Game Highlights: Blues 4, Flames 2
[Applause] [Music] [Applause] Opening faceoff right on that flame se at center ice. The Blues win it. It’s dumped into their own end. Pav Navish to get to the offensive zone. Realize doesn’t have any help with them. Pulls up and waits for extra. God’s going over the line. Cross back to Nasam Cadri wide open to Barab goal line. Big save and then it deflects in. The first one was touched and then right off of Tucker bounces in the Plains will get the power play goal. They get the lead. 511 to go in the first. Great pass and you’re going to see there’s one a button up a little give go play sets Naz Cadry up for the cross ice. Little tic tac toe and then you think is going to shoot this puck but you’re going to see Coronado open up set his feet right and then he’s just going to rip this puck curves. He actually shoots it wide. Up one- nothing. Sharon Govich checked to the wall. Blues clear to the line again. Kept it. Hara shot. That’s another post. Flames out of the zone in front of the benches on the far side of the ice. Have it broken up and the Blues get it to Thomas. Saucers it. Neighbors to the goal. Shoots. Score. The Blues are on the board. The game is tied and the hometown kid Jake Neighbors has the Blues square. up by Justin Faulk. He’s going to step up right there. He denies the play. Moves it up quickly. Robert Thomas. Heck of a pass right through the middle. Got assist number one on the neighbor’s goal now to Faulk. Finds Snugaroo in the near wing. Back over to Faulk. F to Snugaroo in the high slot. No look pass to Thomas. Thomas score. Robert Thomas over the left shoulder of Wolf. Power play goal. Two to one St. Louis. I miss with an unbelievable shot. But watch number 21. Watch Jimmy Snuggler. Top of your screen. Watch this pass. He’s looking. He’s going to be looking. He’s going to be looking right here. Watch. And he’s going to go right down to Thomas. He’s looking across the ice. He goes down to Thomas. That creates a little bit of separation for then Thomas to do the rest. We talked about it before the game. Wolf, we referenced it. We talked about everyone knows that Jimmy Snugaroo’s shot, but his passing is pretty elite. Flames get a chance on their own. Coronado and they score. Are they tied it up? He snaps it in glove side on Her. Quick answer by Calvary on a rush up the ice. 22 in Calgary. Both have come off the body of Tyler Tucker. This clear right here by the Calgary Flames. It goes off of Tucker. I believe it was his skate. Fumbled puck up the wall. Fowler skates backwards right back to Kyrie on the man advantage. Here’s a shot. Rebounds there. Neighbors is loose. The puck is in front. A body pile in the middle of the crease. And eventually the puck covered up by the Flames goender Fowler and it’s going to get through. Wolf makes the save. Jake Neighbors looks to tuck in his second of the game. Wol’s going to come back with the paddle. Make the save and then it just can’t. You got Pew Sud. You got Jake Neighbors. Everyone just spear in there like a bunch of fish trying to get something on it. What a dandy of a save right there. Pew Sudter can’t poke it in with the backhand. Holloway’s right there as well. Unbelievable. Joel Han getting to the front of the net to pay the price. Pareo score. Colton Pero on a slap shot. That puck was deflected right in front of the net. It might have been Jake with his second of the game. It was. And the Blues have taken a 3-2 lead. All off a big faceoff win by Thomas. Now here’s your Bobbyo Robo Cam. It’s a win that goes to Fowler. Fowler is going to tee up Colton Pereo. Look at where Jake Neighbors goes. He’s at the faceoff circle. He goes right to the front of the net and he plants himself there. Opens up his backhand and gets it right on the backhand side. You know how much flexibility that takes to twist around your body and stick out your backhand there. Here’s Tucker again now looking up ice. Tucker had a fight earlier in the game as he fought Lombberg into the middle. Walker to Tucker and Joseph and Joseph gets drilled. He paid the price. He scores. Tucker a slap shot from the left point after Joseph created the traffic in front. Tipped goal by the St. Louis Blues in his period. Here’s a turnover. Matthew Joseph crashed the net. He pays a price. He gets there. He gets laid out. Pew Sudter is is in the exact same spot where Jake Neighbors was when he got his tip goal. It’s no secret. Pretty simple hockey game. Gets in the front. Good things are going to happen. Heck of a play by Walker to find Tucker. Tucker lights it up. A big night by Hoffer and you can bring out the Zamboni. The Blues beat the Flames four-2. Joe Hoffer was a monster. Your Hyundai player of the game is Jake Neighbors. Two goals, three shots.
The St. Louis Blues earned their first points of the 2025-26 season on Oct. 11 with a 4-2 win on the road over the Calgary Flames and goals by Jake Neighbours, Robert Thomas, and Pius Suter.

Man, Blue Ballers were 1 clanging goal post away from giving up 7 straight without scoring! They must take advantage of their home schedule and get off to good if not great start. You guys/gals know these early games mean even more than later ones.
GO BLUES!
Let's Go Blues!

Hometown Kid, Jake Neighbors, gets the first Blues goal of 2025-26. Surprise, surprise, surprise, gah-ah-ah-lee! (Pardon me, I'm old, and if you need reference, just Google Gomer Pyle USMC catch phrases, and/or Jim Neighbors. Thanks)
Long live the note 🎼🎺
