou Dort has put in to make himself a threat from three. That’s a pretty looking shot right there. Hallebertton passes to Weisner. Now here’s Tough. Hallebertton is double hugging for Weisman. He gets it there. Here’s Nehard. Covered by Joe. A shot by Nehard. No good. And Gilgus Alexander’s got the ball here for Oklahoma City. Dort misses. Paces by 14. Hallebertton gets to Chompin. Back to Hallebertton. And he gets that one to go off the front iron. 14 points for Tyrese Hallebertton. And Mark D calls timeout. He wants to make some adjustments to the game plan. Clearly Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. And some changes here for the Pacers. has checked in for Chompin. Benedict Catherine comes in for Nith and it’s TJ McConnell in for Hallebertton. And then for Oklahoma City, Homer, he’s checked in for Aaron Wiggins. Jaylen Williams comes in for Isaiah Joe and Wallace sub in for Gilg Alexander. Dort passes to Williams. Wallace outside inside and the dunk by Homegrren. Just another day at the office for Mr. Homegrren. Pacers trail by 14. Pass to Weisman. Catherine for three. It’s rebounded by Hartinstein. Hartinstein’s got 10 rebounds here tonight. So active. It’s Dort on the wing, defended by Matarin. Dort kicks to Homegrren. Six on the shot clock. Here’s Hartinstein. And it’s McConnell with the rebound. Indiana’s gone one of three from way outside since the start of the second quarter. Outside Williams. Pass to Homegrren. Williams against Matan. Left side. Williams. They shot off that time. Matan with some nice defense. The Pacers have gone seven to 13 from the field since the start of the second. McConnell finds Weisman. Catherine with the ball. He’s guarded by Williams. The shots good from Weisman. And listen, we know Wiseman has a nice outside game, but inside there aren’t too many guys who can match up with him physically. Now here’s George. Five points in the game. Pass to Wallace. Homeman with it. A three. It’s rebounded by Indiana steps rebound number fouls for challenge and Chad Holmes has been a great player from day one. Doris, what do you like most about his game? I don’t know which aspect to pick. This guy is a great rim protector. He can shoot the basketball from three-point territory and with great range from three. But maybe my favorite is the competitive toughness he brings on a nightly basis. That one goes in. And haven’t we seen that a few times today, guys? I mean, their defense has got to have a little bit more toughness about it. Pass to Weisman now. Neard. Some nice passing here by Indiana down low. Here’s Siaka. It’s rebounded by Horton Steiner. And the way he was able to reach out towards that release had an impact. There’s no question he altered that shot. And most of the time that’s just as good as blocking it. Beautiful reverse jam right there. Use the rim to protect the ball. I think here’s McConnell following the score by Oklahoma City. Matanie good. A young guy who is ready to attack. Matan gets the ball and goes straight into his shot. Matan against Williams. front pass the arc hits it from three-point range. Williams has got five and guys getting into a nice groove here. Starting to feel it. And this is partly what the game has become, right? A matter of dueling three-point opportunities. Now, here is 10 points for him. Tried to answer back, but that three is off the mark. Here’s Williams. Pacers with the rebound. Seakum’s got his fourth rebound in this one. Over Williams. It’s the buzzer. Wow. That’s just an amazing play to get that ball off in time. Great awareness in crucial situations. Nicely done. Shay Gilgis Alexander, guys, has been on display for the Oklahoma City Thunder. He got into double digits for the quarter with 10 points total. And now let’s catch up with David Aldrich who’s standing by from the sideline. All right, Dave. Thanks very much. With Rick Carlilele, coach, what needs to happen on the defensive end to get back on track. Well, a lot of things need to get better. Uh, our level force defensively is not there. We got to pick it up. We got to play with a lot more collective force. We’ll see if you can bring the noise more as the game goes on. Thanks very much. Back to you. Thank you, David. And we’ll be back after halftime as the third quarter gets underway. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Well, we’ve got a second half of basketball for you. We think it’s going to be pretty good. A big comeback though is needed for this game to be competitive, and it probably has to happen quickly. You know, Shane Gilis Alexander has been exceptional here tonight, guys. And it’s something that isn’t his strength, but he’s done a great job of finding the open man. Well, what he did was sustain it throughout the first half. He ran the offense to absolute perfection. on the Pacers with possession here. A 12-point game. The perimeter pairing with Nemard and Matin. Seakum is out there with James Weisman. And it’s Hallebertton in at the one. So that’s the group out there for Indiana. Now here’s Goes Alexander. Pass to Homer. Hardenshine with it. Fires for three and the Thunder. and running offense through home. Great court awareness and really unselfish. Nehard with it. Hallebertton up top. It was just Alexander covering. Boy, a miss like that will drive any scorer crazy, especially with the defender giving a cushion. And about a minute of action so far in the third quarter from 11 ft away again Oklahoma City. Well, Shay Gilis Alexander that threelevel scoring ability that time working the mid-range. Right now, let’s send it over to the sidelines and get a report from David Aldridge. Kevin, the Thunder take it one step at a time. Allstar Shay Gilis Alexander says, “I think we all stay in the moment and that’s why we’ve been able to get better. Attack the day, the program in front of us. We all have the right intentions and to win at the end of the day. A bad attitude going by leaps and bounds. Thank you, David. Kil just Alexander looking around. Nifty move. That’s rebounded by Indiana. Here’s Nemo. Nice defense from George. I’ll tell you, most of the time this guy’s going to finish that. But that was tremendous defense that prohibits him from completing the play. Unwilling to let up even for a moment. That’s his killer instinct. Just fanning the flames. One thing I enjoy is watching players who don’t pay attention to the score. You lock in on the moment and play the right way. Here’s Nemo. Here’s the long range jumper. Nemo’s got nine points. Boy, Pascal Suaka much improved as a playmaker. He can score it or create shots for others. Gilis Alexander passes to Dorsch. Homer at the elbow and here’s Kilis Alexander outside. Pacers trail by 14. Over in the corner, Matan to the inside and Wiseman gets it to go on the assist for Matan. Mathan’s got his fourth assist in this one. Gil Alexander against Hallebertton. Back to Gilis Alexander. And Gilas Alexander throws it down hard and nasty. Boy, that SGA dunk was right out of the highlight reel. Here’s Hallebertton. He’s got 16 as to Weisman now. Neard on the wing. Mathin with a wide open look and out of bounds as the Thunder gain possession. We’ve gone about three and a half minutes into the third now. Outside Dortenstein. Now Williams defended by Matarin with it. Six to shoot. The basket is good off the assist from Williams. 11 points in the game. And with that threat of the outside jumper, a home run generates space for this offense. Inside, here’s Chad Homegrren with the rebound. The Thunder lead by 17. And the dunk by Kelis Alexander. Some power coming from the PG. Ah, that’s right. GA seeing more and more of that these days. back court guys you can’t elevate. We know versatility is huge in this game. Just a tremendous job finishing that play. Wow. Now here’s Williams following the miss by Pascal. Seakum Wiseman sends it back and putting in work on the defensive end. Wiseman’s slot providing a spark to his team. You got to love his hustle leaving the defense no time to react. The finish in transition nice and easy. Now here’s Homegrren. 11 points in the game. Back to Gilas Alexander. And the layup’s good off the glass. And that’s now 37 points for Shay Gilas Alexander. He’s very long. And SGA so effective around the hoop because of that length. And Rick Carile decides to call timeout. He wants to check in with his team and regroup. Heat up here. Heat up here. Hith he’s checked in for the Pacers and a switcher also for Oklahoma City has checked Pacers trail by 19. Seakum outside launches it. Offensive rebound. Hallebertton against Gilgis Alexander. Hallebertton kicks to Wiseman. Just five to shoot and he wills that one in sinking right through off the back iron. Boy, Pascal Seakum plays at his own pace able to find the open man. Wiggins finds Dort outside Williams. Wiggins passes to Hartinstein outside. Gilis Alexander over Hallebertton and Oklahoma City again with the bucket. Boy, you respect the shot selection from Shay Gilis Alexander just taking what the defense gives him. Pass to Nard. Here’s Seakum covered by Wiggins. Back to Nhard. They set the screen. Shoots over Dorsch. And again, it’s Indiana converted. Well, it doesn’t get much easier than that. Even a decent shooter is going to make that with no pressure. Outside, Dorsch. Hallebertton against Gilis Alexander. Hey, go. And he makes good on the layup. Gilas Alexander’s got 41. I mean, he’s just been brilliant today, guys. And it was the same exact story last time out. Back to Seakum out to the wing. Over Wiggins. Seaka misses and it’s Williams with the ball for Oklahoma City. Pass to Dort. outside. Williams Alexander against Hallebertton fires from 14 outside Dort. Here’s Hartenstein and a wide open look for Gilis Alexander. Tries it again. And there’s the nice layup by Hartenstein. Hartinstein’s got 13. And boy, he can see blood in the water attacking a somewhat helpless team right now. Well, you love that there’s no letup in how they’re playing. They want to dominate every aspect, including second chance points. And Rick Carile decides to call timeout, looking for a breather and maybe just one or two things to talk about. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. The Pacers making a switch here. McConnell’s checked in. Pacers trail by 21. Pass to Nemo. Seakum looking around. Ball’s not loose. It’s stolen by Kilja with Xander. And here is Williams. And Wiseman sends it back and he recovers it. And it’s going to be out of bounds. The Thunder will retain possession. And that kind of stifling effort on defense needs another look. And guys, that block could really help change the momentum of this game. Obie Toppins checked in for Weisman Williams. He’s checked in for the Thunder. Isaiah Joe comes in for Sheay Gilgis Alexander outside. Williams just five on the clock. Oklahoma City needs to get off a shot. lets it fly and again no good by Oklahoma City. Here’s Neard defended by Dor. Seakum outside. No good from outside. The Thunder leading by 21. Outside Williams floats it up for Williams. Hammers the alleyoop through. And how about the communication between teammates on that alley. And that’s what you need to pull that thing off. Now here’s McConnell defense right on him. Federer on the way. Toppin can’t get it to go. Here’s Oklahoma City. Now they’re on a 17-6 run. Williams looking over the floor. Wiggins outside. Here’s Dor off target from outside. And he didn’t punish them for the weak coverage there, but they can’t count on him to continue missing. Well, Doris, before he started playing basketball, Seiakum was on the path to priesthood. And there are a lot of GMs in the NBA saying, “Amen.” And he chose basketball. Kevin, this young man actually attended a seminary and didn’t pick up a basketball until he was 16. But even with that, he’s built himself into an allstar and a champion. An incredible journey. And a closer look here at the scoring breakdown for the Thunder. And guys, how about the unselfishness and all about working that ball around, shifting the defense, and just seeking out the best shot. I also like how they’ve played in the painted area. They’ve made an effort to work on the inside and convert those chances. Jackson, he’s checked in for the Pacers. And Oklahoma City with a change here, too. Alex Caruso, he’s checked in for Dor. And he sinks the second. And here is Siako. He’s got 12. He lobbs it up and toppling proves it. The chemistry Toppin has with his teammates. Just get up over the rim and finish it with authority. Obie Williams a screen. Here’s Caruso. The Thunder with another miss. And it didn’t fall. But that’s the kind of shot they want their offense to create. You know, it can be frustrating when you make the right play and fail to reap the rewards. You just have to stay with it here. You know, I love how he absorbs the foul and still had a chance to knock that one down. First trip to the free throw line for him in this one. He struggled mightily at the free throw line in their last game. And that one misses Greg. In January 2024, Pascal Seakum was traded out of Toronto. And he came into the league an older player from a mid- major school. The Raptors did a lot to help Seakum, turning him into an allNBA caliber player. Walkers checked in for the Pacers and he’s good on the second. I think the value of Pascal Seakum is the skill set on both ends of the floor. He can play multiple positions either end and he can lift his team in any number of ways. Williams and that one good Williams has got seven. Big miscommunication on defense. He recognizes it and quickly takes advantage. And that’s typical of this guy. He’s always reading the situation, reacting quickly, and capitalizing. And so it’s Williams who brings it up for the Oklahoma City Thunder. 106 left in the third. Here’s Caruso. Pacers with the rebound. Seakam’s got nine rebounds in the game. Getting it done. Can’t hit from in close. The Thunder leading by 21. Here’s Joe Williams for three. Gets the three-pointer to fall. He’s got 10. And they’ve got to talk to each other on D there. Miscommunication. And now he’s able to make him pay. McConnell scanning the floor. Pass to Seakkum. Kneesmith with the ball. And they’ll come right back with their own three-pointer. And an eye for an eye. Both teams working to stretch the floor. Well, that three-point shot just gives you so much room to operate on the offensive end. Now Williams, 10 points for him. Over can’t connect from 13 ft out. And as we conclude the third quarter, pretty much a blowout, it’s been a onesided affair. It’s the Thunder running away with it. Live from Cambridge Fieldhouse, you’re watching 2K Sports. And how about a look now at our assist of the game brought to you by State Farm. And he sliced the D wide open with this feed. They had no chance to prevent that basket. Well, that’s what a great pass will do, right? You love the unselfish play. And there may not be a lot of drama down the stretch as we head into the fourth quarter, but stranger things have happened. So for Oklahoma City right now, Isaiah Joe is out there with Gilis Alexander. Then it’s Alex Caruso. Then it’s Williams. And it’s Wiggins. And at the power forward position. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. First one falls And so Caruso nails both of them. Indiana’s gone past the three-point line for 13 of their shots. They’re six of 13. And now, David Aldridge has an update for us on Tyrese Hallebert. What’s the news, David? Well, guys, I was able to talk with the head athletic trainer of the Pacers. And unfortunately, it sounds pretty serious, but he’s already come back into the game. How about that, Kevin? Thanks for the status report there, David. At least we now know, Greg, how he’s doing. Yeah, when you talk injury, the unknown factor is always a difficult thing to deal with. There’s no question because even if you know what’s wrong, individuals have different healing times. The time frames can be totally different for similar injuries. Boy, the consistency he’s had tonight has been impressive. Really steady from the field. George Alexander. A screen on Hellbert. Pass to Williams. Stolen by Jackson. Here’s Nel and contact on the shot. So, he’ll be shooting free throws here. I tell you what, he earned his money on that foul. That’s good from NA. And that’s going to hit both of his shots. And here now the Thunder. Gild Alexander passes to Joe. Five to shoot. to the middle that falls. Nice feed that time from Wiggins and the Thunder lead by 20. This is what we call highly efficient play. Working off the screen, getting to the cup. Hallebertton outside. Lee Smith. The pass to Chompin outside for Hellbertton. Indiana moving it around. Pass to McConnell fires the three and it’s blocked by Gilg Alexander. Caruso the pass to Joe. Here’s Gilg Alexander. Lays it up off the glass. 45 points for Shay Gilis Alexander coming off a big game. His confidence couldn’t be higher and coach knows it. Well, the best players to me deliver night night after night after night. So, as long as he’s hot, keep riding it. Now, here’s to McConnell in the corner. From 12 ft out and the Pacers can’t get it to go. The Thunder lead by 22. Here’s Caruso. Good work there as it goes. Caruso’s got four this quarter. Getting it done on both ends and it shows up in the score. Well, what I love is the energy they’re bringing right now. They’re ignoring the scoreboard and playing hard. Now, here is Hallebertton. Fires from deep. It’s good. That takes him to 77% shooting this game. 10 for 13. Yeah, just one of those nights for Tyrese Hallebertton. He’s kept his foot on the accelerator and he’s putting it to the defense. Caruso with the ball. Kneesmith covering. It’s Joe on the wing. Here’s Gilis Alexander and the shot goes in. Gilas Alexander’s got 47 points. Really, the defense is helpless to stop a layup right there. Just too much of an advantage in terms of the mismatch. Hallebertton for three and Indiana another three. That’s the IQ of Tyrese Hallebertton and pick and roll action. Always understands how to get the defender to bite. Gil Alexander passes to Wiggins. Have to love the ball distribution. Keep everyone involved. And so it’s McConnell with it. He’ll bring it up for Indiana. Pass to Hallebertton for three. Rebound by Williams. And you don’t want to give up that kind of look too often. And here is Gilas Alexander. He’s covered by McConnell. Well, this is what you’re trying to do. Put the game away. And he hasn’t forced much tonight. I love the efficiency he’s giving to them. Now, here’s McConnell. Now here is Hallebertton. Good. And McConnell gets the assist. Hallebertton’s got 13 points here in the second half alone. Now here’s Wiggins. And there’s the whistle. Illegal screen. When a pick like that is questionable and creates that much of an advantage for the offense, you have to blow the whistle. I don’t think there’s any question there are so many rules that favor the offense these days. You’ve got to be able to equal things out when an illegal screen is set. Andrew Neard checked in for TJ McConnell. Dort, he’s checked in for Oklahoma City. And the Pacers can’t get it to go. Well, terrific defense. They obviously respect his ability and just want to make it tough. Gilg Alexander against Alberta. It’s Gilgus Alexander with the drive. And oh boy, a lot of contact there, but he gets the call and will shoot two. It’s going to be on Isaiah Jackson. Shooting two. That’s good from Gilas Alexander. Some changes for Indiana. James Wiseman, he’s checked in for Isaiah Jackson. And it’s Pascal Siaka in for Topin. And then for Oklahoma City, Hartinstein, he’s checked in for Williams. And it’s Williams in for Alex Caruso. Vilis Alexander hits them both. The Phasers have gone five of 10, 50% from the field. Seakum outside. Now here’s Wiseman. He’s defended by Hartinstein. Ghard shot is good. Now that’s a smart play by Wiseman. He’s got their offense down. He he reads his teammates movements so well. Now here’s Williams. Wiggins outside outside torch pass to Gilg Alexander uses the glass to finish the layup. Gil Alexander’s got 53. He’s carried this team to this lead on his back handling almost all the scoring duties. Wiseman finds Nesmith. Now here’s Wiseman. He’s defended by Hortonstein. Hallebertton. No good. Thunder have gotten all eight of their shots in the fourth quarter to drop. Truly remarkable. The shots good from Gilis Alexander. Well, they’re trying to establish their attack down in the paint. And make no mistake, these help their overall confidence. There’s Denise Smith. Back to Hallebertton. Six on the shot clock. Looking for Wiseman. He gets it there. Throws down the ali slam. Now Hallebertton just understands how to play and pick and roll. Pretty pass there. Now here’s Dort Mard covering and foul on the shot. He’ll shoot two at the free throw line. Free throw good. Dor, what we know about Lou Dort is this guy is an excellent defender. He’s got size, strength, versatility. You can basically throw him at the other team’s best offensive weapon night after night. The Pacers making a switch here. Mathan’s checked in. The Thunder also changing it up. Williams, he’s checked in for Hartinstein. Williams comes in for Wiggins. And it’s Alex Caruso in for Williams. All free throws good from Dor. So it’s the Pacers now. Pass to Weisman. Weisman sets a screen for Hallebertton. Kills the three-pointer. Hallebertton’s got 16 points here in the second half. Well, it’s been early in his career, but Tyrese Hallebertton has proven to be extremely dangerous from range. Caruso with the ball. Here’s Gilas Alexander. It’s rebounded by Indiana. Weisman’s got his seventh rebound of the game with that last one. Nehard finds Hallebertton. A three-pointer off the mark. The Thunder leading by 23. Dort attacking over Matan and it’s denied. Sent back by Siaka. Allebertton with it. Dor covering pass to Nemo. And here is Siaka. Allebertton outside. Just five on the clock from deep. Rebound by Williams. Williams has got his fifth rebound in this one. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. That free throw missing. A different look for Oklahoma City. Aaron Wiggins. He’s checked in for Williams. Isaiah Joe comes in for Dor. And it’s Mitchell in for Gilis Alexander. No good on the second free throw. And it’s the Pacers with the ball. And here’s Helen passed to Nemo to the paint. Seakum inside covered by Ribbons and the call on the shot that sends him to the line. You know we talk about length defensively. Seakum so long offensively trying to get a challenge on him. You are often going to put him at the line. And he makes the first. Two pitches checked in for Mitchell. No good on the second free throw. The Thunder leading by 23. Here’s Joe. That one doesn’t go. Indiana has gotten eight shots off from three-point lane and hit half of it. And the shot is good. That’s seven points here for Benedict Matan. And using that body to his advantage, Matan will learn to control his strength as he grows in the league. Now here’s Caruso. It’s tipped on the Wayne Wiggins. And it’s Matin with the rebound. The Pacer shooting an outstanding 53% for the game. Hallebertton passes to Wiseman. Back to Hallebertton. Mattherin for three. It’s rebounded by Oklahoma City. Williams has got his seventh rebound here tonight. Caruso against Matanie. Pass to Tobic. Here’s the three. Knocks down the three ball. Joe Pitch has got himself going with the triple. His first basket of the game. We’ve got 155 left in the fourth quarter. Hallebertton outside. Seems like every time Greg, we see Tyrese Hallebertton. He’s running a big smile on his face. Talk about a guy who just loves this game. Hallebertton is such an enthusiastic player and that positive attitude really infects his entire team. Two shots on the first and the first one drops. And Tyrese Hallebertton, one of the best offensive players in the league, Doris. He is so fun to watch. Kev, this young man is special. And not only because of the flare and the skill as a passer, the shot making ability. To me, it’s the joy he brings to the game and how that joy lifts his teammates around him. That’s also good. So, he hits both free throws. Tyrese Hallebertton just plays with a certain pace. He’s always looking to push the action. Kicks it out to Mitchell. 133 left in the fourth quarter. No good that time. And it’s McConnell with the ball. He’ll bring it up for the Indiana Pacers. And as we head to the final buzzer here, a crushing blowout. Big time dominance. and and this will go in the record books as a value win for Oklahoma City. What an effort in the transition game we’ve seen tonight from these guys. Really pushed the ball and I I think in in doing so create a lot of pressure on the defense. Definitely had a huge edge and this is their DNA when they run the ball and dictate the flow of the offense like we’ve seen here. These are the kinds of games they can have. And what a tremendous standout performance it was for Shay Gilas Alexander. They simply can’t stop him right now. This guy playing with passion and focus. Looking attented in for Isaiah Jackson. Pascal Seakum comes in for Tophin. Benedict Matan, he’s checked in for Niss. And Andrew Neard’s subbed in for TJ McConnell. Find the lane. Find the lane. No shot. on the free throw. No good. Pacers trail by 21. Here’s Nemo. Here’s Wiseman. Good once again. That makes him eight for nine this game. 56 seconds left in the fourth quarter of this one. Mitchell feeling it out a bit and the rebound goes to the Pacers on the wing. Matan defended by Caruso. Back to Hallebertton and that’ll be two free throws coming up. Officials on the call with the foul. Two things you love here. How confident Hallebertton is offensively. The second is not afraid to take punishment while he’s shooting the basketball. No good on that one. He hits the second from the line. They can’t really afford to leave points at the line right now. He would have loved to cash in on each of those free throws and trim the lead even more. Now here’s Mitchell. There’s the triple. It’s rebounded by N Smith. Pass to Chompin down low.
