NYR vs WSH: Mike Sullivan Postgame Media Availability | Oct. 12
Yeah, I you know, I thought the team played extremely well and that’s what I said to the guys after the game. You know, um for our coaching staff, we’re we’re most concerned about how we play, how we win, and how we lose. And sometimes you can’t control whether the puck was in the net or not. Um, but I thought from an effort standpoint, um, determination, our attitude, it’s the it’s the for me, this type of game is the is the kind of game that we’re trying to build. And, uh, you know, we had our looks, we had some great looks, you know, um, they got some key saves at key times, you know, give them credit, but I thought our guys played extremely well. If we continue to play with that kind of an effort and that kind of focus and attention to detail, I think I think we’re going to win more games than we lose. That’s for sure. You feel like it was just one of those games you got to take your hat to the other goalie or do you feel like there was more that you guys Yeah. No, I I thought it was a good hockey game, you know. I thought it was a good hockey game. I thought Quickie made some real good saves for us, you know, but as I said, I thought, you know, we had we had some really good looks, you know, it it we just couldn’t seem to find the back of the net. From a from a process standpoint, I thought our intentions were in the right place and our guys competed extremely hard. Mike, process-wise, would you say that this was the closest you’ve come, like the best you’ve played in four games? Absolutely. Yeah, I think this was the best game we’ve played all year. Uh the most complete game that we’ve played all year, you know, against a really good team. You know, I thought the guys played hard. You know, both teams were coming off back to backs. Um, you know, I thought both teams had pretty good energy given that circumstance. Um, I thought it was a real good hockey game. What did you think of Robinson? I thought he was solid. You know, I thought he was solid. He has good size. He has good mobility. He’s got a good stick. Um, he has some physicality to him. You know, I thought he he kept his puck possession game simple. What was the decision to bring it up tonight? Um we’re trying to make decisions based on what we see uh to put combinations together that we to see if we can have some success. Um you know Johnny’s Johnny’s had a a pretty solid camp. Um, so we’re trying to move people in and out to give guys an opportunity to see see what we have and see if you know we we can find a combination in that bottom six that’s going to work for us.

This game wasn't on any major streaming platform. Its the 21st Century…you shouldn't have to have a cable package to watch Ranger games. If the NHL wants to grow the game in the US, then they need to figure out of people under the age of 50 consume media… I know they have a better streaming set up in Canada so fix yourself…
Can we get a goal in our own stadium 😭
I was at the game and it was the most boring game I’ve ever been too
The power play wasn't very good because nobody was moving without the puck, that's why they didn't score.
As far as clearing the defensive zone, they were horrible. I've watched all 4 games and these guys don't look like they're having fun.
One + is Jonathan Quick can build off his performance
