Chicago Cubs vs Milwaukee Brewers – GAME 5 FULL HIGHLIGHTS | October 11, 2025 MLB Playoffs
This is what October baseball is all about. Both managers want these relievers to throw up a zero. They’re sick of all the runs in the first inning unless it’s their side. Strap in. Game five underway with a strike and a knuckle curve from McIll. Michael Bush four homers this postseason and he hits a fly ball to right, but this is shallow. S Freelick charges in and makes the catch for the first down. One, two. And Horner sticks the bat head out there. Freelick comes on to make the catch. Got him. And he pulls this one deep to left center. way back and gone. The Brewers strike first in game five. It was a sensational summer for the Miz. Jacob Miserowski who has now become a bullpen arm providing bulk relief for the Milwaukee Brewers lead one- nothing. And we’ll see how much they ask of this young man. Well, he gave them three innings in game two, three scoreless innings. They’d love to see the same thing here. There’s a fly ball to right center from Sea Suzuki. Way back and gone. Tie game punch. Counter punch. Chicago has tied it with one swing. Suzuki was the National League player of the week in the last week of the season. He has taken that red hot and brought it right to the postseason. Second pitch chopper weekly hit third base side. Durban fields throws. Got him. Boy, that was a good play by Durban. came in on this so fast, but look at how he gets rid of the ball so quickly. Tucker grounds one to the right side and Teran makes the flip through for two and a half and a tie game here in game five. Cheerio hard ground ball. Corner is there. Hips to Swanson for one. The return to first is in time for the double play. Well, ball hit right on the nose. Nice toss by her. Swanson gets over the base runner Ortiz who was coming in and Cheurios compromised by that hamstring. Usually beats that out. Not this time. Brewers without Brandon Woodruff. Just 26 combined innings from the two team starters. Terra strikes out. Three innings in the books in game five and make every single pitch the best pitch I’ve ever thrown. But growing up, this is what you work for these moments. He gets half to go around and Kelly lines one to right. It stays up there for Freelick. A one, two, three, fourth. One, two, three, fourth. And Fawn with a try left field. Pretty deep. This ball is gone. Andrew Vaughn has vaulted the Brewers into the lead in game five. Two after Suzuki had answered with a three-run home run in the top of the first. Grounded up the middle. A roller. Swanson has to hurry. Freelick beats it out. have now 19 hits up the middle from Durban and it’ll get down for a hit in front of Crow Armstrong. It bounces away and Freelick gets to third. The throw skips away from second. Caleb Durban was caught in no man’s land between first and second with a ball coming into the infield. The Perkins and if he walks him, Palencia is in the game. One-two pitch with two outs and the base is loaded. Ortiz a ground ball is short. Swanson gobbles it up. Goes the short way. A closer play than it appeared as Perkins dives in but he is retired as are the Brewers and he strikes. Wildard playin game in 2019. Last year’s heartbreak in the wildard round. Swanson with a ground ball to Shorts and Vaughn makes the pick for the second out. Another payoff and Shaw with a flare to right. Freelick is there. Jacob Mizerowski. Conurus. A bullet up the middle. Caught by Her throw to first in time to double up Cheerio. Payoff pitch and he strikes out Tucker. Two- two. Suzuki ropes one to left, sending Cheerio back, but he has a beat on it and he makes the catch on the warning track. Both runners stay put. Patrick comes right down. Fouled off by Hap. Another two- two called strike three on the outside corner. Patrick gets out of the jam. And Yellic is banned on three pitches. There goes the runner from first. No throw. They didn’t even notice him. Well, even once he noticed them, he didn’t spin around. And and Perkins with a popup in the infield. Who wants it? Everybody converging. Who makes the call? BCH and Kitridge both came together. Busch makes the catch. Two-2 swing and a miss. Strike three. Two-2. And it’s a fly ball to center. Perkins camps out underneath it. Two gone. One-two pitch. Got him. Seventh pitch of the at bat for Ortiz. And he smacks one up the middle. Will it stay up there? No. PCA with a diving catch. Rewind that one and hang on to it. Terang the battle and Terra drives one center field way back there. Gone. Bryce Terang his biggest swing as a Brewer. A huge homer in the seventh. And Contrarus with a drive to left that will stay in the ar this time. A call up late from the Cubs and Bayas pops this up left field and shallow. Cheerio is there. Horner smokes one to third. It’s caught on the line by Durban. Two gone in the eighth. And he grounds one the right side. Terrain is there. And we head to the bottom of the eighth. Yell bounding ball right side. One gone. Vaughn grounds one to short. to go for the Brewers in the eighth as Freelick lines one to center and as Brewers are three outs away from reaching the NLCS. We head to the ninth of how this series has transpired as Suzuki flies one to left. Churiel underneath it, one gone. Aribe’s one two and Hap pokes this to right. Freelick makes the catch. Comes down to their foul out. Carson Kelly grounded to short. Ortiz makes the play. Ball game over. The Brewers will play for the pennants.

Remember when PCA was an MVP candidate?
Bye bye Cubbies 😂😂
That's one of the quietest crowd reactions I've heard for winning a series 😂
I assume Jed will have surgery to repair the thumbs he twiddled during the trade deadline.
I got an early Christmas present it seems. Ding dong the cubs be done.
Phoenix Suns fan here. Ggs Brewers. I hope you guys win your first WS. Brewers fans deserve it. You guys have looked incredible pretty much all year long. Good luck the rest of the way.
Quite the different game from yesterday's 15 inning game. I believe all runs that were scored in this games were from solo homeruns. That was something the other game didn't have, homeruns.
I'm liking how the playoffs have gone, other than the Phillies not getting in. For the NLCS I hope the Brewers can take it. For the ALCD either the Blue Jays or the Mariners can win and I would be happy. As a Canadian I feel I should cheer for the Jays, but the Mariners have never even been to a WS so for them and their fans I wish them all the best, 🤞.
Good luck to each of the teams in their leagues championship round, except Dodgers. Sorry Dodger but you won it last year, time for a new champion. 🇨🇦
so head to head Brewers were 6-0 against Dodgers, they better play better than they did against Cubs
Barack Obama here. Thank you Brewers for eliminating the Cubs.
Good to see Milwaukee advance.

Love watching Miz celebrate. Let's go!

I would like to thank Craig Counsell for doing the Brewers and their fans a huge favor by leaving town. Long live the Pocket Pancake
Norm MacDonald fan here. Congrats to the Brewers! Looking forward to a fun series with the Dode-yers.
Thank you Milwaukee
You can hear them turn the volume down at 3:54 lmao. League hates to see a small market succeed
No matter who wins, let’s give props for the Brewers showing out.
Cubs need to fire the pitching coach, he doesn’t get the pitchers ready for the game how many first inning runs did the cubs give up all season.
Good game, 4 runs made by 4 home runs
Well done, Brewers! Let's have Brewers and Mariners in the World Series!👌
