Chicago Blackhawks Fall 4-3 (OT) To Boston Bruins, Drop First Two Games of New Season

Connor Baddard and Frank Nazar, the Blackhawks top two offensive threats. Each had golden opportunities in overtime to give the Blackhawks their first win. But Yonas Corposalo made some unbelievable stops that allowed Frasier Minton to later go on and pot the game-winning goal. Blackhawks let one slip out of their grasp here in Boston. It’s now two consecutive games where they’ve put up respectable efforts but weren’t able to finish it out in the closing moments. But there were still plenty of promising takeaways, including Connor Baddard scoring a bullet of a one-timer for his first goal of the season and adding a primary assist later on. Andre Burikovsky showed signs of life for the first time in a Blackhawk sweater, scoring his first goal with the team and also adding an assist. Arvid Solderloom made some highlight reel saves of his own to keep the Blackhawks alive, but sadly they just weren’t able to come away with it in overtime. They’ll be looking for their first win on Saturday in their home opener against the Montreal Canadians.

  1. Good God why do the Blackhawks consistently hire ex cops for their shooting skills trainers. “Center mass boys, go for center mass, hit the goalie in the chest, hit those pads “.

Other teams? 5 hole, corner , lift the fkn puck , get it PAST THE GOALIE, not TO THR GOALIE.

    WTF.
