I was thinking about rooting for the brewers in the nlcs for a second but than I saw this.

  1. I’m all for rivalries, but this is pretty juvenile. Just let the win speak for itself.

  2. As a Michigan fan, this feels familiar: This is Michigan St levels of little brother. They got their wins, but that will never be enough. They want the humiliation. But at the end of the day, the Cards are still our biggest rivals

  3. yeah between that, the stupid video their social media put out of the L flag on the chicago bean, and contreras saying “da cubs lose” on a stream of their celebration… i hope they get humbled hard. and i also hope that we use this as fuel for the next season. didn’t think i could hate a team more than i already did but here we are

  4. They don’t even have their own tradition or flag, can’t even celebrate their own win, just the Cubs loss. So weird and insecure

  5. Interesting.

The better team won this series.

But it’s kind of pathetic to celebrate another’s team’s loss rather than your victory.

  6. Now we gotta fly to LA with the W flags and lend them to the Dodgers. That would be hilarious to see in the crowd when they lose.

  7. Polar opposites, we have the best fans in baseball and they are proving that they have some of the worst.

  8. I’ve been on the “Fuck the Brewers” train ever since the whole Ryan Braun cheating fiasco.

  9. This isn’t that big of a deal to me, corny and lame and a total “I swear you’re not rent free” little brother move for sure.

But it was the fans that ruined it for me. Once the whole “cubs fans punch children and sexually harass women everywhere they go” losers started coming out of the woodwork I lost any goodwill I had toward them.

Go Dodgers for now, then go mariners/blue jays

  10. No real cubs fan would root for the brewers. Even if they are playing the cards in the playoffs I would root for the apocalypse.

  11. I would never consider rooting for a team from Wisconsin. I’m also not rooting for the Dodgers. Hopefully the Jays or Mariners win.

  12. It’s just petty. We live rent free in their heads for some reason. Last night a brewers fan in another sub was going on about how they are our rivals and have dominated us for years. Said nothing about their going to the NLCS. Just beating the Cubs. This was their World Series.

  13. This is some loser shit right here. You won the divisional series. Congrats. The job isn’t done yet. If you win it all then come back and talk your smack.

I’m not impressed with a team making the NLCS. I wouldn’t have been satisfied if the Cubs had only made it to the CS either. When you win as many games as them it’s WS or bust. Anything else is a waste. And celebrating like this is classless if you walk into LA and get the taste knocked out of your mouth. Which they will. Then it will be Cubs fans posting this image.

  14. That was my reaction too. I told my friend, last night, after the loss, that I was going to pull for the brewers against the dodgers and I immediately changed my mind when I saw this. I understand fans doing this but the actual team crosses the line. No class.

  15. Dude, hard same. I even texted my BIL about my temporary realignment, then I saw this petty shit. Expert trolling, very funny, but always indicative of not acting like they’ve been here before.

  16. Meh whatever. That’s a loser mentality (to care more that the other team lost than that you won), ironically, and sad for them. Doesn’t bode well for their mental fortitude.

We saw how they shrivelled up and pissed themselves at Wrigley because some mean fans were elite level loud (not because the scoreboard told them to “get loud” like at amfam) and chanting Freddy’s name. What will happen when they face the Dodgers…

  17. Saw another comment that said ‘they just gave us so much meme material for the future’ so I’m keeping that in my back pocket

  18. Serious question- are there any other teams that have celebrated their own series win by making fun of their opponents losing?

  19. screw ‘em

neither one of our teams is or was gonna beat LA, and it’s gonna be fun to watch them lose and the brewers ‘fans’ go back to pretending not to care about baseball for another off season

  20. The brewers and their fanbase remind me of the padres and undoubtedly their cockiness and attitude will be the downfall of their run alongside of their ownership not doing what the dodgers, mariners, and blue jays did. But as a die hard Cubs fan i will definitely be rooting against the brewers when they play the dodgers, but looking towards the future the cubs have a bright one but there are definitely big questions and moves coming on the horizon

  21. It’s super weird for a team to win a series and fly an L flag. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I hope it gives them bad karma.
