Tonight I just weird bounces. Just one of those games. 82 games. Jerry talks a lot about process over results. Uh Kale was just saying a lot of positives to take out of this one. Is that kind of what you were just saying? Yeah, I think so. I mean um yeah, it just sucks when you lose, but um we had a lot of good looks in the third and OT as well. So um yeah, hats off to Hoter. Um they hung around. They did what they had to do to win. But yeah, I thought we I thought we did a good job especially wasn’t a great game. last game. I guess it’s the hockey gods maybe how we didn’t maybe deserve last game. Um I thought we deserve this game. Seems like you and Marty are really you know buzzing uh you know maybe even a little bit more than you guys were at tail end of last year. Just what’s it been like? Yeah, it’s been pretty good. I mean it’s three games, right? So it’s 79 more games. But um yeah, it’s uh LA was okay. Last game was brutal. Tonight was good. So I mean I don’t know. It’s been pretty good though. Uh he he’s looking awesome. Looks strong. Seeing the ice well, shooting it well. So, um, yeah, he’s he’s a dynamic player and, uh, great great guy to play with and obviously Lucky. I mean, he compliments both of us really well. Um, so yeah, it’s been it’s been good so far. Power play got back on the board today, too. Just how are you feeling about how that’s being deployed so far? What do you mean? Just how you how do you feel like it’s looking so far? Um, I thought it was really good tonight. Really good tonight. Um, a lot of great chances. I know we were getting booed. Um, I guess they don’t really know what a good power play looks like. We had a ton of chances and just nothing was going in and we finally got one. So, I guess they got to boo us more. Thanks much. Thanks. On uh your chances, just how frustrating is that for you guys? I mean, at this point, it’s not really frustrating because we know what’s what to expect every single game from them. Very opportunistic like you said. And um it’s just the little the little mistakes there that uh that’ll cost you. But we found a way to weather it tonight at times um and had some good opportunities. We just got to finish a couple and um yeah, we’re right there. Jared preaches process over results a lot, especially in the regular season to tonight. There’s some positives to take away. Yeah, 100%. Obviously coming out of the first period down one, um battling back in the second, going into third down one, and then battling back too. So, um or whatever it was. So, um a lot of positive, a lot of resilience we showed tonight. Um it’s good, especially at this point in the season for really really early on. So, you mentioned it’s really really early on. I mean, is it frustrating at all that you have to wait till March to face the Stars again? Uh, I didn’t know that. But, um, I mean, we’re going to have to play them whatever it is four or five times in a season. So, um, whenever it is, it is. So,

  2. Keep you heads up guys. You absolutley dominated this game except for the few chances the stars had. This team is gonna be scary all season and they match up with dallas soooo much better now. Lets take care of Buffalo Monday!

  5. I used to live in a farm house on the Eastern plains of northern Colorado, and we would watch the storms brew and come to fruition. It looked just like Nathan MacKinnon in this interview. Enjoy the extra point Dallas, a monster is coming for you.

  7. The fans were booing the PP? If so, I think it was more likely because they are tired of watching the same shit over and over and over again. Like sloppy ass rebounds sitting 4 feet and sliding away while little Lehky is double hammed by defenders. Idk perhaps a mix of the two units and having one or both of those net front guys like Val and Landy blocking vision hunting tips and deflections. Seeking rebounds instead of constantly lookin for a highlight reel goal.
    Watch Dallas’ Pp. the moment and I mean moment they put the puck on net any body below the tits is flying towards the net for a rebound to pop. One from each angle.

  9. I get Mack won’t like the boos but guys gotta play their game!! Every time they play Dallas they lay eggs!! Offense is only half the game, defense is the other half and you don’t play defense you won’t win a lot. They got lucky against the mammoth. They dominated Dallas but forgot to play defense.

  10. I saw a lot of positives. It's only the 3rd game of the season. As an Avs fan watching the powerplay, I saw a lot of chances. Fans knows what a PP is. Once the pucks start going in it will be like dominoes.

  17. McKinnon doesn’t really seem to enjoy playing for the Avs sometimes. His talk after the playoffs was all about how Dallas was missing two or three of their main guys and the Avs still couldn’t beat them even then and he just seemed despondent. He sounded really pissed off tonight too. Avs did deserve more than a point though I admit, Oettinger was excellent and Stars got some puck luck too. They were much better against Winnipeg for sure. This was a ridiculously good game of hockey for so early in the season, sad we have to wait til March for the next matchup!

    I don’t think the fans were booing the PP even so, just getting after Rantanen and Duchene which is their prerogative but pointless really. Rantanen tucks the game winning SO goal, and was dominant in the playoffs, Duchene has a playoff series GWG vs the Avs too. Just support your own team, it’s probably more effective. GG nonetheless, see you next year 🤝
