Field goes 40 of 86 for 46% for the Spurs. 31 of 81 for 45% for the Heat. Three-point percentage 13 of 36 for 36% for the Spurs. Uh 10 of 29 for 34% for the Heat. Free throws 19 to 27 for 70% for the Spurs. 23 of 30 for 76% for the Heat. Rebounds King 49 rebounds for the Spurs. the Heat 36. Offensive rebounds, Spurs won that, too. 16-8. And then also defensive rebounds, they won 33- 28. All right, King. Well, let us know, man, what’s on your mind, man? What you take away from this game today? Um, Miamiy’s not that good. Uh, we’ll see what happens in the regular season and all of that, but Miami is not that good. Aside for the technical difficulties, y um but yeah, they’re not the greatest. Um San Antonio, I know they played against um an overseas team led by Victor Olado, I think a couple days ago, and they beat them, but I don’t know. I felt a little differently about San Antonio after this game, watching them so far. But this is a preseason game again. Um little things. Uh Victor, I mean about Olipo. Wimbeayyama. I didn’t feel like he really dominated the game as far as offensively. He did his thing defensively and passing the ball. I thought he made some excellent passes actually, but as far as uh offensively, I feel like most of his scoring was led by other folks really. Um that’s really what I want him to get or um get to to get to the next level. I feel like for him is get a go-to move, find some way to even stay in the post, get a go-to move. Uh he has to figure out that to get to the next level. But as far as this game, um his offense look still, you know, hit or miss. Um still a big guy that can shoot and all that, do some things. Uh separate himself, especially on the pick and roll. Uh if he gets in front of you, it’s easy pass. They did it a couple times or one time at least for Alioop. But um yeah, I think overall I mean San Antonio could have won this. Miami could have won this. Uh but really I was more disappointed even though Miami took the L there and three. San Antonio’s two and0 in the preseason from watching them really for the first time. I was more kind of disappointed in San Antonio because we talked about San Antonio taking another step or trying to take another step and um it just didn’t look like they were as dominant as they should have been. So yeah, that’s my overall takeaway. I don’t know if you back here yet, bro. Are you good? Yeah. Can you hear me? Yeah, I can hear you. I can’t see you, but I can hear you. Yeah. I don’t I don’t know what’s going on, man. My complet My camera just completely went up and it’s not picking back up. Uh I can still talk while I guess I’m trying to figure this out. Um listen, this game, like I said before, uh preeason for me is not like the end all be all. There we go. Yeah, I don’t know what’s going on. It just completely went out. Uh this this this preseason is not the end all be all for me. I I told folks that before. I like to take certain elements from it to kind of see if that type of stuff could translate over to the regular season. Um the fact that um there was well there’s a few other starters for the Spurs that were out, right? We had u what was it? Uh Darren uh Darren Fox. Uh Harper was out. He’s going to be in the rotation. Um Kelly Olen was out. He’s going to be in a rotation. Uh let me see who else. Let me see if I can find somebody else down here cuz I think what’s another one named I L Cornet actually played um there was a few other people. No, Vasel. No. Uh who am I thinking of? Harper. Harper. Um Fox and Oolen, right? Somebody else, bro. I’m blanking right now, but that might be the only ones. Okay, I guess that is it. I don’t know why I thought it was one more person, but uh anyway. Yes. So those guys didn’t play. Uh Rico was well I know a lot of people I know Spurs fans for sure are hoping to see Fox and Harper play together. Of course you know Fox got hurt so uh or did he just have surgery? One of the two so he’s still trying to recover from whatever it is he had. Uh I think Harper is uh a little banged up. I think they’re going to kind of sit him and probably play him on the next game. Uh we saw Wimby today. Um listen there’s a few guys on that team that kind of stood out to me today man. Uh uh Champagne man that that dude he would have definitely fit perfect in like the Spurs back in the day like saying around like 2013 2014 he one of them type of Spurs guys. Him Lucette them them kind of guys are the kind of guys who would have fit perfect for them 2014 Spurs man. So they just the type of guys who don’t make a lot of mistakes. They fit perfect within the system and they’re going to do exactly what you need them to do and they’re going to do it very efficiently. Right. So, that’s what I kind of took from them today. Uh, one guy who’s who stood out to me today, too, was Kelvin Johnson, man. Um, I don’t think Kell’s going to be a starter when the full roster is coming back. He would be I think he’ll be a great sixman because he’s aggressive and he stays attacking the defense, man. They need somebody like that, man, that can be a guy who can kind of put pressure on the defense if things kind of fall apart. And he showed that today. Um, the one thing I kind of that kind of got to me today with uh was Wimby. I know Wimby’s kind of been out here like, you know, working with a lot of these legends like the Garnettes and the and the Elijah Wes of the world. The one thing I kind of I I don’t know I don’t know if it’s the Spurs fault or this is kind of his fault, but sometimes I feel like he’s not aggressive enough and and kind of passive a little bit, right? Like I I always kind of was wondering like, you know, when’s he going to take that next step? I’m not saying he gonna be out there and be, you know, you know, Will Chamberlain already. Yeah. Already. Yeah. You know, I know you got to kind of work up to through to that because him coming into the league, he was expected to be a dominant defender, right? So, I was kind of wonder watching the game like why I feel like he’s kind of passive and I’m kind of wondering why the Spurs, if this supposed to be your your lead horse, your your franchise guy, why aren’t y’all playing more through him, right? And I feel like when they don’t play through him, he tries to create for himself. He does a lot of breaking down the top of the key and stuff like that to get his own buckets because people aren’t setting him up correctly. And I’m kind of wondering why they kind of aren’t working on that. It’s been what, three years now? Yeah, it’s his third year. I don’t know if you um heard me earlier. You might have left off, but I was mainly talking about him as far as we talk about the next level that he got to take as far as his game when he talk about him being one of the best and you know, maybe the best player in the league and all that. And I felt like his offense today was basically dictated by his guards, which is not a bad thing as far as getting a bad thing getting easy buckets, you feel me? Like, but for him to be that dude, you got to be able to get your own bucket. So, I was saying he got to find a way to either get a signature shot or dominant in the post, you feel me? I was about to say that if if he working with a Keem Elijah one, it you can’t tell me a Keem wasn’t teaching you something to where you you’re able to operate anywhere from seven to 10 feet. Yeah. And that’s probably down though. You feel me? He got his training, whatever is done. I doubt I came with him now like chilling. You feel what I’m saying? So, I mean, it’s only one game. It’s only the second preseason game they played, but I did really noticed that his offensive game didn’t look like it took that level supposed to be and it’s still a preseason game and all that, but you know, they were showing them last game bumping dudes in the paint on the like doing like a Giannis from end to end and then dunking and all that stuff. And I’m like, “Okay, so let me see that one being.” And I was watching him today and guys were still getting up under him and it was like, you feel me? It was difficult for him to to find that shot at that point. So he has to find a signature like guys are always at his legs and all, bro. He got to find some type of signature way offensively because it’s not going to always just be easy buckets and you’re not always gonna play with a great point guard. You don’t have that guy on your team yet. You feel me? Like you don’t have a guy that’s gonna get you the 10 assists. So, he got to find something. I I left the game. I told you I felt like this. I felt worse about the Spurs that I already knew the Heat was trash, you feel me? The Heat just going through whatever they trying to figure out what they going to do in general with Miami. Uh but San Antonio, I didn’t feel like they like and that’s mainly because of Wimi and like I said, I don’t know. It’s just first preseason game, but I didn’t get that dominance or that next level being the third year for Victor Wimbyama and all that stuff. his offensive game out of this one game. He maybe just holding on to things and not going to show it to the regular season or further down the line and they played into the third quarter. So yeah, I don’t know. He still looked like WBY from from year one. Not no disrespect offensively. And that and that’s what I’ve been kind of waiting on him for him to take that next step. Listen, we saw it before cuz we saw I remember I don’t know if you remember that game when he played the Mavs in that fourth quarter. He just went crazy and was kind of demanding the ball, clamping the hands, give me the ball, let the offense go through me. And like we we seen those flashes of where he’s showing that he can do that. But I just feel like he defers a little too much. And if you talking about him being the guy, you’re going to go only as far as he leads you if he’s your guy, right? So you got to figure out a way to try to, you know, uh, work the offense or whatever, man, to to to go through him. Like I feel like too he was kind of I see a little bit of him being a a little bit more of a playmaker. That’s opportunity for him to have the ball in his hands more. You know what I’m saying? Especially from the center position. Um I don’t know if they’re going to um play him and Cornette together. I think they’re going to probably have him backing up, but they probably play him more at the five. But yeah, like I just I just want to see him be a little bit more aggressive, man. Cuz I know you worked with Hakee Elijah one and he lo one was there was not a a passive bone in that man’s body. You know what I’m saying? So, no, I know this is just like I say, first preseason game, first preseason game of his third year, but is he looking better than Ralph Samson yet? Not yet. That’s what that’s what I’m going with. You feel what I’m saying? Like Ralph Samson at this point, and that’s not to say he can’t be. Ralph Samson was the youngsters. Yeah. And Ralph Samson, his issue wasn’t that he wasn’t a good player. He couldn’t stay healthy. That was it. Yeah. But once he saw it, once he got a little older, a couple years, I think it was like maybe 50 or something like that, he his his knees went out with him and Elijahan and all that and then they couldn’t stay with him and Elijah. They couldn’t work there and then he got traded I think the Golden State or something like that and it was just that was it. Downhill from there. Yeah, cuz remember too he was like he was like 7’4. Yeah, be 75. 75. Exactly. So um yeah, I I just I don’t know. I feel like they probably need another piece. No disrespect to Dear Fox. I just don’t I don’t think he’s at peace. Wim gota take another step offensively, bro. It is what it is. Like for Wimi to get the way they hype Wimby and the way Wimy’s supposed to be. He has to take a step offensively, bro. You can’t just do this defensively and be okay. You’re not you’re not Anthony Davis. You feel me? Like, and not even saying Anthony Davis because Anthony Davis, I guess. I don’t know. But you you supposed to be one of them guys. cuz you supposed to be a guy like we got to get you to 30 points at some point in your career. You feel me? A guy that can get you that and all that. Like you supposed to be dominant. So I was going to ask you I was going to ask you about that defense cuz you know we told you know what I’m saying when supposed to be this generational defender right now. I’mma give you an example. You see how Rudy Goar he impacts the defense for uh for like say Utah, right? Like Utah was no top five defense before, you know, without Rudy Ober. You put him in there, they top five, top 10 or whatever, right? Are when are we going to see that type of impact out of Wimby where his defense him you just put him on the team and all of a sudden the whole entire dynamic of the team defense just completely changes? Now remember I kept saying this to like other people and all on the show that watch the show and they were like Wimby should be the defensive play of the year already and all. I’m like but you got to impact winning that type of stuff. defense like you got to show me more as far as an impact to get it. I can’t We can say we want about Rudy Gober. He impacts that. You can win games with defense. Yes. You feel you you can win games with defense. So if you’re that great defensively, you should be winning games and impacting games and playing enough, being available enough where you can change games defensively. This is what I’m learning. And again, this is not to label him for his career, but this is just what I’m I’m paying attention to what I’m seeing. Hey, this is the third year, but go ahead. his third year. That’s what I’m saying. We getting to a point. It’s starting next year be fourth year. I’m just at the beginning. It’s still preseason. He can still do different things this year. His one-on-one defense ain’t that good. And and his one-on-one defense not the best. Like I’m letting you say that. That’s why I asked the question. He he played a bunch of free safety especially tonight like roaming under the rim and just standing under the rim and doing stuff like that. dudes were giving him the business one-on-one. Norman Pow and all that stuff with moves and fakes and all that. Like his one-on-one defense, it’s just movement, bro. It’s too much length and all that, but his help defense going to be unstoppable. Like, he’s running one-on-one and you got guys on either side, it’s going to be difficult to score on him. But when you bring him out on the island, he ain’t he ain’t that dude. He ain’t defensive player of the year. Like, I’m not from looking at this game, I don’t even see him as defensive play of the year lock. And it’s not for me. It’s not just this game. It’s nothing nothing changing. You feel me? This is just on top of whatever we’ve been seeing. You know what I’m saying? So yeah, you’re expecting I don’t know if it’s because of the blood clock or whatever it was because we’ve been seeing the videos of him out, you know, with the monks doing the whole thing this summer and all with the Dunks and the people KG all that stuff. But and it’s just like I said, it’s just the beginning. I’m going to see more games. Is he going to have awesome games where he dropped 40 and all that nonsense? I know that’s what happened. It happened already, but it’s looking he’s still looking like the same Wim. Yeah, it’s not I’m not seeing that. Oh my god, this is that’s what’s happened right there. It’s still looking like Wimby. And this was like I say one team. Maybe it’s a bad situation. Maybe they weren’t planning on doing the special things or different things, but I when I saw Wimby out there today, I saw rookie of the year Victor Wimbeyama still. Yeah. And that’s why I got no different step when they said he worked with oh Keem Elijah one I was like okay let’s see what he picked up cuz you know Keem can definitely show you cuz I think you just said a minute ago you got to have some type of a a go-to move or a counter move. That go-to move don’t work. You got to counter move. It’s that move where it’s like oh man he he fa to go to his spot or whatever or oh man he’s putting himself in a position to to do his signature whatever right? Like we don’t we what we don’t know what that is yet. Yeah. And he is he is I think he’s too tall to work with a king because the king was what 611 7 feet like right at that technically 61. Really? That’s what I’m saying. I think 61 game seven but yeah I think the um excuse me I think Wimby can’t move like a king cuz he because he’s too long. Pause. Which is why I was saying he needs to he needs to operate more between now. I’m not saying don’t shoot ever shoot threes or nothing because that’s how the NBA is today. But I was I was saying he need to operate anywhere between seven to 10 ft. Like he had that one play where they had him in the post. I think he was about 7 feet out. They hit him with the uh in the in the post. He was one dribble spin off pull up. You know what I’m saying? It’s like, okay, you could do stuff like that. And then he he did the same thing again on the left side where they they posted him up and he spun and he went in for the dunk. It’s like, see what I’m saying? Kind like remember how Dirk was doing kind of started slowing down. He’s like, “Yo, let me operate between the this perimeter right here. So if I can if I the guy’s, you know, slow, I can go around him with one dribble or the guy small, pull up over him and he missed that his second season. You feel what I’m saying? My the thing with with Vic is there’s he’s he’s such an alien that there’s nobody else that can teach him what to do because there’s never been a great like him other than a Ralph Samson. if he can get Ralph Samson to go play with him or something like that. Teach him some things like there’s nobody like Hakee is Hakee isn’t Ralph Samson. It was Hakee and Ralph Samson. You feel what I’m saying? Like Hakee isn’t like Wimby. They’re they’re different. So I don’t know. Should he go like learn from like a Dirk or something like that like you were saying earlier? Would that be like But then you really went closer than Dirk. Tell you the truth. What I was about to say. Um, you said the the learning thing. I was about to say something to that. Somebody Somebody going to teach him. Um, oh, no. Okay. That’s what I was going to say. When you said you was comparing him to Hakee, you’re right. Hakee is quicker. Remember, Hakee moves like a guard. Now, technically, he he’s a little bit more fluent for a guy who’s 75, but like you said, he’s not as quick. He know he don’t Listen, Hakee might have the best footwork for a center of all time, bro. Wimby is quick for a 75 guy. He’s not quick though. Yeah. I was saying, you feel what I’m saying? Like he was quick and quick for a seven. Yeah. Like he was just a quick guy. Like was just woo make the moves and all. Wimby is quick for a guy his size. Kind of like when we talk about the shooters and all like probably wasn’t moving like that. You know what I’m saying? Y mean wasn’t moving like that. KP is a great shooter for his size. He’s not the one of the greatest shooters though. Nowhere near. Facts. So yeah, but uh that’s my thing. But Wimpy got to take they got to find out, bro. They got to find a way to Let me ask you about the new coach and all because I asked Big Jay and he gave me his answer. I’ll tell you afterwards, though. Their coach I heard already said. I already said Okay. Is How do you feel? Is he already on the um does he have to make play this year? Well Oh, well yeah, I think they could I think Well, see, listen. A lot of people are picking them to make the playoffs. That’s what I’m saying. The way it looks, but do it have to do it have to does he have to make the play end this year? I don’t I don’t think he has to. I mean, as far as he has to, but doesn’t have to. You know what I’m saying? Like, if he doesn’t make it, he’s not getting fired. That’s what you’re asking. No, if he doesn’t make it, he’s on the high seat next year. Uh, it’s going to depend cuz I think they still look like a young team that’s still trying to figure it out. To me, I still I still say this now. Uh, you know, you got to take the best player available in the draft. I think that’s that’s a given, right? Harper was the second behind uh Cooper Flag, right? But I feel like you got too many players that are alike too many players who going to need to be effective with the ball in their hands. And you got you know what I’m saying? Like cuz listen, Basel mean Bassel is is still I feel like he’s Where was he at today? Remember a couple years ago this dude was aggressive. He was looking like somebody he was a piece that they did not want to trade, right? And now he’s kind of like a guy who’s kind of starting to become an afterthought. It’s like, yo, when you have these guys not playing, this is when you supposed to do your, you know, step up and be aggressive and and show what you can do or whatever. They have they’re at the guard position the same way uh New Orleans is at the wing position. Yeah. It’s like just it’s just too many of the same guys or the same type of guys doing the same thing. He just keeps adding on. But my thing is, what was it what was the rumor they was going to trade uh remember they going to trade De’Aran Fox? Remember that rumor that was going around? Yeah, that’s what they they still might they need to they need well they need to trade somebody like they got they need to trade more than one. They need to try like two guards tell you the truth. They have too many of them. But I mean Giannis might still be available and all. We’ll see what happen at that point. But I don’t know, bro. It’s just I’m I’m thinking about it as as Wimby and Wimi being that dude and all that stuff and being a generational guy and all that stuff. I’m just like we’re year three. I know circumstances happen and all, but some point to be that dude, you got to start making the playoffs. So, this this is when you this is when you really start getting critiqued when you’re in year three. Like you said, we supposed to be that guy. Year three, we this is when we gonna really make the playoffs at this point. But I’m going to, like I’m saying, I’m giving him the play in as far as the coach and all that stuff. But like if Wim is that guy, real talk, bro, how how long we going to wait until he makes the playoffs to be like cuz look, they still got to off they still got a trade deadline, too, to kind of get this right. I still think the Spurs probably need one more move. What that move is that’s all I’m Yes. No, no, no. I% agree. He should affect the team. I% agree. Yes. at year three, he should affect the team on offense and defense enough where they’re making their playoffs or playing at least. Yes. If he if he stays healthy and on the floor, he should they should make the play and if they don’t, it’s a failure. Facts. I agree with that. Like at least minimum, it’s a failure. I’m I’m going to put this this is going to start a a hitch on uh Now, you know what’s going to end up happen? It’s going to take a hit on him, his reputation as far as uh his pecking order in the league. It gonna take a hit on that as it should because they already ranking him in the top 10 already in the league, right? You feel me? Like off of pure ability. Yeah. They went from pure ability because second year he basically kind of missed it. So they still raised him up, you feel me? So if they expecting that he had a third year like he he gota he gotta you got to take your team, bro. That’s you got to the greats, bro. You if he one of them greats got to take his team to the playoffs and [ __ ] Facts, bro. Uh but what with uh Miami, let me tell you something, man. I told you about this dude last year, man. Everybody laughed at me and said, “Shut up. Get out the show.” Khalo where I need to start, bro. What you mean? Told you got out the show. We was watching the dad going uh what was that summer league together and all with my brother and with Travis? Tell them about that game. Uh no, I I remember what was it crossover or something. I was told shut up and get off the show when I brought a clear wear and I said, “Hey, I’m” I said, “I only seen one summer league game and I’m already sold.” Mhm. This dude, this dude going to be nice, man. Um, what is Bam a center? No, I mean, what what is he now? Is he Is he what he is he what he is now? Yes. So, here’s the thing. Bam not a number one. Bane probably number three at the most on the team. Yes. Like he’s a he’s a good center. He’s gonna get you what he gets you. He’s a Draymond type of per player. More than that. It depend on what you’re looking for. He he can score more than that. He can be looked at. Well, no, no. I’m talking about his impact. He’s supposed to be that that Draymond Draymondish. You still need players. Yeah. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. But he can be a quality like center for you or whatever you need him to be and all that. But I just think Miami is just stuck at a point where they may not make the play in. They like playing or may not make the play in. So why not just get off of B man Tyler Herro move forward. You got where you feel me? Uh younger guys. You got Hammy and both of those guys playing into the fourth quarter and all that. What you mean? You know what I was told? No one pal put them over the top. That’s what I was told. What you mean? Uh listen. Um, I I was watching this this team and I was thinking to myself, is Miami fixated on a system or do they really want to try to get players to build around Miami? Because I the reason why I’m asking this, okay, go ahead. Because Jaime should be a little bit more of a focal point of how the offense is ran. I’ve been I’ve been telling you that for a while. They’ve been trying. feel like he was kind of Yep. They trying to back on his first year looked like Jame was about to beat somebody. Yep. So when I seen that and then on top of that the fact that Clear Well is not starting I’m like is this a more of a system team? Like they feel like oh our system is going to be the the driving force of the team or they feel like yo we developing these players to be our cornerstones or whatever bro and let them you know be the driving force. Like I don’t I don’t know what they’re trying to do. So I know exactly what it is, bro. We need to fire Pat rally. I’m sorry. Not fire and forcing to retire. I’m saying the five. That’s done. Trying trying to trying to uh anger Dan Laborator, I guess. I guess, but get I mean, no, it’s not going to anger him in the long run. It’s going to help the team out. Get Pat Rally out of there, bro. That whole Pat Rally mindset and all that. Get that’s done. You got I was I was sitting there. I was watching that, bro. I’m like I was just sitting like I said, we we watching the games and stuff. Now, like I said, I like this uh how we doing the post game for the different teams. And now you can kind of kind of take a take a step back and look at these teams from, you know, uh you know, objective eye or whatever. So, it’s like I’m looking. I’m like, yo, it looked like something’s in there, but it’s like, well, what what are you trying to do? You know what I’m saying? I I don’t want to say Pat rally not to say luck into the championships. That’s the wrong words to say. It didn’t It wasn’t that difficult for him to win them championships, though. All right. Shaq wanted to leave LA, right? Mhm. Shaq wasn’t in that crazy shape and all. That’s why Shaq ain’t stay long. You feel me? Like with Miami cuz but he got Shaq with Dwayne Wade. Okay. Shaq’s son left in the tank to go win a championship. You got Chris Bosch and Dwayne Wade. I mean LeBron James to come over there like they were setting them dudes up. The players were basically setting that up and all that. Like that whole Miami philosophy is the reason why people leave, not the reason why people stay that whole Pley and all this and oh that’s the reason why Jimmy Butler where he at Jimmy Butler took him to the finals. Where’s Jimmy Butler? Bro, you remember that video uh somebody posted one of the Miami uh Heat space spaces dude went off on Pat Riley. Pretty much what you saying, but he said in a more vulgar way. You know what I’m saying? So, and he was he bro and I everything he was saying I was like I mean do you leave the team because of Pat Riley? Like we talk about the Lakers, right? We say nobody you don’t leave the Lakers. The Lakers like make you leave. They force you to go away or trade you away or whatever like that when they done with you. Who’s who stayed in Miami? Mhm. Okay. You say Yeah, that’s it. Because Dwayne Wade Dwayne Wade didn’t even stay, remember? Right. Oh, it did it did him dirty. Oh, okay. Yeah, I know. Um, what’s Pat Rody’s nickname? What is Pat Roy’s nickname? The Godfather. Oh, yeah. Yeah. I’m like, is it the weasel or something? That that that nickname he he taking it to. You know what I’m saying? Gob they he do take that to heart. He think he he’s stuck in that mafia type role. What’s that what’s that uh story they always tell where he threw the rings on the table. Yeah. When LeBron was gonna sign there or whatever. Threw the rings on the table. Like I got this over here. Like man come on. You a coach. Like this. I don’t mean it like that, but like come on, bro. Like I get rings in my face. How you Oh, so Phil Jackson more important to the game than like a Kobe Bryant? Yeah. Got you. Everybody walking around with a Phil Jackson suit on instead of a Cob Brown jersey. You didn’t get them air get them airfields. You know what I’m saying? Patri though. Let him go. What about your boy Nola? Maybe he’s trying to do some things out at the beginning of the game, but I mean I don’t know, bro. I think I hope he gonna take another they want him to take another step this year like go to the next I need to we need to watch more Miami Heat games I guess just this system this whole system thing is just I don’t I feel like you you you stunting a lot of these guys growth man like you said your boy Nola uh you’re not you’re not ask you’re not letting guys take the next step it’s they they trying to Miami tries their hardest to be too much of a team at times yes and it’s like that whole heat culture Yeah, they want to be a a team too much. And it’s like, yo, let your stars shine and become the stars because you may have a star, but then they wait and then wait for a star. You feel what I’m saying? To add on to you instead instead of us developing this homeown being a star. We gonna wait, yeah, for that star to possibly be available to come on this team and be and do that. And it’s like, let your guys, they trying to make everybody into the best role player ever to get them ready for a star to prepare for that go. Yeah. For that guy. Yeah. It’s like, yo, you got guys got skill going on. Let them do things. I’m telling you, you take Haimey or you take like a Khalil and put them on like a a top team in the West or the East, man. Everybody with like like with like Orlando or something, man. A team every there’s a team that would trade for everybody that started the day on their team other than Smith, bro. Yeah. There’s a team that would trade for everybody in that lineup. That’s what they have people, bro. And then you got wear and them off the bench and Jamei Hakez on the bench. Facts. Off the bench. They gonna lose like they gonna Miami gonna be one of the next teams to lose a player and a player going to be somebody nice. Say it again. Who who coming off the bench? What? Jame Hakez and Khal. Yo, two your talented players are coming off the bench. That’s crazy, bro. Your two highest scores and they played into the fourth quarter today and all that. I don’t know what was our exposure with that. They need to get him in the uh the GM role. Get just get a coach and all that. Just got a whole new philosophy over there. But it’s the Heat way. Yeah. Shout out to Jame, man. They got they got players, bro. The Heat have players. Just gota let the players play. Like wear might be nice. They might have the next Andrew 2.0 know or something like that. You feel me? You got a center that can move on the perimeter, man. You got athletic who protects the rim. But they stuck with Andrew. I mean, they stuck with Bam out of bio, bro. Like, they stuck. And that’s why I ask you, what is he? Cuz Kh might be able to be better than B out of bio. And I don’t mean that as a knock. Like, I don’t know if he’d be better defensively, but offensively, he might be able to be better. Like, Kh nice and Khalil ain’t trash on defense. No. And I think Khalil better shooter than uh than BAM. So we got that little floater. Yeah. He made three threes, didn’t he? Yeah. Yeah. So see what I’m saying? Like what? 12. Bam. Hey, Bam was trying to stretch the floor, too. He hit a three. Oh my god. Three and 10 though. Bam. That dude. So that’s the Bam. That’s Bam as well. I told you I don’t like when centers shoot under 50%. Bam don’t have a go-to enough move either. He like if he gonna be that undersized, he need to be a a stupid at the mid-range. He had baby Dwight Howard. Oh my man. Okay. With more passing ability. A little more be better on as far as uh facilitating, but he a baby Dwight Howard. Say I’m online. I can see it. Where Dwight didn’t really have a game. Luckily, Dwight was a little taller and all that stuff. So, he didn’t really have a a back game or post up game. Like, it wasn’t like a go-to move. What’s Bam move? There you go. Now, Bam is um you know, he operates a little bit more when he do shoot from the mid-range, but like you said, if you’re not shooting, if you if you’re not he’s underside, so you have to compensate a little bit. So, it’s like you have to be more consistent from that mid-range. Is that the go-to move? Is that mid-range shot you trusting to go when you see him shoot it? Well, no. As far as that that’s his that’s his go-to move, but trust it. Do you trust when he shoot it? You look at it like that’s that’s good. Remember, we we we uh did a game with the Mavs in the Heat and he was hitting it consistent. like, “Oh, okay. I didn’t know Bam could do that.” I always thought Bam was one of them, you know, rim rollers, uh, you know, just a good defensive guy who can kind of play full court and all that type of stuff. That’s what I thought he was. So, Bam is a dude where they say he shoot too much. Bam. One of those guys like So, Bam is like at times like a I don’t want to say as bad as like a Josh Smith, like one of those guys where he I’m I’m keeping it real. He three of 10 today. Bam. one of those guys where it’s like, bam, he he get confident because he’ll make shots in one game like he did against Dallas Mavericks and then you’ll see him continuously taking those shots and he like well bam, you know, you can’t take those shots like that because that’s not your game. You’re not great at that. Don’t just take those. Give me the ball. Bam. Yeah. Like and he’ll just keep going where outplayed the hell out of him today even though it’s preseason. Like Bam don’t look like he taking no Bam look like he’s stuck right where looks like he on the incline you feel me? Like Bam is what he is man. I don’t know if Bam gets better. Bam maybe maybe if you play him with a better player like so B one of them guys now need to go to a championship level team. Okay where he going to be send him somewhere and let him play with a point guard or something like that. Okay I mean man I’m not trying to bash Bam but let me uh ask you this. Did Bam play on the Olympic team? He did, didn’t he? Yep. And did he look any better with other great players? And what he looked like on Olympics. Damn. That’s what I’m saying. Like you think damn overrated? Is that what you’re trying to say? You think was a flash in the pan? No. No. No. I think he’s a very very very good player. I’m just saying like So very very very good. So he up on he up on the upper tier. He just not up. He’s just like, like I said, it’s he trying to see how I can put this um top 50. He’s he’s just what he is, bro. Like there’s no there’s no there’s no getting better in his game in any aspect. Like he’s a very good defender, you know what I’m saying? A very good passer, you know, for a big um he does all the dirty work and all that stuff. He, you know what I’m saying? He’s a great team defender and all that. He’s okay. But it’s like, yeah, okay score. Like he’s going to that’s what he’s going to give you. Like don’t expect for him. It’s like, you know what? Dang, this night he going to get you he going to dominate on the boards or he going to dominate in this uh category or whatever. It’s like okay, I’m I’m I’m going to just pencil him in for this, this, and this. I know that’s what he going to get me every night. So, it’s gonna be that consistently. You know what I’m saying? Yeah. Okay. So he he you saying he consistently mid? High tier mid. High tier mid. Okay. That’s wild, man. Bam has no more upside is what you’re saying. Yeah. I I mean what what’s this? A year. I mean he getting up there eight. Yeah. Some I mean when he get drafted? When they been? Yeah. Year before Kuca and them. So yeah. So he got drafted in in the Yeah. He got drafted in the D Smith draft. So yeah, this gonna be year eight. Yeah. So, he’s around that peak. You know what I’m saying? By 27. Send him to a team, bro. Send him to another team. That’s what I Now, if you gonna send him to another team, he going have to be a fourth option. Might be a third. He gonna have to definitely be a Draymond when he had Kevin Durant in him. He could be. Where was Kevin Durant, uh, Clay, and then and then, uh, you know, Steph in front of him. You know what I’m saying? Like, if you send him to a if he was on OKC right now, he wouldn’t be the third best player. Is he better than Chad? I think he is. Okay. Is he better than uh J Will Jub? Okay. So, he’ll be the third option. Yeah, that’s what I’m saying. I think he’d be the third option. He could be the highest third option. Is he better than Is he better than Lou Dart? Nah. Dang. Sorry. Sorry. Bam. Uh but no, man. Yeah, that’s just man. It’s a good conversation, man. Like I say, it was a pretty good game, man. Uh took a lot from it. So I did, bro. I told you it was it was interesting. I don’t think Miami gonna be good this year. I’ve already said that multiple times. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Listen, man. It’s not what I was told. Ke man, somebody said Norman Pow should have been an allstar last game in playback. I’m like, no, he shouldn’t. What else is Norman Pow do for Hold on. For the Clippers. Yeah. Then he had like 25 a game last year or something like that. Remember he scored he was scoring a Yeah, he went on like a little run when folks was hurt and all that. Yeah. But what else does he do other than 25 a game? I think I don’t think he averages over like I don’t think he gets four for rebounds or assists probably. No. Uh Pal’s a very very Pal is a a solid rotational player. I’m just he not one of them guys that’s like top four or five in a rotation. You know what I’m saying? like he’s like a he was like CJ to me back when CJ was on um Portland. CJ changed his game up a little bit when he had to be a point guard for uh New Orleans and all. When he was on Portland, he was just a score guy. Like what else do you do? That’s why he made the Allstar game. That’s what Norman Powell was last year. Kind of like that type of player where you just nothing else but score. And it’s nice that you scored that but you don’t impact the game enough to be an allstar in my opinion. I agree. But yeah, that’s all I got to say about that, bro. Good game. Shout out to our exposure. He’s still doing his thing. Shout out to Miami and shout out to San Antonio getting the dub and I got to see more out of Vic, though. That’s what I left this game saying. I need to see more out of it. And uh get Wiggins off the team, Miami. Come on, man. I get Wiggins off that team, man. Brought that up, man. Why are these guys here, man? They have no point guard and all. Get these guys off the team. They just Pat Riley again, bro. We’re going to hold on these guys. They have no more. I’m I’m I’mma wait a couple more uh preseason games maybe. Then we’ll probably give you decision, bro. Like I said, this this one this one game. I just saw a lot of red flags is all I’m saying. So, but uh speaking of red, shout out to uh the sponsors of or I should say the app we use today to watch this particular game and that’s Playback. Thank you to our friends over at Playback for this segment, PUS. If you’re tired of the national media and the annoying ways they sometimes cover sports and other events, give the Glow Sun production channel and playback a try. We cover new and old school basketball, wrestling, and geek culture. And just recently, we’ve added boxing, mixed martial arts, anime, and even video gaming. So, if you have time in your busy day, give our channel on Playback a look and check out some of our replays while you’re at it. Another special shout out to our favorite app, Playback. Back to the show. Yes, sir. Listen, man. We going to get to these questions and these comments, King, [Music] sponsored by True Classic. The most interesting customer came into True Classic today. A young man came in right when the doors opened and said he had a job interview in just 30 minutes. The challenge, or so he thought, he had about 150 bucks to work with. Now, in most places, that’s a fancy shirt, maybe some nice socks, but at True Classic, when you add more, you save more. So, not only did I set him up with a pair of our four-way stretch chinos, not only did I set him up with one of our white button-down shirts, I even helped him complete the look with one of our coaches jackets. All for just $130. So, he found his fit, looked great for his interview, and I’m pretty sure he got the job, too. That’s true value. All right, man. What we got? All right, we got uh David in the house. He says Castle didn’t play either. Yeah, that’s who it was. That’s who it was. Castle. I knew what somebody could, but I could not remember it cuz they were talking about it. Uh shout out to Sean Elliot, man. Uh they were talking about that on the broadcast and I was like, “Yeah, cuz I noticed that. I was like that’s what I was kind of looking for. I wanted to see Castle. I wanted to see uh Vassel. Uh I possess I say Fel. I wanted to see well of course Coach Harper didn’t play. Uh we learned that at the beginning of the game so I kind of wanted to see a lot of these guys. Um um Oen I don’t know what his situation is. So he didn’t play. Uh you know what I’m saying? So Kelly Oen even really playing anymore. He just a guy to just wait to the playoffs now or something. What? That’s what it’s looking like, bro. That’s what it’s looking I guess. So, shout out to Daniel Barry. Sports highlights. I saw you doing playback as well, Daniel Barry. But he says, “Happy Wednesday.” Hello, peoples. What up, Daniel Bry? Make sure to follow sports highlight. Shout out to Latte. He’s a glowy member. He says, “Happy Wednesday. I missed the game. Seems like Spurs look nice this year, but Fox is out for a while and Yankees lose.” Yeah, after Yankees took away our little flare at the bottom. I was going to put that as my player of the day. Yeah, link. the Yankees, man. Shout out to Aaron Judge, man, who just refused to show up in the post. I don’t know what’s I told her to do that work. I said, you say Alex Rodriguez all over again, bro. Told at some point baseball be weird, bro. I know we getting off topic. Baseball weird cuz you can keep winning MVPs. You can be seen as great and all that stuff because you don’t I guess they don’t consider you that you impact winning enough or whatever. like you don’t there it’s so many players that you ain’t held accountable for a championship and all that stuff but at some point why do they keep like when guys stop showing up in the playoffs don’t you stop rewarding them you feel me like I understand like not winning like Ken Griffy didn’t win we just told Ken Griffy the other day he didn’t win but he showed up in the playoffs you feel me it wasn’t because of him you like damn Ken Griffy still showing up somebody help him out and all that Iron Judge like this dude would hit hitting like 60 home runs going to be in the running probably by the end of career for the most home runs of all time. He gonna be the closest guy probably to Barry Bonds on the way he the way he’s playing right now. The way he’s hitting 60 home run don’t even get you 60 hits in the postseason. He damn near get 60 home runs every year now and all that. It’s like bro do something in the playoffs but he can’t even get a third of that. He can’t even get a third of hits total. That’s crazy in the postseason, bro. I just I never understood that, bro. Right. Uh shout out to David as well. David, I’m guessing you’re a Spurs fan, man. Welcome to the channel as well. But he says Kelvin look good. Julian shots look good. Wimby looks like he hasn’t played in a real game in a while. Let him get his legs back and we’ll see. Yeah, I agree with that. That’s why I said this one preseason game. We just we overreacting a little bit, but I’m just asking him some stuff because we haven’t seen any basketball. But yeah, Wimby got time. I hope he does change. But I I did pay attention to that though, David, that he did not it did look like the same Wimby so far and like he missed time. I agree. But yeah, man. Listen, we definitely appreciate y’all man rocking with your boys for another one, man. Uh we will be back here with for the members. We’ll be back here on Friday. Dallas starts at 9 though so they’ll be they won’t be over yet by the time we start. So it probably be the Miami and Atlanta one that day. Okay. So that’ll be our next game y’all. We’re gonna see Miami again. Are they a system team? We gonna find out. And it’s earlier game too. It’s five o’clock y’all time. Oh man, that’s gonna be interesting, bro. Uh but yeah, so we finally get to see Atlanta, man. Kind of see what they going through. I know De Man was well, not Dean, a lot of them. I know he tweeted uh this today. He was like, man, a lot of these Atlanta fans been complaining and stuff after one preseason game. I’m like, that’s how it is, man. That’s how Phantom uh that’s how Phantom fans. If you had to call it this Trey Young last season before we move on I mean not last season in Atlanta. It’s going to depend on where they work and they going to be it depend on how far they go. Okay. And now if they make a play in he gone. It might be it might be Trey and uh Quinn Sners last year. So you think play in not top four? Do I think they can still go somewhere if they not top four? They can still be a like a fifth or sixth. Top six. They got to be at least top six. Win a game. I mean, still win a series with the way that the East did right now and a lot of people have expectations for them this year with their roster and all that stuff. They got to be top six, bro. Okay. They got to be top six. But uh but yeah. So yeah, y’all guys follow us too here. Follow us if you’re new to the channel. Hit that subscribe button. Join us here every Monday and Wednesday evening.
