San Jose Sharks vs Anaheim Ducks – 10/11/2025 – Teal Town USA After Dark (Postgame)

No, your eyes don’t aren’t aren’t telling you another thing. Yes, deja vu has happened all over again. We’ll break this one down. We’ll do that 67 dance because that’s the running theme in San Jose this evening and all kinds of other stuff because yay us right now here on Tealtown After Dark. Good evening everyone. Is it good? I don’t know. Uh October 11th, 2025. If these Sharks somehow have found another way for a come from ahead overtime loss to the Anaheim Ducks by a score of 67. You’re Don’t ever do that again. Okay. Welcome to this edition of Tealtown After Dark. Well, I you know what would be great is if the Sharks didn’t do any of this again. That would be great. You know, that would be freaking awesome. But we want you to be here to be part of the show and chat with us and fellow hockey fans all over the world and in Sharks territory on the YouTube page or the app. Follow us on the social. Kudos to Felix for gifting the game on Twitter threads and blue sky. You can find everything at tealtownusa.com and you can support the pod with a super chat donation or you can hit us up on Venmo tealtownusa. Um, we can’t say if you are a goalender tend to goal this time at least along with uh I mean you can but differently like if you’re a goalie make a save. Um, I would have thought that Sterk would have been the best goalender wearing teal today, but um, here we are, gang. Um, it’s uh, just uh, my lighting is awful. Holy [ __ ] No. Okay, hold on. Um, oh, okay. No, I I like poor Three-Eyed Raider was already saying W and then said, “Oops, lol. 20 more minutes. Finish strong.” Yeah. Okay. Um, so I have two schools of thought that I’ve been going back and forth with. Um, but the the issue is is that like I’m going to get if I just say it’s game two, people will give me flak because this is the same trend that’s happened last year. However, it’s a completely [ __ ] new kind of team if that makes sense compared to last year. You have added a lot of guys. Um, but that play by Celabbrini was so dumb. Um, to try to go through two ducks because pretty much like they had I don’t know what Sy was thinking there and then Ascarov. O Maron, holy [ __ ] Um, one goal he could should have absolutely had. I don’t remember which one if it was the six, seven. Sorry, stop it. I I don’t remember which one it was, but he let in a few uh pass beach balls today. And then that OT goal was also awful. So, he’s not good. It He had He hasn’t been playing well. And Sy made a very questionable decision in OT. Um like you got to stop blowing leads. I know it’s game two. Whatever. I try to tell myself that I think as copium a bit right now. Um, you got to learn how to hold on to a lead. Like to to a certain degree, yes, we’re still a young team, even though we were not really playing our young guys, quote unquote, but you you got to you got to learn how to [ __ ] play with the league, guys. What are we doing here, Ian? Go ahead. Go right ahead, bud. I don’t know. What What do you want me to say? Like, I I just opening thoughts. You had opening thoughts. Um, I like Smith is the best. Is this still the most fun worst placed team in the league? That’s That’s what I want to know. No, I think they’re fun. They’re offensively fun. Um, games are entertaining. No, they’re offensively fun. You can’t tell me they’re not offensively fun. I’m sorry. I will say that. Um, they’re defensively and goalending wise this year a utter nightmare. Clingberg and Lety were out for almost every [ __ ] goal. I think I I don’t think so Asgrov had a bad game, but going before that, I didn’t think the kids actually cost us this game. I thought it was the [ __ ] Clingberg letty [ __ ] pairing that would just never get split up until I think they did towards the end of the game, right? Like I think offensively this seems this seems fun. This team can score. We saw that, right? Um they just [ __ ] can’t keep a lead and that’s what’s frustrating, right? And that’s the other thing, too, is like that’s great that they’re scoring, but at the same time, you cannot let scoring out. You can’t you can’t maintain outscoring your opponents. Obviously, it hasn’t worked yet so far, but I mean, they got more points, I think, than they ever have in October since like what 20 22. I don’t know cuz last the few last October, they just haven’t gotten I think a [ __ ] point. I mean, maybe one against the ABS when Blackwood made his debut, but like I don’t know how to tell a story in a different way that like we’ve seen this a million times. Yeah. All right. Uh really don’t want it. No, I’m joking. Why isn’t Misa playing? That’s a great Here’s here’s the thing, right? And like I know I know some people are going to be like, “Oh, well whatever.” You know, like they’re going to get their shots and whatever, but like it’s frustrating for me that like look at I don’t like if if the kids were all playing and the team is bad, I would enjoy that better. The problem is is like you’ve brought in like veteran players like and you know like Jules hit it on the head. Um, you had Clingberg and Lety that were on the ice for felt like every [ __ ] goal until they broke them up. And then you put Lety with Ferraro. Ferraro, like that’s your answer, I guess. I like, you know what I mean? Like if this was a situation where if it was, you know, if it was like the kids kind of getting rolled over and learning, then that’s one thing. But like this is just like I thought the kids were good tonight. Like I think um Celibbrini and Smith were great tonight. Like I know Celibbrini had the the problem like didn’t you know it was a bad turnover in in overtime but I I mean besides that he looked fine. Like besides that they looked good like they were they were kind of leading the way. Um and you know that’s that makes it a lot more tolerable when you have like situations like that. Like I don’t know man like I understand that you don’t want to just like have completely just a whole lineup of children. I I get that. Um, you know, we’ve seen teams do that before, but I think if if the guys that you were bringing in to to steady the ship are doing the exact opposite, if they’re the ones sinking it, like there has to be consequences for that. Yeah. Yeah. And like that’s what’s frusting Vegas game was like CL people were complaining about Clangber and Ned, right? Two vets that we brought in to steady the ship for the kids, right? But the kids have not been the issue for the most part. I mean, other than Ascar, like like I don’t want to I I do not want to give Ascarov a pass for this game. No, because there was a couple of goals where for sure like I don’t think he had a chance. I think you know there’s the maybe it was the tying goal where it’s like he makes two to three saves and nobody takes their man. Like I think it was Ferraro just doesn’t take his man and finally the the third shot goes in or the fourth shot goes in. like that’s that’s not great. But um but there were some goals that Ascrov let in that were just not good, right? And I and I’m not like trying to like be alarmist on Ascarov here. I think he’s going to be fine. I think he’s going to figure it out. We’ve seen him figure it out before. We’ve seen him go through some some tough stretches before. So I I I don’t I’m not worried about Asgrov and I don’t think everyone should be like, “Oh, well, you know, we traded for this guy and he didn’t get a shut out his first game, so obviously he’s trash.” like I I think there’s going to need to be a little bit of patience there. I think he’s going to figure it out. I think he’s going to be fine. But um you can’t let him off the hook for this game because I mean look at uh at the other end of the ice. I mean Peter Morazzic was even worse when you look at the the amount of goals he let in based on the amount of shots he took. Like this was a 100% winnable game for the Sharks and they just find ways to lose. And I that’s the frustrating thing about last year’s team and it’s been a frustrating trend so far now is that once again you have a team trying to find a way to lose. Yeah. And you can’t afford to lose anymore. Um Well, I mean they can like what are they playing for this year? Sure. I get that they’re still going to lose this year. Like this wasn’t the year that they were going to suddenly miraculously like yes we there was a ch I thought this team was going to be better but like I don’t think they’re making the playoffs or anything crazy. No, but they need to start growing and and to have going backto back choke jobs uh in with under two minutes to go in a game. You need to stop it. We saw this all year long. I mean, what what was it? 30 something onegoal games. I I don’t I don’t even remember how many blown leads it is. The last time they won, Steve Dangle was in the building. That was over six months ago. Yeah. You know, it it’s like, guys, you can’t let up. And and and I get it. And you guys were looking good. You I mean, we’ll we’ll recap this really quick because, you know, another 13 goals. That’s so many goals. Let’s get to the super chat first before we We got a super chat. Oh, excellent. Where are you my friend? Darius, super chat. Ah, Darius, thank you very much. Just like the season opener, you could feel the win in plain sight. Absolutely Darius, thank you for your $5 super chat, they go help support the pod. And what what gives me comfort is like besides Ascarov and Sy’s weird decision in OT to decide to de through four guys, not I’m being dramatic, it wasn’t four, is that the kids have looked good and Smith in my opinion has looked really good. Cell Breen’s looked good. Graph has been a PK monster. Um, you know, yeah, Eklund was good. Ecklund was good. Like the kids have looked good. What cost them has been the vets and like and and even Dickinson like let’s talk with Sam Dickinson for a minute. Like I mean he only played I think what 12 minutes 12 minutes tonight. But I I I thought he was fine. Like I don’t know. I mean I it’s easy I I mean it’s probably easy to look good when compared to Clingber and Lenny. I was about to say I mean that that floor may be really really low but I like I liked what I saw from him tonight. I just I don’t know man like it’s it sucks you know because what are they going to like what’s going to be the lesson from this? Oh well Muka Madulan’s going to come back in Dix Dickinson will go back out like just post that that’s what’s going to change [ __ ] Mukan’s coming back in Dickinson’s going back out because Madulan had two assists and then and then you know and and let and Clingberg can’t play together anymore. That’s all that’s going to change. I’m I’m hoping we we get a a little more creative, but that’s probably my hopeium talking. Um 199 super chat for Austin Westbrook. Thank you very much. #vile for Verhoff. Oh my god. We can’t do this in [ __ ] game two. I’m sorry. Yeah, we can do it. No, no, no, no. It’s literally game two of the season. And I know the Sharks have had two of the most dumb choke jobs in the [ __ ] league already, but I can’t get myself to be like, “Let’s suck for Verov” at this point. I just I can’t I will lose my mind if I have to do that. Like, it’s too early for that, guys. You know, cuz this team is the master of gaslighting, okay? Well, let’s make this very clear. They are the masters at gaslighting. They are going to blow like five more leads probably within the next two weeks. Let’s be honest. And then they’re somehow gonna have a mira miraculous win over the [ __ ] Florida Panthers one game and then we’re all going to feel different. Like it’s they’ve looked honestly they have looked good for about 55 minutes. 57 57 minutes. They’ve looked good for 57 minutes. I don’t know what happens to the Sharks in the last 3 minutes of hockey games or they get too comfortable with the multi-goal lead. I we saw it multiple times on here. Well, we got a lot of super chats to get to. So Rob Iman, thank you very much. 599 super chat. I want this team trending up by the end of the year or it may be time to bring in an experienced coach next year. Um Warso’s lineup decisions have been a little souring me lately. It’s game. Yeah, but it’s it’s game two. Like I don’t I’m not talking about coaching right now. Like as much as whatever like again, you know, um I I I say this and I know people are going to get mad at me, but whatever. It’s true. Like you can’t just we can’t just go through [ __ ] coaches every [ __ ] two years. No, because then you’re really turning into Buffalo. Yeah, you’re [ __ ] Buffalo. You want to be a Buffalo, that’s how you become Buffalo. Yeah. Uh Ruben with the 499 super chat. Thank you very much, my friend. Uh these past two games have been entertaining to say the least, but god damn, they need to put more even more emphasis on third period finishes. Yeah, they I mean they allowed six, seven goals like Yeah. Okay, we can talk. We can talk about, oh, they got to close out games. They allowed seven goals tonight. Yeah. Yeah. You’re not going to win very many games allowing seven [ __ ] goals. They’re lucky they can score. Yeah. Uh just Yeah. And and I know the chat is blowing up like crazy. Appreciate you. Uh all uh AJ, I’m trying to sneak get all your quotes in while you can. Uh so say the cudon and the sharks have the same scored age, different outcome. Uh yeah, just different outlets. Uh William Ecklan minus three. Oh, Ekki. I thought he has looked like he’s on a mission. Um it’s just it’s not really going in and Yeah. Oh god. Sorry guys. No, you are good. Let’s let’s recap this one. We’ll get through this really quick. Ty but can you Okay, so here’s a minus three, right? And but this is where this is why you shouldn’t just spit out stats and context should matter. Where what’s the play? point out, please point out the play to me where William Ecklund was responsible for a goal. I I’ll wait. Tell me. Let Let me know. Let me know. I want I want to know the play if we’re because I think it’s easy to just go, “Well, minus three. He’s [ __ ] terrible.” But but show me the like Tell me where he made a mistake that led Duke to a goal because I don’t remember. I don’t remember either. I’m just reading the stats, my friend. Don’t Don’t No, let’s not do that, dude. Okay. Well, I’m not I’m just I’m just I didn’t know if it was coming from the chat or or what. So, I’m just I’m just No, I’m going through it because Okay, fine. Tealtown banner, boys and girls. We’re all frustrated. It’s a No, I’m just I’m just saying like I don’t know. No, I get what you’re saying. None of those goals were on Eklund and I don’t think that like that’s why plus minus is also dumb, right? To a certain degree. Stupid stat because it’s like my bad, guys. No, no, no. [ __ ] that. You’re fine. Go on. Well, no, no, no, no, no, no. That That wasn’t on you, Puck. I’m just I’m just No, I’m just I’m just I’m Again, the chat’s going a mile a minute. I don’t No. Okay, keep it going. What? What? Keep it going. Yes. Sorry. I’ll shut up. No, no, no. I I should be the one shutting up anyways. Okay, finish gets things going. 340 in with the with a nice pickup from Smith. Defeatley with the one-time. Makes it one one nothing. Uh and and then elite power forward goalcorer Ryan Reeves. Wow. Uh, and the vibes were high on that one. Let’s be honest, especially in the Discord made it two nothing Sharks and 11 and 1/2 minutes in. Oh my god, it was uh I mean, let’s be honest, guys. Two nothing. Reeves is scoring. I mean, how how are it’s like there’s no way we could lose this game, right? There’s no way we could. Ryan Reeves scored, you know. Wait, before we get to the nonchalant part, let me just tell something about the Ryan Reeves goal. The audible noise that Jules made when he scored that goal was ridiculous. Anyways, keep going. Oh, you’re good. You’re good. 41 seconds later though, Cutter Goce has half the ice because the Sharks defense was trying to make a bad line change. Uh he gets in from McTavish and Gudas to make it 2-1. Uh on a power play, Beckett Senica uh gets his second and ties it up at at 22. Then we have a fight which seemed like it took forever to get going here. Uh like waiting waiting. He was like waiting for I forget who the opponent was but like come on I think I’m waiting. You said you wanted to go. Come on. You know. Uh so that was 22 after one. Then of course you know the the random guys start scoring. Mario Ferraro comes in, sneaks in, puts in the with a nice rebound play there. Yeah. To to get it back to 3-2. Uh, however, they’re not even finished announcing the goal. Uh, less than a minute later, Alex Kloren skates in all alone. You can thank Mikuel Granland for that one to that. Uh, beats Ascarov goes 33. Uh then on the power play, John Clingberg with a cling bomb that I mean I’ll give him that you know he had a rough night defensively. Yeah, he scored a goal but he scored for like five. So yeah, some sort of positivity, guys. He was I think I made a joke on the Discord cuz we were all watching this and I was like, “Okay, so if we could only use Clankberg on the power play, that’d be great because he has made the power play look way better than it was last year.” You know what I mean? But besides that, abysmal. Yeah. So, that made it 4-3 about midway through the the regulation. Adam Goddard comes in and scores on the power play on the second power play unit. I’ll say this gang, I thought the power play unit looked really sharp tonight. And definitely were we’re looking like they they know what they’re doing. Just they got some finishes in there. Like two power play goals on on the night is pretty sweet, I I’ll say. Yeah. I mean, the power play actually looked not horrid tonight, so it’s looked good to start. It’s fine. Look, I mean, yeah, I thought it was fine. I mean, the Ducks definitely allowed themselves to get into some penalty trouble, which the the Sharks took advantage of better than they have in previous seasons, so we’ll give them Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No, totally. Um, so definitely improve. I I mean, Ian, they they looked like they were cohesive. if they weren’t like scared to pass it around. They they felt they were pl they were doing it with confidence. But yeah, you know, I like like I said, the things the there was a lot of good things in this game and I know it’s easy to look at this game and look at the final score and be like, “Oh, there’s just nothing positive here.” Um, and especially like just, you know, being shell shocked from last year and then kind of just seeing how this year’s gone so far. But I mean, there’s a lot of really good things. It’s just unfortunate that like Clingberg and Lighty [ __ ] you know, and and Ascrov wasn’t good enough. Like not nearly good enough. No, like the they were fine obviously. Look, they put they put six pucks in the net. That’s good. But you can’t give up seven, right? Completely agree. Completely agree. Uh Maggot of Slipnot, thank you very much. $10 super chat here. I got to go to bed. So, we got here late and listen tomorrow. Thank you. But this game is a marathon, not a sprint. We got this, boys and girls. The future is teal, but the present is pain. Where’s Where’s Mike back? I’m I’m gonna ask for the sharks to see if we can like make that the hashtag for now. Chris Teal, but the present is pain. Get back to me, Jonathan Becker. Uh, our good friend Rocket Backhander. Nah, man. There’s a lot of positive. I agree with Ian though there is like I think again like you look at you there’s a lot of like there’s a lot of things to like like again I thought Will Smith and and Mlin Celbrini had a good game. Yes, I know again Celibbrini maybe not the best play in overtime. Um and I think Lacy said in the chat earlier like how many is he but I mean you know it’s that’s how you learn. Um I I still think that Cabbrini’s defensive game is miles ahead of where it should be given his age. Oh, for sure. Like um you know, I think the the things that him and Smith um just in general are doing right now. It is mind-boggling when you consider they’re like what 18 and 19 or Yeah. very young. They can’t even drink. So, no. At least not until they get to Canada. Yeah. At least not maybe in your pansy country. You’re coming to our pansy ass country. So yeah, I can drink there too. Yeah, sure. There you go. Oh boy. So everything was going fine. And again, we were in the Discord and thinking 53, you know, Ian, what did you say about what? Oh, when it was five or was it it was someone maybe it wasn’t you, but it was like they they Oh, I think it was Marty in in Discord was saying, “Oh, they better not let him score a goal in the last minute.” Yeah, that was Marty. And Marty was right. Yeah. So, we’re going to ask Marty for the winning lotto numbers next time. Uh because Chris Crrier scores a power play goal with about a half a minute to go in the second period. And you kill No, we’re not. Uh it just like Okay. There’s that little hesitancy. You know, you better to be 5-3, but 5-4, you still got a lead. Helps when Jeff Skinner uh you know, gets gets it gets his second of the season. Deandria Orlov there make it 6-4. Uh and then the Ducks kind of show the Sharks what to do when you need to persevere because Tutar Gochi gets his second on a tip in to make it 65. Chris Krider with 51 seconds finds a loose puck. Ask Rob was I mean he had to make like four saves prior to that, right? And he was down because, you know, he was trying to stop everything. But I think Logan also said something on the Discord. Um which I do think that his rebound control was it wasn’t good. No, I mean like I said, there is there is there is some goals where a they just can’t go in period and and there was other goals where he’s kicking rebounds into just prime spot like prime shooting spots. It’s [ __ ] anti. Yeah. Oh, where are you? Okay. Oh, sorry. That was flashbacks to to pass. My bad. Like you can only make so many like he made the first save but then he kicked out the rebound to you know what I Look at and and like and obviously like it’s your like you want to put rebounds in better places and sometimes it’s it’s it’s not possible to do that but that’s where your defenseman are supposed to come in right like goalie is responsible for one shot the first one everything after that’s on your D right yeah and so that’s didn’t do that Brisby life PTSD lol Well, oh man. Yeah, it’s that’s a tough one. Uh but but I but I do want to say like on but like I don’t it’s way too early to be like oh this gu is just not it like oh god we need let let him figure it out. I think what’s going on with Asgrov right now is probably between the ears and I he’ll yeah he’ll sort it out. He he’s gone through stretches like this. He’s and he’s recovered just fine. Like I still think that there is a franchise goalie here. I know it’s hard, but I mean like we’ve seen we’ve seen other great goalies get completely shelled, right? Like it’s not like this is like, oh well, like I I know the preeason wasn’t great for him either, but I feel like once he figures this out, he’s going to be fine. There’s there’s a history there of being better than fine. Right. Right. like everybody’s been saying in the chat. Oh, we’re on we’re still on pace for 82 points. It’s all right. It’s all right. Yeah. Um you know, so uh let’s get to some of the quotes that came out uh there, you know, and we’ll finish with David Spurber saying left out to dry on the tangle. Yep. Totally agree. It’s threeon three. Yeah. Yes. Yes. Oh, sorry. Not for the tangle. Yeah. For the tangle. Yeah. You’re all good, bud. We got you. We got you. Uh let’s see. Yeah. Again, that’s where Mario Ferrar needs to have his man. And he didn’t. They just stood there and watched. Oh, uh, one more super chat and definitely a lot of chatter about Misa in the chat here. Uh, Jordan Styers or Steers, pardon for getting it incorrectly. 199 super chat been saying it. Trade Misa for a defenseman. No. Nonsense. No, you don’t do that. Well, for one, here’s here’s the thing, right? Like it No, it’s not even that. It’s it’s this this great thing that sounds great in theory, but it just it never happens. No one trades their top prospect for another top pro like they just they these guys never move. That’s the reality of it. It’s easy to say, but show me where it happens. and and for es and and the caveat being guys that weren’t like top picks in the co drafts because that’s the only place where we’ve really seen this happening is we’ve seen a lot of co draft picks move around but other than that like outside of that we don’t teams don’t give up future number one defenseman for anything not not a potential topline forward nothing it just they don’t do it I totally get that. All right. Quotes from the locker room. Thank you, HJ. Don’t let in seven goals. That’s a key thing. Thank you. You need to shut the [ __ ] up. My god. You dumb [ __ ] Like as if. Imagine the stones. The [ __ ] stones to stand in front of a [ __ ] camera after that game and be like, “Yeah, we just can’t let in seven goals.” That I was on the ice for [ __ ] 19 million. Like Jesus [ __ ] Christ. Oh, see, we’re all happy again. This is great. All right. Uh from Mac, uh we did a good job for the most part. We made a couple mistakes, but we have to figure you good. The [ __ ] stones on this guy. Jesus [ __ ] Oh, all right. Yeah, I’m good. I’m good. Sorry. Okay. Uh, we did a good job for the most part. We made a couple of mistakes, but we have to figure out how to close out G. Yeah, that’s the thing. Mac, right, Mac, continue on with we need to relax. We want it so bad that maybe we’re overthinking. We panic, gripping the stick too tight. H I again it’s little things that just come in that just hurt in the in the bad stretch, you know? It’s just sucks. Uh and he’s taking responsibility for it in the end. It’s on me. I made a bad play. Yep. Yep. Yeah. Totally. Uh Sam in his NHL debut. Like we said, he got about 12 minutes of ice time. Not the result we want, but we can take some good things from this. Yeah, I mean scored six. There were positives as much [ __ ] as Ian and I have given the defense and goalending and there was there was a lot of positives from from from the blue line out. Yeah, the blue line out was off. The blue line back. The blue line back. I have severe questions. Um yeah. Yeah. Uh Orsovski, the winning habits aren’t good. Our whole game wasn’t great if we’re honest. So, we go from the whole our whole game wasn’t great if we’re honest to back to Sam. Uh, but we can take some good things from that. What else? What is he supposed to say? What is he supposed to say? Oh, I know. But I’m playing with a partner who can’t move. Like, what do you want? Not to do the dance, but you know, it’s like you got it from both sides. You know, the positive side, guys. Uh, what do you want? Sam Dickens. You know, these guys just suck. And onto a plane to London he goes. Yeah, right. Like what do you want him to say? He boards the plane tomorrow. What exact do you think would happen if he said, “Yeah, we these guys are just [ __ ] terrible.” Like he would be on a flight to London tomorrow. He might be on a flight to London after like they might drive you from the [ __ ] arena to the airport. I mean, he’s still living in a hotel, so you know, be easy packing right there. He’s like, “Wait, Mac and Will got milk and cookies from Tofuli? Why am I still in a hotel room?” That’s that’s actually an interesting thing, guys, you know, because I thought he was supposed to be rooming with with Tuli. Misa who’s rooming with Ti or Miss Misa. So, we we can’t put We can’t put Stam with anybody. Come on, guys. What are we doing? What’s What’s Dan Bole up to do besides hanging out with Shang? I mean, come on. Uh, and by the way, you know, Dan Bole, a freaking legend. Uh, getting back to this, uh, Warso, we need some poise. We’re chucking it around the D zone. They were all over us. We should be 2 and 0. But you’re not. But you’re not. But you’re O. And Dallas Cowboys times two. Uh, what can you do better defensively as a team from Shang Warso? Everything. Bro, this is this is some elite interviews right here. This is this is some peak [ __ ] content. Oh my gosh. But uh uh when you have this many turnovers, you will break eventually. We We have to be better. You have to It’s It’s almost I can’t with these codes. These are awful. Sorry. But uh AJ, thank you. Appreciate it. Um I will say I think Kevin pointed this out earlier in the chat. Um, as much as [ __ ] as I gave Asgrov, he did make some highlight reel saves. Yeah, but he wasn’t good. Like, we’re he wasn’t good, but he did make some like Okay, see, he made some good saves, but you know what? We needed a few more. Like, he and he and look at he faced a ton of shots and the defense wasn’t good and blah blah blah blah blah. But like, I’m not going to let Ascrov off the hook here. No, I’m not trying to let Ask off the hook. I’m just trying to give him credit for at least the few good saves he did make, which were a few and far between, but yeah. Oh, Jerry. Dang it. I wish I had known. Jerry F with the $5 super chat. I was at the tank tonight. I had a great time in spite of the result. Awesome. Yeah, fans are awesome. Thanks for the awesome coverage as usual. Usual TT USA. Thank you, JF. Uh, glad you made it to the tank. Hope you’re doing well. Uh, so, okay. O and two. They did pick up a point, you know. You have a win in points, you know. So, we’re we’re we’re okay. Well, that’s something. Yeah. Uh currently we are tied uh for the uh last wild card spot. We should uh spew some positivity. We’re only one point out of third. Come on gang. Come on. It’s all right. It’s still early. It’s okay. It’s okay. Right. My god. Right. Oh boy. Okay. Uh so what we’ll we’ll there was a barracuda after dark with me and Ian. Uh we’ll we’ll just briefly just cover it here. You won’t believe what the score was. It was 76 there, too. 26 goals in San Jose today. It was crazy. But uh yeah, if you want to see a lot of goals, like this was the day. This was the I mean I I I can’t think of any hockey goals in San Jose professionally uh on a day like this. So that was uh that was a fun one, but you could definitely check that out. Uh, you know, you had Chernaf get a pair of assists. Cam Lun with a with three assists. Musty got his first professional goal. I mean, Ian, just quickly recap it there. I mean, that was that was a that was a fun entertaining game to watch as well. Yeah. So, I mean, in that game, like you have you brought in um they the Sharks brought in Jacob Scar to play. Is he Jacob or Jacob? I don’t know. I I think he’s Jacob because it’s Scarrick with a thing on his S. So now I’m just upsetting people, I’m sure. Um, all the I I didn’t think much of the of the acquisition there. So it’s like it’s it’s a different thing, right? It’s a goalie who you don’t think much of. And I think when you looked at the Barracuda, I think um obviously not having Ascarov there, um you knew that that was obviously going to be a downgrade um from them. Uh so it was going to be interesting to see what we were going to get. I think that there was a lot if you want rough goals like there was there was a lot of rough goals uh in that game but the Barracuda still scored a ton of goals too and uh you know a really good game again like the Barracuda are going to be a lot of fun this year there’s a lot of talent on that team now and it’s good and they’re going to have to be because if you look at that team um they you know they lost a lot of goals a lot of goals went out the door Daniel’s no longer here Thomas Bortle is no longer here is no longer here so you’ve got a lot of first year pros that are going to expected to make up that offense. Um, and so far they they came through. Um, like Cam Lund looked really good uh in his first AHL game and uh Shernes I I loved Shernov’s game. Um, but yeah, if you u we did do a we did do a whole dedicated show to this earlier. I think it was like 20 minutes 30 minutes. It’s a good one. If you want if you want some more in-depth uh there there’s definitely uh that there and and we’ll do tomorrow too. We’ll talk about it on Pnologist tomorrow. I think Ian said this or Kevin, one of the two brilliant men uh that talk about the Cuda said this um that you know the Cuda might not have any D this year but they will be very fun to watch. We don’t know. No, they have D. It’s just there it’s like they there there’s decent defense there. Like look at once Lucas Carlson and and Jack Thompson go down like that’s that’s actually a pretty decent blue when you’re when you have Havl already there who I thought looked good again. Another guy who I thought looked good today was was Matias Havt and Luca Kegnoni got a goal today. I mean there’s it’s just the goalending that I have questions about right. Um Gabe Kerier I think is an okay goalie. Uh not a great first impression of of Scarrick. Um, so we’ll see, you know, and then and Matt Davis will probably, you know, do the Witchah shuttle and he might get a few starts here and there, too. Um, while he’s getting his feet wet, uh, in pro hockey for the first time. So, I don’t know. Like, like I said, it’s it’s a young team. It’s going to be it’s probably one of the youngest teams in the AHL as the Barracuda perpetually are. And I it’s going to be, you know, you never really know what to get when you have that, right? So, I don’t know. I think I think they’re going to be fun. I just don’t know if they’re going to be fun. Good. They’ll be fun. They’ll be the most fun. Places like Thompson ain’t going down. Well, I mean, that’s that’s a fascinating That’s, you know, and that it’ll be interesting to see what they do, right? Because like I personally would send Dee down. Um, but you know, once those guys get back from IR, one of them has to go down. So, is it going to be Thompson? Is it going to be Dearn? I don’t know. Um, I would send Dearn down personally, but he’s big any hits and this is the San Jose Sharks. Um, thanks Kev. Kev for that one. Yeah, so it is Jacob. Okay, there you go. See? Yeah, there you go. [ __ ] right. [ __ ] right. So here here’s the here’s the thing. I mean, if you are playing Dickinson the nine and only doing 12 minutes, are we kind of setting up for him to be going back to London? I don’t know what the Sharks are doing with Mis Dickinson. And the only reason why I say that is because of the whole thing with Thompson because I mean I think it’s almost certain that he’s going to get claimed if if we were to try to sneak him. I feel like if they if they’re dumb enough to put Thompson on for someone, we’ll claim him. Yes. And then maybe we’ll, you know, if it’s it’s hard, right? Cuz the waiver game is so fun because it’s like someone might claim him and then they might try to send him down. Maybe the Sharks claim him back because the Sharks are going to be very very high on the waiver list. So, um I don’t it’s going to be it’s going to be fascinating to see how it plays out. I I don’t know. I mean, it’s I I again, I wouldn’t do it, but I’m not my career. Yeah. I mean, it it’s going to be interesting how that works. And I I wonder if it’s Dickinson, not Dehar, that’s going to get moved. Uh, in that sense, uh, I love that I had to prove a comment that simply said, “Sit.” Lety, YouTube, got to love it, right? YouTube moderation is so dumb. Oh boy. Hey guys, chat. Yo, calm down. Take a breath. We’re We’re good. But I I understand like for instance, Frank, it’s like I’m tired of this [ __ ] We went to both games today. Had fun the last five minutes, you know, and and this is can be demoralizing, you know, to to What’s that? It’s game two. True. True. I get that. But I think it’s I think it’s But I think it’s PTSD from last year. No, it’s game two just fall apart. Like I think I look it I was any of this good? Mostly not. But like should we like oh this this it’s game to you. We shouldn’t we shouldn’t be you know fire off the sun. No the long-term implications of this loss to the Ducks on October [ __ ] 11th. I just No. What are we doing here? I I’m I’m totally getting that. But I can I can I can sympathize with some of the frustration going on, especially if you were at the game. So, all right. Um, I love my team. Go Sharks. Oh my gosh, you got chat. You are just, you know, um, trying to make people smile. I know it’s frustrating, but Jules has decided to be a bloat of sunshine today. Dude, I had a crazy day. Keep it real, man. Like, again, I think it was bad, but like should like, can we can we can we take a breath a little bit before we get Yeah, that’s all I’m trying to say. Like, my team lost 11 to2 in Beer League today and I’m you know, breathe, relax, breath, it’ll be fine. It’ll be fine. It’s not fine. It’s over. It’s over. Rebuild screwed, guys. [ __ ] it up. They [ __ ] it up so bad. What just happened in the chat? I I’m afraid to even look now. I haven’t been looking at the chat. Uh you you guys have jewels. Oh, yes we do. They do have me. I don’t. Yes. Absolutely. So on that we will get out of here. Oh no. In case you missed anything watching again, check us out on tealtownusa.com or wherever you get your podcasts. audio version will be up later this evening or in the morning what what however time it gets to. Let’s get it happening. Tell all your friends. Leave a comment down below if you if you uh didn’t catch us live. So, why am I Why are we laughing? Jules is the only sunshine about today. Oh, if the Sharks lose again, it’s going to be more than your toes, Jules. Oh my god. Jules team lose lost dropping 11 goals. So, are you sure it’s Joy or is Jules ascending into Delirium and both? Hey guys, P. Oh yeah, PCM did get a hat-tick today. Yes, PCM hash the futureist teal. Pole camp got a hat-tick. Six nothing win for Denver. So that’s it. Saw Huck Cavs at the Cuda game. What? Oh, what? Oh, Hank. Um, okay. Number one, uh I I don’t know why my calves are such a thing on in this chat. And number two, and I barely wear shorts to a hockey game now. And number two, I wasn’t at the Cuda game. So, sorry. Uh, uh, yes, AJ’s BFF. Yeah, AJ’s best friend. He He literally uh tagged me on Twitter for about it. All right. All right. With that, we will wrap this. Who did they play next? The Sharks. Yeah, they play Tuesday. It’s 70s night at the tank as they uh take on the Carolina Hurricanes without burns. That’ll be fun. Um, there is a $2 super chat. Michael Molasses, thank you. But I’m not gonna say we’re not going to say that. We’ll Okay, enough. Yes. So, I’m going to throw it to Ian uh here and you can talk about what you’re going to talk about on Pucknologist set to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Uh we’re going to talk about this game and the game before it and how the rebuild is ruined and um yeah, we’ll talk about some other stuff too. Uh you know, we’ll talk about all the stuff. We’re going to we’re going to recap the week as one does on the Pucknologists and we are going to uh we’re going to talk about the Barracuda and their win and uh we’ll find some other [ __ ] to talk about. I’m sure it’s going to be fun. Can we can we take the super chat down already? Yeah. Can we? Cuz that was up. It’s down already. Yeah, I can still see it. Oh, no. Okay, that’s fine. You’re good. Yeah, you’re good. You’re good. Don’t worry. Well, we’ll we’ll I’m sure Ian and AJ will talk about how tomorrow. Oh, yeah. Um Ian might be able to go Oh, yes. We’re definitely going to talk about partner. Yes. Do we have Robins up there? Oh my gosh. You could probably go and get an ice cream and come back because there are Oh my god. I mean, the the stuff that was dropped if you haven’t had a chance to like kind of Yeah, we’re definitely going to talk about the House of Flat stuff. Yes, that is that is absolutely going to be a topic of conversation. I promise you. Way spicier than orange sauce, guys. Oh, you have I’m sorry. You have a few more super chats, but I don’t know any of them. We’re not I am not adding context to this. I’m not Yeah, I’m not adding context to that. I don’t want to know. Tiger, good to see you. Hope you’re doing well, my friend. But oh my god. And uh $1.99 from from his J Sports Talk channel. Damn. The Sharks should be two and 0 and not 0 and2. Damn it. Yeah, they would would be could be should be didn’t. Yeah. Oh gosh. Uh Jules, your your final thoughts on this? I don’t know if I have one. Um, no. Look, like I don’t know, man. Like they, yeah, like they should be 2 and 0, but like they forget how to play hockey for three minutes of the game and it’s they’re o and two, right? Um, they’ve looked pretty like they’ve looked good at stretches at times, right? They can score goals. We’ve learned that. It’s like the minute this team figures out how to close out opponents, they’re going to be good. But oh my god, do we need to figure out how to close out opponents. You know what I mean? Yes. So, it’s like I feel like they’re at the toddler phase right now where like if I’m like if you’re building a team, this is a really bad metaphor, but they’re at like the toddler phase where they don’t they’re trying to figure it out, right? I It’s going to pro I I’m hoping they can beat Carolina and we can get through October cuz I think the Sharks are cursed in October. So look, like the future’s still teal. The rebuild’s still going strong, but like but the present is pain. But yeah. Yeah. See, the present is pain. And you do I think we do want to see some improvements like now, right? So yeah. Yeah. All right. With that, we are out of here. We’ll be back with you on Tuesday following Sharks and Hurricanes, but Ian and AJ will definitely have some things to say on Pucknologist Sunday night 6:00 p. p.m. Pacific time, 9:00 p.m. Eastern. I mean, it’s going to be a gosh darn good one. That’s for damn sure. So, please, if you haven’t hit the subscribe button already, do so right there. Uh, it doesn’t hurt. 1. Klingberg has been stealing money for years now. I don't know why the heck certain players that clearly show they don't have it are allowed to stick around. The Sharks are getting what they deserve for signing this guy. Like someone said on the show he should only be out there on the powerplay but if he had his minutes limited to that or close to that it would then become hard for him to be loose and perform properly. The only thing the Sharks need to do with him is find some sucker to take him off their hands at the NHL Trade Deadline or sooner. It will likely be the deadline though. You will get a below average prospect and a 4th round pick at most I think. Maybe a third round pick? Anyway.

PS: I am a Devils fan but always check in on other teams after they have a disaster of a game or a bad stretch of hockey.

  2. Warso is in Askys head……he’s throwing all the young players under the bus while his golden vets can do no wrong. Plus there’s the whole Russian thing surrounding Warso which I honestly believe has some truth to it, especially after benching Muk
