Minnesota Vikings Injury Updates: Who’s Returning Soon?
[Music] What’s going on Jeromes? So Minnesota Vikings off of buy and looking to get healthy and looking to get ready for that stretch run and things are looking up. You know, we said at the time, you even though the Vikings had 27 bajillion injuries to start the season, is that the bulk of the the injuries were short-term to medium-term and the Vikings getting to three and two- which frankly is kind of amazing, you know, given the Vikings went through two quarterbacks. The Vikings had 14 different offensive line combinations. the Vikings run defense. Ayah, but three and two, resting up at the buy, everyone getting healthy, and we’ll get more uh in-depth injury updates from Kevin McConnell to start the week as he’ll probably feed the local media jackles today. Uh but just looking at some injury updates, and we have to separate into players that have missed time with injuries or potentially could miss time uh and players that are on currently on injury deserve. So of course at the top McCarthy high ankle sprain missed the last three games is dayto-day reportedly from Tom Pelisero got some extensive work in over the buy. Uh we’ll see how he progresses in practice this week. Carson Wentz who we noted like shoulder issue ribs issue might actually be two shoulder issues but uh ideally both of them will be healthy and good to go because I mean this is a league of attrition and you do need two quarterbacks in this league nowadays. Uh Diamond Jackson had that scheduled surgery after that Bengals game where so he had the torn ligament in during the Bengals game. The Vikings were badass and you Jackson being out there’s been a bit of a gong show along the offensive line, but he’s been slated to return a week seven against the Eagles. He did not miss uh he he was not placed on injury reserve, which is good to see. Uh so he he looks to take back his spot at left guard. And then you got Michael Jurgens, backup center, who started in place of Ryan Kelly. So he he’s been dayto-day with the hamster ring. Although it did open the door for Blake Brandle, mama, I’m so hard to Brandon now. Uh for Blake Brle to take up his spot uh at center, which might be his real position. Also, we we didn’t take Nick Bandit off this, but it’s been so so many damn like microtransactions. Uh Brian O’Neal uh had that scary MCL against the Steelers where Oh, so apparently that Steelers are allowed to contact the long snapper and throw the long snapper into Brian O’Neal’s knee when he’s playing left tackle on extra point/field goal. Good to know. He was not placed on injured reserve is deemed to be week to week. We’ll see about these next two weeks. Uh ideally like you if it was a grade one sprain, grade two somewhere in there. didn’t go on IR which is good good news but giving him a full month to fully recover maybe looking at November 2nd week nine against Detroit it’s probably going to be the target for him and then you got Andrew Van Ginkle with the neck I don’t know man so it’s a an injury that lingered over training camp and then he did play intermittently to start the season had two sacks and eight two two sacks and eight snaps earlier in the year but has missed a slate of games as of late and there’s been no real updates or progress uh with Ben Genko, but we we might get some news uh this week. It’s noteworthy that he wasn’t placed on Android reserve, but also the Vikings are sort of running out of IR design for return spots because I think the rules you can bring back eight. Actually, I should look it up. Hold on. There’s a really good part. NFL IR return rules. NFL teams can return up to eight players from IR during the regular season, up to 10 if they make the postseason. So 10. Yeah. Uh so that that could also be a reason why the Vikings haven’t placed players all willy-nilly on injury reserve because the run out of spots because remember CJ Hams also started on injury reserve. Tyler Baddy started the season haven’t brought him back. So they bring all these dudes back. That’s six. It’s week six. Well, week seven now. Ryan Kelly trying to save him from himself. Two concussions in three weeks. So he’s going on IR. uh he he missed uh he he’ll miss through week 10. Baltimore is the earliest that he can return. Uh so that that’ll be the earliest that the Vikings have their starting five offensive linemen of Daras Jackson, Kelly, Fry, and O’Neal, which Aaron Jones, he’s eligible to return next week on the short week against the Chargers. Now, in his place, Jordan Mason has looked really good as the Bellcow as well as Xavier Scots looked good in the third down role. I I know they both lost fumbles, but you know, but having a spark like Aaron Jones back uh rested, ready to go will be great. Although with hamstrings, you know, his his burst conditioning, you know, that that could be taken a hit early on. So, we’ll see. Ty Chandler had that knee injury week one against the Bears. Uh still gutted it out, still iced the game with that return at the end. Uh he’s eligible to return uh this week. Uh but we’ll see if there’s any movement there. Uh Tyler Baddy started the season on IR, doesn’t return. He started his 21-day window. Same as CJ Ham has not been activated yet. Then Blake Cashman outside, how about that? Is eligible to return and is in the midst of his 21day return to practice window. And that would be great because the Vikings have been very bad against the run as of late. So Cashman returning would be fantastic. and as well as just figuring something out along the offensive line, whether it’s Darasaw Jackson, Brle Fry, O’Neal, getting Ryan Kelly back, there’s lots lots of moving parts. Oh. Oh, yeah. And both both of your top two quarterbacks are injured. So, the bro show is the only fully healthy quarterback on the rooster. So, it’s just great. Just great, man. Anyways, that’s it. That’s it. Uh, like I said, we we’ll get further updates from Kevin McConnell likely today. Uh, but Vikings injury updates coming off the buy. Let us know thoughts comment section. You guys the best you know to do skull production value.

Keep wentz in!
Letβs see the Bro Show!!!
I would keep Wentz in for these few hard games coming up with those defenses coming up, plenty of time for JJ to play this year.
Best Vikings channel period!!!!
Kelly needs to retire, for his own good, for the good of his family, and for the good of the team.
