At this point I’m also feeling bad for Levis. He had his own problems but was clearly a scapegoat for bad coaching.
So what I am seeing is that Cam is going to be stud in 3 years on another team.
Turns out good coaching and roster management are super important. Who would have thought.
It’s not Levis’s fault
Obviously football is a team sport.
Titans have more holes on their team than just the coaching staff
Not a fan of any NFL team. Would caution Titan fans on giving up on Ward way to early. Even Bryce Young is starting to turn the corner. Ward needs time and a franchise that isnt ran like shit.
I could weirdly see the Giants managing to get 8-9 this season.

See, if you just wait 7 or 8 years, you might get a serviceable, slightly above average qb.
If Cam Ward played like this with a half decent line and receivers that held onto the football or could create even one step of separation on their own I would totally blame him.
I just think it’s hard as a rookie quarterback with a bad offensive line to consistently play from third and long. I don’t think you understand the rage. I have watching that game yesterday as he threw one yard screen after one yard screen and everybody was saying they were warming him up. I thought that’s what pregame was for.
This coaching staff offensively is bad. I give the defense credit because the first halves are always good. The Raiders only score a field goal if they don’t get the ball on the 1 yard line from a completely missed blitz. By the way for people who don’t play football protection is from inside out. There is no way that he or should have had a free run at the quarterback you get beat off the edge fine up the middle before you even finish your drop back. That’s a coaching issue because somebody didn’t understand the assignments
The Browns, Jets, Titans, Bears, Panthers and Jaguars organizations are some of the recent recipients of first round QB talent. The thing is that these organizations have perennially ruined the futures of so many QBs because the organization is not well run from the top down. It’s not just the GM, the coaching staff, or misjudged talent. It’s actually harmful to these QBs to get drafted by any of these teams. Stats are gonna be terrible. You’re gonna get hurt. You’ll have really bad games. And you won’t get to learn from any of it because the coach was fired, you’re hurt, you’re trying to learn another new offense while also running for your life every play because the line is trash. Your confidence gets some destroyed and you’re on the practice squad or a backup for a contender on a team with stability before you realize… it really wasn’t that I am a terrible QB. I’m an NFL QB that was drafted by an awful team that has never seen success and won’t see success until there are some changes at the very top.
Nah Cam Ward is supposed to pick up Van Jefferson and Brian Callahan on his back and take them to the promise land
Enjoy seeing Cam Ward balling on the Rams or Vikings in a few years
Is any reasonable person bailing on Cam at this point? If Cam still struggles for the next guy we bring in after Cally, that’s the time to start getting concerned. Rookies tend to struggle especially when the talent around them is average
OK, now do Anthony Richardson, Trey Lance, Kenny Pickett, Justin Fields, etc. Some guys are good regardless, some guys are bad regardless, other guys are a function of their surroundings. Eventually the league figures it out.
Yeah the whole system is fucked. You have coaches and GMs acting on one or two year windows to save their multi-million dollar jobs, but the QBs need a longer time to develop, not to mention good support around them, but by design the best talent is drafted to the worst organizations.
The Steelers are so competent they can’t get their hands on a QB but the jets get to ruin multiple of them.
Baker came from the Rams/Panthers and Darnold came from the Vikings
Do we think that this is going to start having a tangible effect on how agents prepare their QB clients going into the draft? Will more of them start refusing to workout for bottom dwellers or holdout if drafted by one anyway?
Baker Mayfield was good from the start. He immediately turned the franchise around.
His career dropped off after he hurt his shoulder and OBJ poisoned the locker room. His time in Carolina was bad, but that doesn’t take away from how well he was playing in his first few seasons.
Cam has looked rough and it already has fans revising their takes on Levis. Absolutely insane.
Yes, the team can obviously be an issue. But the “talented young QB” can also be the issue. Daniel Jones is a good example…as was Ryan Tannehill a few years ago here. Both those situations simply required a good QB and the franchises took off.
Mind you, I think we have more issues than a QB solves, but “food for thought”.

Baker mayfield never looked nearly as bad as cam
Caleb Williams is a piece of shit tho
Baker mayfield doesn’t play for the Browns, does he?
Nope. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baker_Mayfield?wprov=sfla1
