The Canadiens top line with Nick Suzuki Cole Caufield and Juraj Slafkovský has been great so far this season

  2. They are great 5v5 and this was something I want to also credit MSL with for letting these three cook, even when they had some rough patches.

  3. They are the prototype line: a smooth, high IQ 200-ft center, an offensive dynamo with an elite shot, and a huge puck retriever who can dish. That’s what everyone wants.

If Suzuki could win more faceoffs and if Slaf were more physical, they’d be the best line in the NHL.

  4. Wild that Nick has just been playing “okay” so far, but still has 5 assists. His “slow” starts are now “puts up over a PPG without you even noticing”. Look out once he’s fully in gear. I see no reason his trend of setting career bests every single year is gonna end.

  5. 67.7% shot share is actually wild considering we’ve been on the road for all 3 games. Every coach had the chance to match them how they want and they still outplayed whoever they had to by a wideee margin.

  6. I want Slaf to get double shifted more often 5v5 instead of playing PP. He is much more dynamic even strength. Marty isn’t using him to his strengths on the PP imo.

  7. poof, im so glad I got told this, because seeing it all this season and last season, I had no idea these guys could kick ass

  8. What does NST mean?

Also is the share with the rest of the team? If so, don’t we want the spread a bit more balanced out? I’m glad the first line is producing. But this seems to say we’re heavily reliant on the first line and if they get shutdown one night, we’re in trouble.
