It’s wild some people are laying all the blame on 16

  1. I don’t know why anyone would blame him over our receivers and o-line…and little…and defense leaving SMITH-NJIGBA open for like the first half of the game

  2. Look, we’re 4-2 and overall this season has been a wild success so far. The offense is young and still getting things figured out.

Does Trevor still miss too many layups lately? Yes.
Do we make too many self-inflicted errors? Yes

Can we fix those things as the season goes on. Remains to be seen, but I think so. Let’s all try to relax and enjoy being a team on the right side of the power rankings for a bit.

  3. Y’all are hypersensitive. Everyone gets a share of the blame, including the qb. No need to make a million threads defending Trevor

  4. Trev got hit that many times and didn’t fumble, he didn’t force the ball and throw an int. He had a defender in his face on MOST of his drop backs and threw 3 touchdowns, one of which was taken away by a rookies mistake (hunter lined up offsides) on a short week. Only a casual fan with terrible football iq and basically zero common sense would blame trev. The o line got embarrassed and their names should be the ones being discussed on this sub rather than the guy they almost let die yesterday

  5. This has been the case for quarterbacks for decades; they get the credit for the wins, and the blame for the losses, regardless of their actual performance in either case.

  6. There were some trash play calls that fall on Coen. They have a winning record, they’re competing across the board; that’s all that matters.

  7. Trevor’s not the only problem but he is a problem. We simply aren’t getting the consistency from him that you need in this league. It not a great situation around him but the elite QBs generally figure it out. Unfortunately he’s just an average NFL QB and he’s not capable carrying a team deep into the playoffs like the elite QBs can. We could be worse off, but stop acting like Trevor is even a top 10 QB. He’s average at best.

  8. Comedy of errors. O line can’t block trevor had someone in his lap all day. Your kicker leaves 4 points off the board and changes your strategy the rest of the game. Fix the errors and move on

  9. Team effort on sucking yesterday.

It is a mistake to put this all on the OL.

Where was the pass rush? Where were open receivers? How many penalties did we have? Where were we crisp and looking like a team that had their shit together?

  10. people complaining about the play calling should take a minute and reflect on the fact that a complete inability to block in the run or pass game may constrain how you call a game

  11. I mean we can be honest. He missed some throws. He always does. I never just sit and shit on him in game day threads like half the people do because ??? No one is going to succeed under duress like that.

  12. Seattle’s DL and pass rush was exactly my concern coming into this game. Learn and move on time.

  13. I just rewatched and our O line was horrid. There were throws that were way too high. Receivers have to either extend or turn their body to get their hands on it. Even the TD pass wasn’t as clean of a throw as it should have been.

  14. The reason is, he missed all the give me plays that could have made the difference… over throwing 8yd outs. The Oline look like shit. Still wondering why we gave Fred back to the eagles. Gladstone got some big balls in trading our #1 CB mid season. Secondary looked lost.

  15. Seattle’s defense was just too good. Etienne and Hunter weren’t able to put up any meaning yardage. Little missing the extra points and playing without Strange didn’t help either. Then we also had to play against Smith-Njigba. Dude is on his way to a 2k season.

  16. I still can’t believe the broadcast blamed him for a holding call by the left tackle because Trevor had to escape the pocket and “left him no choice”…

  17. Don’t forget like the 3 or 4 major plays he and/or ETN made through the air that got called back by penalties.

Anyone in the thread shitting on Trevor yesterday are absolute idiots.

  18. The Trev thing will never go away because of the label he had coming out of college he will always be compared to the best in the league and will not match up well, so people that don’t like him will always have ammo to blame him

  19. I think we need another pass rusher. I think it’s the one thing that could make this defense special.

  20. But he didn’t help anyone in their fantasy league.

But his players cost people bets.

    But the analytics say………

But, fuck em. It’s easy as hell to bitch about how did what. Especially sitting wherever they are, with their swath of knowledge. Obviously they know more than the people who actually do this shit for a living(players/coaches/staff…)

But yeah. Trevor is to blame. He obviously couldn’t block everyone the Seahawks sent and throw the ball and run the ball and……

  21. I feel like no one is actually watching the damn games when they say this shit, yeah he has some boneheaded games and moments but that was not it. Not even close.

  22. There have been plenty of losses during his career that I thought he bore a lot of the blame for, but yesterday wasn’t one of them (neither was Cincinnati). He had one bad miss on the short throw to the tight end. Even under good conditions, qbs miss throws. Under yesterday’s conditions one bad miss is practically miraculous.

  23. Lots of smarter math people than I have done statistical studies to prove that sacks are a QB stat, not an O-line stat.

  24. Our o-line fucked Trevor so hard he looked like a Jeff Dunham puppet. They were a disgrace to this thing of ours.

  25. It’s exhausting that fans are either “Trevor is a bum” or “Trevor is a Godsend. It’s everybody else’s fault”. The season is young and we have still 5 division games. Give the guy a chance to get right with this system and his offensive teammates. If he can’t pull it together after 17 games, it’s time to recalibrate our expectations of him in the long term interests of the team.

  26. Trevor is imperfect — his decision-making and pass placement were certainly questionable at various points as they have been at times throughout the year. But he got pressured like CRAZY that many times without a fumble or a pick. Definitely not the reason they lost the game, but still took leadership post-game.

Now just tell the O line it is indeed legal to block, and tell Cam Little the goal is to kick the ball between the posts.

  27. And Baker threw for 256 (2 less yards than Trev) and 2 TDs and people are saying he’s an MVP frontrunner

Of course, not all stats are built the same and Baker did outplay Trevor yesterday, but it just shows narratives and overreactions

  28. Year 5 and it’s still never his fault. Andrew Luck and Russ Wilson had piss poor OLs and still managed to win games. Trev’s problem is that he has no clue how to deal with pressure. At least 2 of those sacks, he stepped right into the pressure.

  29. Is trevor flawed and a long way away form matching the hype? Yeah

But not everything is his fault and he still has potential. Bad coaches and OCs as well as not having help stunts development. Its still a process. The culture is changing and Lawrence will benefit but it takes time
