  1. Would love to see what a competent QB that can get through his progressions would look like behind this OL. There is no way Glenn can watch the tape of this game and think Fields played anything close to acceptable. He should’ve been benched multiple times this game and yet he was allowed to give the game away to the Broncos

  2. It’s a young line for the most part so they will make mistakes but you can’t watch the game and think they are the problem. They are giving protection we could only dream of in past years.

  3. The O-Line isn’t a problem. Is it the best in the league? No lol. But is it far better than last year? Absolutely.

  4. There’s not even anything new to say about this. The only reason Fields should continue to start is so we can get the #1 overall pick. Otherwise, he should never start another game for this franchise

  5. I tried posting this here when I posted in r/nfl but I included the link in this sub when posting.

I’m guessing it got hung up with needing mod review or something since it never showed up and I don’t have any auto-mod responses from it.

  6. Yeah if on the o line I’m not happy played your ass off and qb let you down. Stacked boxes because they know you can’t pass. Glenn has to be worried about the locker room I would start feelers on Winston or other vets

  7. 5 seconds. My god that’s a lifetime in NFL pocket time. Fields better be getting them all a rolls or Rolex at seasons end.

  8. What would be the point of benching fields? He at least has a small chance to improve. Why do u want an old qb with no future to win meaningless gamed

  9. Fields can’t read a defense or throw the ball,  so naturally our gameplan was to predictably run inside every first and second down, setting up 3rd and long, the situation where it is hardest to throw the ball.

    Brilliant coaching

  10. If you have 3 seconds you have to get find someone. If you have almost 6 seconds, you better be unstoppable

  11. There’s probably 50 QBs in the NFL that win that game for the Jets and Fields isn’t one of them lmfao

  12. Ok I hear you. I do. But god damn I just *want* Fields to succeed here. And if it takes all season to find out he’s not the guy then what’s the difference?
If Glenn sticks with him and stands by him and they go down together I’d rather that than pivot to Tyrod for meaningless win or two.

I’d rather really see what we’ve got, in coach, qb, and god damned team, than just try something new very couple of weeks

  13. There was a sack late in the fourth where Membou threw up his hands in disgust because I think they were running quick game (a catch the snap and throw type play) where Fields just held onto it and got sacked.

That time doesn’t come from Fields using his mobility either, he’s literally standing there for 3-4 seconds just not pulling the trigger. Seems like the pre-draft and Bears scouting reports were exactly right about him.

  14. The O-line only gave up one hold with those numbers too.

Maybe we are just a QB away. 😂

  15. There was one play where Fields tried to exit the pocket right; if he had gone left, there was a gigantic seam for him. He had his eyes downfield and didn’t see anything he liked and then exited right into the rush.

  16. It’s the problem of decision making, and how that decision making is evaluated by the QB. A thing not talked about much here because we focus on the OL, coaching and play calling is Fields’ inability to make a decision. He is thinking about too many things while he’s under center. He’s thinking about being benched, throwing an interception, where GW is on the field, should he run, protecting the ball from a fumble while he stands there and takes a sack. He’s not a QB that can process and evaluate the field of play in front of him. He’s jaded. The trades and lack of confidence in him have all just gotten to his head. He cannot lead an NFL team rn. He just cannot. He seems like a good kid generally but it’s just not the role for him.

  17. Especially with a QB with legs. I think Fields had some serious London – pardon the pun, Jet lag.

  18. You need to switch to Tyrod if for no other reason than to ensure you can properly evaluate the progress of the OL, Mason Taylor, and even Engstrand himself (not to mention keeping Garrett sane). You’ll lose the locker room (and miss out on key development opportunities) by sticking with Fields.

  19. I think the Oline will be fine–the two number ones are good players and Vera Tucker will hopefully be back.

  20. ESPN Breaking news The New York Jets have been notified that they will be removed from the N.F.L. and be relocated to the ACC conference.

  21. Rumor is that Fields is still on that field, tapping the ball while looking for an open receiver.
