Atlanta Falcons Just Got A Triple Dose Of Good News Ahead Of The Bills Game

All right, the Atlanta Falcons are getting a triple dose of good news. I mean, they truly are. All right, and because the Buffalo Bills have three massive concerns as we head into this game, and there is a way that the Falcons can absolutely make this happen. I’m telling you, there is a way that they can make this happen. They’re waiting until Monday night to play this one. It’s that double header Monday night. And let me ask you a question. And they’re at home. which we know. But let me ask you a question about this. How do you feel about the Monday night double headers that the NFL is starting to put on? Like, do you like it? Don’t you? I have mixed feelings on it. Uh you you have the ESPN game, which is the early game. Bears Commanders are the late game. Look, I’m a guy who likes to watch football games in their entirety, and if there’s going to be two games at once, I don’t know. It just it kind of takes away from it for me. I just want to watch a game. And um yeah, sure, you can do the duel box. You can go back and forth and things like that. I’m just I don’t know. I’m curious what you think about the double Monday night game. Or don’t you care? And you’re like, Craig, don’t talk about the double Monday night game. Let’s just talk about what you were talking about before, which is the triple dose of good news for the Atlanta Falcons. If you are new to this channel, my name’s Craig. Me and my buddy Chris, we started this, we are Lions fans. We never uh shy away from that, but we start it because we love the NFL, especially those teams that the national media seems to ignore. Those teams like basically everyone in the NFC South, but the Falcons are absolutely one of them. We’ve always felt that with our Lions, and so now we’re going there. So, what is the backto backto back good news that um the the Falcons are getting? All right. It’s like the sky is falling over in Buffalo. All right. All right, so first one is linebacker woes. There is a big linebacker problem for the Bills. Matt Milano is good. He made his return, but he reinjured himself as was removed from the game. Shawn McDermott said he was weak to week having tweaked his pec again. Pec injuries, they they last a minute. All right, they last a minute. And the Buffalo linebackers have I don’t know how to play this. They haven’t been good. All right. Um, there were defensive injuries a year ago. There are defensive injuries now. So, we look at that. Um, Matt Milano injured. The normal starter for them is Dorian Williams. He’s got an injury of his own. Um, so now it’s veteran linebacker Shaq Thompson. He signed in July. All right. He’s not the guy. He’s not the guy. He’s not the guy to stop Bejian Robinson and this rushing attack that is the best I argue to say in the NFL for the Falcons. This is a game of strength against weakness. And this is going to be one of those old school games. Yes, it seems like, you know, you got the young gunslinger and Pennix, you got the the veteran Josh Allen. Is he the best quarterback in the NFL? I don’t know. He might be. But this game, I still think if you can make it a ground and pound, if you can go more old school, if you can keep the ball out of the offensive hands of Josh Allen and keep the ball with you, put together longer sustained drives, I do believe you can score on this team. You are a better team than the Patriots are. You are. And the Patriots were able to do it with a random set of running backs. All right. you have arguably the best running back in the league. Now, I told you I’m a Lions fan. I’m a big Jir Gibbs guy. I got to be honest. I am. Uh, but I do believe that Bejan Robinson is better than Squan. I know I said it. I did. Uh, especially this year because Saquon’s coming off like 400 some touches. Running backs that get that many touches, 350 is really the cap off. um they are um slowed down the next year, especially when they start getting into their late 20s. So, yes, I think this year, right now, uh through the first five weeks, you have the best running back in the NFL. All right, it doesn’t stop with the linebackers. All right, we are going to go into some stats, but the Bills run defense is nasty. All right, here you can see this right here. The Buffalo Bills have allowed 5.6 yards per rush attempt. Is this college football? Like that is what college football teams do. Like that’s that’s a decent running college football team through week five. That is tied for the second worst in the NFL. They also hold the dubious honor while they’re writing in this man. Oh man, of owning the league’s second worst rushing first down rate at 45.65%. That means that every carry the opposing team gets, almost half of them result in a first down. All right. Wow. That dismal mark is only worsened when we find that the Bills allowed rushing touchdown rate is 53.85%. Better than only three other teams. Look at the stats right here. You see it? It’s right here. They are not even close to the same team. Now, the question is, Ed Oliver going to come back at DTackle? If he does, that does make a difference. It does make a difference. But you have one of the best guards in the NFL, too. So, I feel like you can handle it. And if he does make the return, it it is likely that they’re going to be pushing him back to make the return. So, I think all of this is good news. So, here’s the keys to victory. All right. Here’s the keys to victory. And and I told you I would give I would give three um good news. And this is all what is happening to the Bills um rather than even what you have going on. All right. They resemble the walking wounded. On Saturday, head coach Sean McDermott revealed that his team has lost the services of two more key contributors, rookie defensive tackle TJ Sanders and reserve safety Demar Hamlin. Hamlin started for them last year, by the way, as the pair will be placed on IR. Both players will be required to miss four games. That obviously includes the game against the Falcons. So, this is a poor run defense with an injured interior. Whether it’s rookie defensive tackle TJ Sanders, whether it’s Matt Milano, whether it was his backup linebacker, whether it’s Demar Hamlin at the safety level, every level of the interior of that defense is hurt and they’re already not playing well. This should be a game where the Falcons are saying, “We want to prove something. We need to prove something. We want to prove that we are a legit team in this league. All right, we’re two and two. We have the opportunity to start making a push, making a run. You understand a slower start to the season. All right, it’s not a rookie quarterback. It’s a secondyear quarterback. I understand that. But he only made three starts. So, you can’t open things up. This is the time of the year that you start to open things up more. You just hit him with the run game. Hit him with the run game. Make him commit. and then Pennix and London can do their thing. Pits could be a great weapon in this game. When you have injured linebackers, you so often think that that’s just going to uh help the the run game. It also helps the passing game. It helps the tight end. Who’s guarding that tight end, right? Who are they putting on him? What? You got an injured safety, can’t put that on them. You got injured linebackers. That’s not going to go well. I would look for uh Bean Robinson to have a good game, Tyler Algier to have a good game. And I would look for Cal Pitts to have a big game. you need them to show up in this one and uh for you guys to attack the middle of the field and then I don’t think they have anybody that can guard London on the outside. So uh overall your offense matches up extremely well, extremely well against this defense and man oh man, you come off a great win against the Commanders. now come in beat the Bills and what looked like two games in the middle of your schedule or you know kind of early middle of your schedule um what look like two games that were really really difficult games to win um if you can come away with two wins in those games oh man all of a sudden this schedule really turns in your favor. All right, hope you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching. See you on the next one.

  1. I watched the Aints rack up around 200 yds on Bills defense with an aging Alvin Kamara. I didn’t need to see the Faketriots beat them to feel confident about this game!
