  1. I feel like 1B/3B is pretty low on the priority list.

Those spots should be taken by Rice and McMahon next season.

  2. a 29yo “1B/3B” is not going to solve this team’s problems, and would probably only create more

  3. We need him. Very low strikeout rate, good defense, and rakes. Righty bat to complement McMahon and Rice.

  4. Hideki Matsui also played for the Giants, but he seems to have avoided the posting system via free agency.

  5. He’s like the Japanese Isaac Paredes. Raw power is okay but he is great at pulling fly balls to left.

Which is just not a fit for YSII.

  6. How will he make Fried and Rodon not pitch bad in the same week?

Because that’s why the Yankees got knocked out.

  7. the team’s problems are organizational. i dont think it really matters who they sign tbh

  8. Honestly dont see it as a big need. McMahon is under contract for 2 more years. Rice should be the starting first baseman next year, and I’d welcome Goldschmidt back if the price is right and he is ok with a reduced role.

  9. Decisions, decisions, the Yankee front office will have to make. BUT sadly, are they even close to competent enough to make the right ones during the hot stove season????
