One of the All Time greatest plays IMO
I love how Jeter downplayed it after like, what? That’s my assignment in that situation if both cutoff men are missed on a throw to the plate from the right field corner…
Never realized Thom “Deep drive to left by Castellanos” Brennaman was on this call
In real time he always looked safe to me but you can tell Jorge nabbed him just before his foot hit home plate, such a great play.
Back when we had winning players. They did the impossible or improbable in big moments.
Now we have bat flipping idiots who do very little in the playoffs and party right after getting eliminated.
How embarrassing will it be to see Toronto lose easily to Seattle? Considering they destroyed the Yankees basically.
I will never forget this. Ran down to the basement to pull out my copy of Sports Illustrated from the next week.
