Fuck me — that dude has been governor of Texas for over 10 years now? It doesn’t feel like it’s been that long, but also the last decade has only felt more like 5 years to me thanks to old age and the Covid pandemic.
I’ve rewatched that inning so many fucking times. Just leading up to that, and opening up with 5 straight singles, watching the collapse, the fans faces, the players faces… And then seeing Hosmer pad the lead in the 9th!

Literally one of the greatest games I ever watched. And then the wildcard 1 game series against the… A’s where I was so sure we were toast but came back to win. Damn, those two seasons were so epic fairytale like. What an awesome team we put together. Stolen bases and small ball. It was beautiful
