The 2025 Chicago Cubs Season Is Over

Well, that’s not how you wanted that to go. The 2025 Chicago Cubs season is over. Uh they lose in5 in Milwaukee. I’m Sam over from the Lockdown Cubs podcast. Um you know, if they were going to lose, you felt like it was going to be like this, just not enough offense. There hadn’t been enough offense for the last three months of the season. And um to me, it came down to the sixth inning. You had two on, nobody out. Kyle Tucker at the dish. ahead 3-1 the score 3-1 in the count the score was 2-1 Milwaukee you felt like not only could you tie it but could you break it open there he misses a 3-1 fast ball right down the middle then strikes out on a really good pitch by Ashby s lines out to left center half strikes out looking and that was the last real threat that the Cubs pose um Andrew Vaughn changed this season for the Brewers um he was one of the biggest reasons the Brewers u hurdled the Cubs in the division and was one of the biggest reasons they won this series uh that’s just baseball. Um, credit Milwaukee. Uh, they’re a really good team that made a lot of great, uh, decisions. The Cubs fought really hard. I’m proud of them. Um, but they’re just a couple of, uh, bat-to ball skills, clutch, uh, uh, bat guys short right now. Um, you know, to to compete at that next next level. Uh, we talk all about it next.   6. Win or lose I'm still a Cubs fan. There are some positives to take away from the season. They beat San Diego in the wild card. They pushed the Brewers to a decisive game 5. Hopefully they can use this as motivation for next season. I'm proud of my Chicago Cubs.

  9. How can we hold the brewers to 3 and not score more than 1 point. We don’t deserve to win anything. We need to put up more than one point in a winner take all game

  14. Go get Trevor Bauer if you really won to win. He want let you down. Don't give up. I want another championship for real. 2016 . Ohh another 100+ YEARS later to get another one. I can still taste it . Fill the champagne back up. This round on us . We coming for the 🏆 Windy city we go keep Flying the (W)'s .
    I'm proud of the Cubbies. It may not look like it,but we won. Just keep making positive moves and believing in the next to come!!!!!!!

  24. Great season for the Cubs! Could have gone either way – and if the Cubs had secured home field – would have been more than likely.

  27. So proud of my Cubbies! After the offensive showing in game 4, I thought they came out of their funk in time for game 5. But no, back to the no-hitting and striking out offense. They have the off season to figure it out.

  28. You know the Cubs missed some clutch hits. No doubt. A couple of balls bouncing a certain way could of helped. Baseball is hard but what I do not like is when players every year look good a few weeks.a year to have decent stats but are just terrible for long stretches costing the team runs..cough Ian Happ. Hey at least the Cubs are not the Mets and or Phillies.

  29. Respect Cubs nation. You made this a scary nerve-racking series. I know it didn't end the way you wished, thankfully, but this rivarly is only going to get better next year. Go Crew.

  30. Tucker is a disappointment , happ is such a hit and miss guy ! Pitching was more than good to get a win ! Next year Horner should lead off then Busch after that who knows ?
